i was looking for a mans cowl in chunky when i happened upon your tutorial and although im not a beginner i watched the whole of your tutorial. i had to message you to let you know my thoughts and they are WOW you are an amazing teacher, your slow, precise, you go over what you have said and why and you give encouragement throughout. you are absolutley one of the best teachers on here for crochet and for future crocheters and newbies i really hope you do more and more videos like this over a range of crochet items. im so glad i found your channel and look forward to watching more from you. ❤😊
WOW thank you so much for your kind words :) You gave me just the nudge I needed to do more videos :) If you have any suggestions for what you would like to see I would love to know!
you prolly dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me atm then you can stream all of the latest movies on Instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother lately :)
A nice looking cowl. I made what I'd hoped to be a nice royal blue version of it, but my wife claimed it 'cause the cowl turned out big and thick. So I went with another color, and decided made it much smaller. Happiness across the house. Thanks for this design!
For sure go with whatever hook size is recommended or one size up. Remember to add some extra starting chains and you can than work as many rows as you need to end up at the right size. Hope this helps.
Hi Vivi - I haven't made a sweater for 13 years :( I'm sure there are some good tutorials out there thought :) Here is a fantastic channel in fact I learned from her 13 years ago!! She is a pioneer in the industry. ua-cam.com/channels/DHR5IsDMjaksuKItrtVDMw.html
+Devi Ganesh yes for sure. If you are using bulky I would go down to an 8mm unless you want a very open stitch. Chain until you reach 12” then count the number of chains you have and keep track of that number at each row. Hope this helps!

I really wish to know how many cms I should use for 8yr old boy ... too XD
I would like to make a cowl for a7 year old boy. Can this pattern be adapted for a child or would you have a similar pattern. Thanks so much
I would make the starting chain about 6-8 less chains then simply add rows until you have the correct length to around his neck:) Hope this helps!
Hi i just saw this and i love it . It looks so easy what kind of yarn are you using? and what size hook should i use?
Everything you need is in the description :)

VERY NICE.
Would this work in a bulky yarn 5 weight? If so what hook size?
For sure go with whatever hook size is recommended or one size up. Remember to add some extra starting chains and you can than work as many rows as you need to end up at the right size.

Couldn't get hold of a 15mm hook. Can I use a 10 mm one instead??😔
For sure but you will want to do a longer change to start. It may even be a bit stiff but it will work for sure.
If we use bulky yarn and 10mm hook, should we increase the chain #?
+Devi Ganesh yes for sure. If you are using bulky I would go down to an 8mm unless you want a very open stitch. Chain until you reach 12” then count the number of chains you have and keep track of that number at each row. Hope this helps!
