Paint the cabinet black!
Hi Liz!
I agree paint the cabinet would do look nice. Also a garland to hide the TV plastic legs. I think center the TV and put the two scrolled arches on each side the one makes the wall look unbalanced! But again you do you and all of us do know you will figure out and it will be gorgeous! Have a great weekend!!
Agree! Get out the chalk paint. That room needs a dark counterpoint and that cabinet is it.
I agree painting the cabinet black because your eyes want to just focus on the t.v. and the black will blend in nicely.
Where the little table is behind the sectional switch out the small plant for something that might work in your favor. Possibly use more color
As many others have mentioned, my first thought when you showed the cabinet was to paint it black. The legs of the TV would blend in with the cabinet. It definitely wouldn't be as noticeable. Get out your chalk paint and turn on some music. Just go for it!

For the cabinet, get a large bottle of Waverly antiquing wax from Walmart (it is a rich brown color), and “paint” your cabinet with a regular paint brush. Do a couple of coats. I did this with a white top dining table that I hated, and now it looks FANTASTIC. It’s a very affordable option that you can do yourself.
Oh, I was thinking the same thing. She may have to lightly sand first or use steel wool, then wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Then put the Waverly wax on. It is beautiful and goes on easily.
Followed you since the early Tuscan days, always love all you do. Makes my heart happy you are leaning more back to that style. I too, love Farmhouse, but I am over it, and ready to get back to Earth tones. I'm happy for you that a "make do" budget for decor was never an issue, but I am equally pleased that you are now showing us how you are making do with the things you already have. We all have tightened the budgets lately, and it's great that you have tips and tricks to share. I agree with others, my first thought was if the white tv cabinet doesn't work, give it a makeover. 🤗 Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Hi Liz. I’ll just bet what’s bothering you are all the iron legs on all of your tables. Seems like you might like tables that are more solid and substantial. The sectional is heavy and the room looks a little unbalanced. Just my thoughts. I know you’ll work it out!

The moss you added to the planter way better👍🏻🌱liz hang the TV on the wall it will be much nicer👍🏻 if you paint the TV console it will be much better. Liz you can place your square basket under your table set up and place the blankets there. Well again every thing looks so nice. You can’t expect to have everything done in your first few weeks believe me everything looks great Liz have a nice weekend.
I think it looks very sophisticated, I really love all the textures you brought into the area. I think your just used to having a lot of things on your tables. But, I love it.

Liz how about painting the cabinet black, your iron work is black and the cabinet painted black I think would look good, what do you think? The tv mounted above it will give it a more modern touch and then perhaps if you were thinking of an area rug something with creams,taupe and black might look good. Liz, paint the TV cabinet black it will go with all your black accessories, table legs etc in the loft. I moved into my new house 6 months ago and painted a lot of my furniture to work with my new decor. I used black chalk paint no sanding and great coverage. Everything is looking beautiful 🥰

Yes i agree. Paint the cabinet in a wow colour. Cheapest option. Nothing wrong with the cabinet.
Use your laser cutter to make scrolls for the white cabinet doors and paint them black. Then paint just the top of the cabinet black. I think black accents would pop it from the wall. Love you Liz ❤
Hi Liz, Love your decor and all your ideas. When I get stuck on my creativity I turn to videos like yours and also pinterest, and then ideas come again. We need to be patient with ourselves, because it takes time to found really what we like and how we feel with it. I know you'll find your happy place in your decor ....time will tell.

Hello Liz I love you channel really enjoy all your decor ideas. I think if you painting in dark wood color like the tray or dark walnut is better. Thank you Liz for your tips and ideas .
Suggestion from me, would be area rugs to pull it all together with a touch of muted color. Also, the long table with thin metal legs looks a little cold and sparse. I would either put three large 24" terra cotta or clay pots there and fill them with whispy floral vines. What I remember from my first visit to California, was the beauty of floral bushes and vines. Maybe you could use terra cotta with a thin whitewash to bring a balance to that side and the tv cabinet. Also, that table looks like it has room at the bottom to slide in a finished board, for pots of flowers. Beautiful home.
I admire your efforts to head into a new decorating style! It will be interesting to see where it takes you. I’m wondering if some vintage or antique pieces of furniture and decor would help give you that “pop” of interest and originality. Thanks for providing such entertaining content.

Paint that tv console a blueish gray! Get some pop of color into that room. The blueish gray will mimic the sky and ocean on the west coast.
Liz I would paint the cabinet black. Then I would put the big basket you have in the corner under the table or a bench. Then on that same table if you are putting lamps I would add a arched mirror I front of the arches so the light would reflect.
Hi Liz, hey if you want to try and use that TV console is there any way you can add metal or wire architecture to the door panels ? something similar to your scroll wall hangings that you have on your side table, add them to the front of the doors and then change out the nobs for a darker color. It might get you through till you find the piece of furniture you really love.

It takes time, Rome wasn't built in a day...that's what my Mama always would tell me ❤ Your TV cabinet has great bones, I would paint it with chalk paint and a foam brush, it covers in one coat and is so durable ! I was thinking a medium or dark brown with black "wrought-iron look" knobs and maybe black on the framework on the doors. It would look "gorg", as you say 😊 with your style ❤ !!!
I would love to see more of the blue that is the color of the vase on the tray. Maybe in the pillows and more vases. It might add a freshness and Spring feel to your design. That is a great color for chairs also. Also I wonder if laying a piece of dark wood across the top of the TV cabinet would be enough to make it look better for you. Or you could add a peel and stick of your choice to the cabinet inserts on the front doors and change it as often as you like. It is such a beautiful cabinet, I hate to see you get rid of it. Love the new style! Until you decide what to do with your TV piece, maybe add a little basket/s from the door knob/s with something in it to pull in the "brown" color and texture! This would tone down the white.
♥️♥️♥️ I would try painting the centers of the cabinet doors then adding a black runner fir the top, or painting the top black. Be patient with yourself it will come together. 🌹

Liz the loft is coming along nicely. It takes time to find the right decor, etc. I love that white cabinet but I see what you mean that it blends with the wall. If you could a slightly darker color on the one wall would make it pop but I see the wall extends to the right over the railing. Maybe paint the cabinet a light beige. I agree it needs a pop of color, but the TV cabinet is lovely. Why not paint it that pop of color. I'm thinking a sage green or a blue? Why spend more money when you can diy? Just saying. You'll figure it out. 😮❤

Ms. Liz, I like the loft just as it is. I liked the prior decor to this one, as well. I don't think you can do anything that I don't like. I love your taste in decorating and fashion. One thing that I do agree with you, is to hang the TV and get it up off of the cabinet. The cabinet is a good fit, just the wrong color. In my opinion, a little wrought iron embellishments would look good on the cabinet doors as well as the hardware. I like the Spanish vibe with this look you've created. However, it's your space and you have to make it yours. Whatever you do, I know I'll like it. Love ya! God bless and have a wonderfully productive weekend in the Lord.

Hey Liz! Jill here!!! Girl, I have been following you from the beginning. Used to sit and pine over your pictures on Pinterest. That is the kind of decorating that I miss from you. The roosters, greenery and more ceramic pieces. For me, there is too much white, tan and modern. Maybe I'm just telling my age. But, I always enjoyed your decorating when you used more color. Like that Tuscan picture you removed from the frame. That was SO pretty. It would be beautiful in your home. And, add that pop of color on the wall. You know that I love to watch you decorate. Liz, what if you took bookshelves and made it a library? You could put the couch in the center or a table and chairs. Just a thought. Love your talent for decorating.
It's looking great, never doubted it would. Loving the table with stools behind the couch. Great idea for a room such as you have, especially when your girls have young adults over that may be snacking or drinking something while watching TV. Less chance of a mishap on the sofa. What about painting your cabinet?
The room is lovely. I don’t know how you feel about painted furniture but I’ve chalk painted so many pieces and I’ve never been sorry. Truthfully you can pretty much slap it on and it dries fast and gives a bit of a rustic look. Your channel is my fav channel and I always look forward to your videos. ❤
Hey Liz, I think the room looks great however, I know you want to do away with area rugs but I think if you put a area rug in there it would bring it all together and cozy looking. Maybe some large (faux) Mediterranean plants in rustic pots in the corner of the room. Target has some nice looking faux plants this season. Maybe a solid piece of furniture with nail heads (very Spanish looking)

Do not be so hard on yourself. Everything in the loft will come together. But I do understand how you feel when you are trying to complete a room and one piece of furniture does not look good. It is a pretty cabinet. What I would do is Stain it to make some of the colors you are working with and change the handles to black!

You need to paint the cabinet either all black or black with distressing for a little white to show. Big tall branches are always a beautiful look
I agree hang the tv, maybe remove the two end doors. Beautiful cabinet, but it is blending into the wall. Maybe take a break from the room for a couple big days and see what inspiration may come. You’re doing a great job.

Try putting black wood knobs on your tv stand, that might make the white stand out.

Love your the new style. Try larger pieces (vases). The table with the black iron pieces would look good with a
large lamp on one end ( try the black round base lamp by Theshold at Target) the vase with the moss at the other end and the large black candles in the middle of the table on books. No picture. Please think about removing the
wreath on the window frame beside the TV. It looks out of place. Less is more. Larger pieces will help believe me I had to make the change. It made a world of difference. You are a great decorator. Enjoy your videos. Lynda
