I just came across your UA-cam channel a few days ago and I LUV it! I am a lifelong record collector/audiophile that has moved between formats (vinyl & silver spinning discs) for years until deciding to commit to everything hi-rez (SACD) and immersive/surround audio (DTS, SACD and Blu-ray) a few years ago. Even though I no longer collect vinyl, I do find your content to be very helpful and informative! I am looking forward to seeing more of your channel's content in 2025...Cheers!
Great conversations throughout the year! Thanks for all the interviews. There’s just an onslaught of great reissues this decade (not a complaint!) I am very excited for the upcoming Green Day One Step, and I’ll keep an eye out for more Rhino HiFi and Bluesville series titles from AP! My favorite label from the year was Numero Group, releasing some amazing hidden gems, an amazing label! I’m curious about the upcoming Creedence titles from Craft, I cannot find any details about the cut or source on those. Cheers everyone!
Great show! For me, this year I loved the Rhino HiFi titles (particularly the Sabbath title and ZZ Top and Doors box sets), the Kick and Purple AP75’s, the Gaucho UHQR and the Rhino Sounds Of The Summer release of War’s Greatest Hits!
There was a two LP 45rpm issue of that Clooney/Prado album, “Touch of Tabasco” about 10 years ago. It was issued by ORG and cut by Bernie Grundman. I have a copy and it sounds fantastic! You should be able to find it on Discogs or eBay.
It wasn't just Doors and Beatles released on Nov 22nd... Marilyn Manson released his new album the same day and it is almost unanimously LOVED by fans! He's always at his best when the lynch mob is outside his gates with pitchforks and torches.
Alice In Chains reissued JAR OF FLIES and BGWTB quite nicely. Also, Amon Tobin's PERMUTATION. LA WOMAN obviously got two incredible AAA reissue treatments by AP and Rhino. Coltrane's GIANT STEPS pressed to 45rpm for AP's Atlantic 75 series. BIRTH OF THE BLUE by AP. Amazing year.
@stevewestman7774, I'm appalled that you so quickly dismissed Michael T's mention of the Weezer Blue album 45RPM reissue (54:57), and steamrolled the conversation with it with yet another copy of Aja!! Us Gen-X-ers want to hear more great re-issues from the 90's onwards... Take a listen to that Weezer re-issue if you can, it's worthy of some air time discussion at least. That, and the two Stone Temple Pilots AP75 reissues were my best "Audiophile" albums of the year. Good show otherwise!
5:15 be more transparent with what you're saying because your math doesn't add up. I'm guessing you decided to order it from another country and paid the $30 USD shipping and conversion and fees. You could have just bought it in a Canadian store like Audiopile and paid the regular price but it was your choice to import it.
If one of those upcoming Rhino Hi-Fi boxes isn’t The Smiths, I’ll revolt! 😅😩🙏🏻
Let the revolt begin!! 😂

Much appreciated. Thanks for watching. All the best in 2025.
glad to know about the pentangle recordings. I need a clean copy.
Best 2024 is Deutche Grammophones "Original Source" Series. Legendaries classical recordings remastered to EXCELLENT sound!
Yes DG is cutting some great sounding albums.
That Rosemary Clooney / Perez Prado has the best recording of "Sway" ever made. Hope that's a tease for an audiophile release.

Nov 22 was epic.

Yes. I agree. Hard to beat 2024. Happy New Year Austin.
@@stevewestman7774 Happy New Year, Steve! Thanks for the entertaining content.
I saw INXS open up for The Go-Go’s at Jones Beach in Wantagh NY in 1984
Good for you bud
Late to the party. But I think The The’s Ensoulment should get a nod. It sounds great too.
Yes. Love The The. Let’s hope. 🙏🙏
The Royal Scam is my favorite Dan album!
Agreed.
I find Hi Fi shops use Aja for demonstration purposes

Yacht rock was being said back in the 80s, it isn't new.

Bought the MOFI Abraxas off their website. So when the smoked cleared with exchange, duty and shipping cost it ended up to be well over $130 CAD.
