One of the best things that I did recently after I had a ton of make up accrued was that I actually booked an appointment with a makeup artist who went through my entire collection of make up and she was able to tell me what I had that really wasn’t the best colours For my skin tone and hair and complexion and which makeup products were better for my skin type at this point now that I’m getting older and my skin texture is changing a little bit. She also showed me how to use the products that I had properly in terms of placement and how to start with a basic routine and build up from there if I wanted to go fancier without having to add in additional products. She really paired down my make up to a much more manageable level
I think going to someone who is a professional in that field actually quelled my desire to buy more make up because she could point me in the right direction of which products to continue buying or looking for, and which ones to avoid and confirmed that I had more than enough there to meet my needs

I have a minimalist makeup tip that helps curb purchases. I sometime use my lipstick as cheek color. Much easier to match and lipstick becomes multipurpose.
I no longer own/buy blusher as I realised I can't even finish half a product in 4-5 years. I own 3 lipsticks: one brownish, one pinkish, one red. Just those 3 products give me endless combinations of shades for my cheeks, lids, lips.
One in, one out. I have one of everything, even lip products (one lipstick, one tinted balm, one clear gloss). I used to have a massive collection but I found I was only using my favourite items so I gave away what I wasn’t using. It’s so much easier to do my makeup now.

Still working on my buying habits when it comes to makeup but I try to pay attention to textures and look at my stash first. I used to also be afraid of expiration dates so I’d replace powder products right away, now I try to extend them by cleaning them often with makeup sanitizer and just checking before use. Not that this format wasn't great but I like when you put them category by category on the table together and then you declutter. I think the visuals of all of it together is better. So it's like you see how many in one category like 4 eyeshadows, 3 mascaras lol. The flat lay makes me feel happier lol. But still adore you.
Fantastic timing -- I hit 2 pans this morning! I tend to buy products I want while they're on sale and store them as backups until I need them, but I try to not have more than 2 backups at a time (like 2 mascaras, for example.) I feel like I've really hit my stride with my makeup this year, so it's easier to avoid and declutter what's not my vibe. I haven't found favorites in some categories so that's where I'm struggling most right now.

My everyday makeup bag is from Amazon as well, but it's in this lavender shade and it's come in handy! It's just nice to have only the essentials when it comes to makeup, and ngl, I remember going through phases of being influenced by other UA-cam beauty gurus when I was younger.... These days, I do try to be intentional; making lists has become a go-to buffer for me! The next product on my wish list is an eye shadow that has some color since my last purchase was a neutral eye shadow palette.

I just completed a makeup declutter after falling out of love with products I had used since college (but not boy brow - also an OG fangirl and boy brow and I are mates for life). I researched new products that fit my needs now in my late 20s and a lot of them were RMS ones you shared loving - so super affirming!
To sufficiently declutter, I need to shake the feeling of guilt. I am not wealthy, yet I used overconsumption of makeup products in the past for instant gratification when I was feeling sad or stressed. Sometimes I had to skip dinner to afford these purchases, so now it saddens me to just throw them away, even if they are collecting dust.
I tend to stick with powder products because they have a much longer shelf life. The exception, of course, is lip products, but I wear those more, so I don't have them long enough for them to spoil. This was a departure from your usual videos, but I really enjoyed it! ❤
I put washi tape over a foundation label that peels. My fav mascara is cover girl. I’m on a makeup no buy, I have some wishlist items but also things I want to pan first. Great video!
I’m a big fan of the Lancôme lash idole mascara, gives just the right amount of curling, lengthening and light thickening of lashes, plus never had any issues with transfer.
If your eyeshadow breaks, you can pour a little alcohol in the package and mix the broken pieces together; then let evaporate. It happened to my Stila Kitten eyeshadow - I dropped the little pot, and it shattered into several pieces. Did the alcohol mix and it went back together.
this helped me a lot!! I was always trying to have less and less makeup and sometimes I really just didn't want to choose between things that i loved and ended up feeling super guilty about the quantity of items.
If you want to use that Saie Glowy super gel, try adding a pump to your skincare. I usually blend it in with other products. I have that one and the bronze one and like to use them that way.

But for the last two years I’ve been doing a huge declutter and now I own 3 lipsticks for different occasions. 1 mascara - I really recommend⭐️ 3 eyeliners in different colors, 3 shades of eyeshadow, 1 concealer, 1 foundation, 1 setting powder, 1 eyebrow gel 1 eyebrow pencil, 1 bronzer and 2 crème rouge for different occasions everything from Glossier❤ I also own a few makeup brushes. I feel a let less stress and love my makeup bag🤩 I never feel like I’m missing any makeup either. I only wish I could be this strict with my closet though. But it is a good start.
I simplified years ago and love it. Although I’ll confess I am drying to try more products! (RMS is on my list for sure. So curious about Jones Road. Definitely wan to to try the Merit blush.) I try to keep to a rule of not buying a new one until the old one is used up/expired/etc. I have it down to SPF or tinted SPF depending on how I feel. Concealer (currently using the Nars creamy concealer and do use it with my fingers.) Eye shadow stick (Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier or even Elf). Some sort of stick/cream blush (currently using an LA Girl, it is just ok.) Mascara (always on the look out for another. Currently loving a Tarte mascara but want to try the Elf Lash extender tubing mascara.) And finally lip in Cover Girl Outlast in 549-amazing how a lip brings the natural-but-better all together. I have a lot of Bare Minerals mineral veil and Original formula left. I used to use them all the time but lately feel like they are settling into my lines. I am a lot older than you. 😊. I love your videos. I started with you way back to get the reviews of what clothes you were buying but have adored your debt/budget journey. You go girl!!!!❤❤❤🎉
Recently I get rid of an expired mascara and eyebrow gel. Also a handful of nail polish. I only have one eyeshadow palette that I rarely use, maybe this video is my sign to start using it. Love the concept and until the next video 😊

On the miracle balm maybe putting it in a smaller jar would help? Not saying you gotta keep it by any means lol but when I have a large product I put it in travel jars. It makes it more attainable for me to finish!

I really love the RMS Straight Up Mascara. I buy two at a time because I always use them. I've become so particular about makeup that I only buy my favorites as I run out. I know what I like and what works, so I'm less likely to be tempted by new products. It took me years to get to this place, though. I also feel anxious if I have too many products in my drawer.
Hi Christina, Armani does have a smaller bottle for this foundation but I’m not sure they do all the shades in it. However it’s almost as expensive as the large one 🙄but at least you don’t waste product. It was lovely to see your collection and declutter!
Try the auric glowlust instead of the charlotte flawless filter, it comes in a pump and its a bit more thick so it perfects the skin and often i just need concealer with it!

One tip for your CT Flawless Filter bottle: put a piece of clear packing or scotch tape over the paint that’s flaking so it won’t get mixed in on your hands. Love your collection, we have several products in common 😊
A blush/lip tip! If you use a powder blush, buy a lip balm in clear. Dip your lip balm in the blush and apply. Instant match! Im no help on mascara, Im still in search of a favorite. Just started a tube of Tarte Maneater, jury still out.
Blush twins! I love the Merit flushbalm in Stockholm. Its been my daily for the last couple of months. I've had RMS Beachwalk Betty on my wishlist for a while, but I'm hesitant to get it without trying it out, and its not in stores around here.
Auric makes a dupe of the Tom Ford cream shadows! Also, I think a cotton pad with rubbing alcohol would take off the rest of the text on the CT Hollywood flawless filter so you don't have to deal with that! If that doesn't work, then nail polish remover (carefully). But it's unideal that it's a problem at all!
That was a fun video. I decluttered my makeups the other day, mostly just eye shadow pallets I decluttered bc the colors were similar and formulas were better in other pallets. I get stuck on keeping makeup for Halloween haha. 😊 Everyday use is very little to none.
I've already reduced makeup so much over the years , but now that I've bought into the seasonal color system I've reduced even further. Seeing how different the right colors look is surprising, fun, and keeps me focussed on what works. I no longer bother even trying the rest anymore - they never quite worked and now I know why.
My daughter and I use Thrive mascara. I tried going back to a less expensive drugstore brand but realized why Thrive is worth it. I will only purchase Thrive moving forward.
I love (makeup) declutters! Just one tip for future declutters : maybe add the brand and products names on the screen while swatching them? That truly helps if people want to write down what they might want to buy.
I love the mascara from Victoria Beckham Beauty, actually all the products from that line! I’ve also heard great things about the Gucci mascara but haven’t tried it yet

For the packaging that rubs off, try putting some clear coat nail polish over it or wrapping it in washing tape. It should protect your fingers from the transfer.
I’m really more obsessed with colorful make-up, and so in love with glitter. I do not have much of face products but more of the eyeshadows and lip products. Some of them I don’t really like but try to use them up just to not throw away. I try not to buy new make up a lot, but I like experimenting with different colors and shades and I really wear them after. My biggest temptation sometimes is drugstore cosmetics because it is cheap and I can buy more 😅 Also would like to say hello from Ukraine, I see your necklace and it seems like you have a Ukrainian lastname, thank you so much for your videos!
I don't wear makeup except for special occasions like a wedding. I'm more of a lipgloss and go girl. My makeup for special occasions includes a skin tint serum I can add to my moisturizer, a cream blush stick, an eye quad, a clear brow gel, a cream bronzer (I don't know if I have even used it), a blurring powder, an eyelash curler, a couple of lipsticks and a couple of lipglosses. Almost everything is trial or travel size. I think that is everything I own. Everything fits into a bag about the size on my hand. I am concerned about items going bad as I use them so seldom, which is why I stick to the smallest options I can buy 🤷
I have fair skin like you and I ❤the Makeup by Mario Skin Enhancer in light too! It’s the perfect about of warmth for very light skin. Mine looks a mess too 😂 and I have a backup! It’s the only bronzer I have used that I actually like because it’s so natural and adds just enough to enhance the skin just like the name 😉
Yes there is a small version of Giorgio Armani foundation. It’s the perfect size for me because I use Pat McGrath foundation daily. I pump only a tiny bit out and spread with my fingers. So thin and skin lightweight!

Decanter the amount of foundation that you need and store the rest in your fridge-ladts forever (well, not really, but definitely prolongs the life of your make up and fragrances btw)
If it’s expired and hasn’t changed it’s likely completely fine. Expiration dates are required and no company will wait years for things to go bad; if it’s good after two years, it goes to market with a two-year expiration date. 🤷🏻♀️
my favorite mascara is wet n wild, the waterproof pink tube. i see no reason to spend any more on a mascara when this one doesn't flake or run! *my makeup minimalism:* one of each item, with the exception of 3 lippies (not including lip balms). i have an every-day look that i don't care to change, aside from the intensity of my mascara layers & lip color. it's really a ride-or-die capsule. sometimes i think about a lip oil or another lip color, but i already have the best colors for me & a lip oil isn't much different than a lip balm... is it?
One more time for Christina and all those in the back: if you don’t love it, it doesn’t matter what others think about a product/item. If you’re on the fence about it, why not just pass on to someone who will love it?

There are liquid products and sticks that are specifically designed to work on both cheeks and lips
Ditto. I slightly blur and over line just the Cupid's bow and the residue becomes blush

For the charlotte tilbury product you can wipe it with some nail polish remover, the letters will come right off. Hope that helps.

Tarte lights, camera, lashes mascara is the best mascara I have used in ages. No flaking. Goes on easy. Easy to remove. 😊

That was a fun video. I decluttered my makeups the other day, mostly just eye shadow pallets I decluttered bc the colors were similar and formulas were better in other pallets. I get stuck on keeping makeup for Halloween haha. 😊 Everyday use is very little to none.
I've already reduced makeup so much over the years , but now that I've bought into the seasonal color system I've reduced even further. Seeing how different the right colors look is surprising, fun, and keeps me focussed on what works. I no longer bother even trying the rest anymore - they never quite worked and now I know why.

fave mascara is absolutely YSL lash clash (especially in the brown color!), and the merit one is really nice too!
I love (makeup) declutters! Just one tip for future declutters : maybe add the brand and products names on the screen while swatching them? That truly helps if people want to write down what they might want to buy.
my favourite mascara is Caliray. it’s a tubing, as i have oily lids. no raccoon eyes anymore :)

For the packaging that rubs off, try putting some clear coat nail polish over it or wrapping it in washing tape. It should protect your fingers from the transfer.

I’m really more obsessed with colorful make-up, and so in love with glitter. I do not have much of face products but more of the eyeshadows and lip products. Some of them I don’t really like but try to use them up just to not throw away. I try not to buy new make up a lot, but I like experimenting with different colors and shades and I really wear them after. My biggest temptation sometimes is drugstore cosmetics because it is cheap and I can buy more 😅

I don't wear makeup except for special occasions like a wedding. I'm more of a lipgloss and go girl.
My makeup for special occasions includes a skin tint serum I can add to my moisturizer, a cream blush stick, an eye quad, a clear brow gel, a cream bronzer (I don't know if I have even used it), a blurring powder, an eyelash curler, a couple of lipsticks and a couple of lipglosses. Almost everything is trial or travel size. I think that is everything I own. Everything fits into a bag about the size on my hand. I am concerned about items going bad as I use them so seldom, which is why I stick to the smallest options I can buy 🤷
Came to say what a few others have…I miss the Tom Ford eyeshadows too but I’m enjoying Auric as a great alternative.
I really like the Saie starglow as a primer or when i put concealer on my face, i smooth out the concelear with the starglow with my fingers.
I discovered Merit products thanks to you and I love them! Time to declutter for me too!

I have fair skin like you and I ❤the Makeup by Mario Skin Enhancer in light too! It’s the perfect about of warmth for very light skin. Mine looks a mess too 😂 and I have a backup! It’s the only bronzer I have used that I actually like because it’s so natural and adds just enough to enhance the skin just like the name 😉

Yes there is a small version of Giorgio Armani foundation. It’s the perfect size for me because I use Pat McGrath foundation daily. I pump only a tiny bit out and spread with my fingers. So thin and skin lightweight!

Decanter the amount of foundation that you need and store the rest in your fridge-ladts forever (well, not really, but definitely prolongs the life of your make up and fragrances btw)
If it’s expired and hasn’t changed it’s likely completely fine. Expiration dates are required and no company will wait years for things to go bad; if it’s good after two years, it goes to market with a two-year expiration date. 🤷🏻♀️

my favorite mascara is wet n wild, the waterproof pink tube. i see no reason to spend any more on a mascara when this one doesn't flake or run!
*my makeup minimalism:* one of each item, with the exception of 3 lippies (not including lip balms). i have an every-day look that i don't care to change, aside from the intensity of my mascara layers & lip color. it's really a ride-or-die capsule. sometimes i think about a lip oil or another lip color, but i already have the best colors for me & a lip oil isn't much different than a lip balm... is it?
