Along side are all the Muslims who moved in between the time Jordan was establish and 1947 to try and oppose this oppointment.
A vote happens in the lands of the palastinian mandate and Israel wins. It goes to the league of nations, Israel wins again. Arabs get made and tell all. Muslims to leave or Arab army will kill them and call it the nakbah. Have a war with Israel claiming in a few hours war will be over Israel gone and you all go home.
They lose and now Israel has the land given and land taken in an attack which undern international law they can keep if it's for safety and as we saw a few years later they needed it for safety.
So occupation? I missed that part of history was that the Islamic empire? Or was that the legal appointment of the state by its owners and the league of nations? Or was it the land captured in wars they did not start that they legally can claim as theirs?

Jordan used to be called Palestine before 1921 before they renamed it Transjordan at first and then Jordan after 1946 . This is the real country of the Palestinian and it is where the people of Gaza and West Bank should return to and they should probably rename it it’s original name again Palestine .
