These are aome stupod takes. A QB only cap makes perfect sense, especially from a business standpoint. As it stands now, QBs basically have teams by the throat. Even mediocre ones like Dak Prescott and Trevor Lawrence command whatever salary they want because the position is so heavily required. Pay them a huge sum, no argument there, but concept that it should be limited in some capacity as to not ruin the ability to pay the other 50 guys what they deserve too should seem like some horrible idea. I mean, tell me one person who likes the idea that the CEO of wherever they work makes exponentially more than you ever will. You migjt understand it but if you could change it, limiting his hundreds of millions to just a single hundred million and trickling the rrst down to everyoe else, wouldn't you?

I think the QB should just be taken off the cap and be paid whatever the team wants to pay. Let the best qb's make 150-200 million a year and the rest the team needs to be built under the salary cap rules.

You can’t put a cap on QB because it give more control to owner and i mean even more. What’s next WR,DE,OL and the list will go on and on. Im going to tell you this if they put a cap on QB then how are you going to pay the back QB since their is a cap. Which also mean it’s bad for the OWNERS in some what because if their a cap on QB how are you going to pay your back up QB. So are you telling me a cap for all QB or individual QB?

@@jefflee1809I think just take the QB position off the cap period and pay them whatever the market says. Bad qb play makes football unwatchable. Bad defense makes fantasy football fun even if the game is boring.

@@jakemiller270 yea you can take the cap out for A QB but what about the rest of the QBs Because remember if their a CAP on a single QB then that’s a mess but also if their a CAP on all QBs on a team that’s still a mess. So you tell me how you gonna set a market for QBs? I guarantee you are not gonna know unless you prove to me wrong.

The salary cap is not for parity it’s for the owners to keep a lot of money. NFL revenue is 20 Billion the combined salary cap for 32 teams is 8.1 Billion. On top of that the owners get revenue from their local markets. I have no problem with the owners making as much money as they can but they manipulate the fan base to turn on players who want more money. The owners can definitely go back to no salary cap.

The salary cap really didn't help parity in the nfl. Over the last 20 plus years new england won 6 superbowls, chiefs won 2 working on 3, the teams that used to win without the cap have won ie Pittsburgh won 2 since the cap came in, Giants won 2, niners made 3. Let's be serious, the cap didn't change the nfl much at all.
