I feel like the dupe is slightly more warm-toned and the reason i got the Natasha pallet was the fact that it was more cool and neutral toned. That said, the difference is so mall that i wish i had waited for this dupe. Either way i hope more cool-toned pallets come back. Warm just doesn't work for me and almost all pallets are warm since at least 3 years.
I agree. I guessed at the start of the video which was the ND side as it was a bit cooler in tone looking. I love my ND Glam palette & it's one of my all time favourites so a close enough dupe can only be a good thing for those who don't want to drop £60 on eyeshadow.
This is one of those color stories that was just crying out for a dupe, definitely the kind of colors I think you should be able to get for less than ND prices. The way you and your husband talk is adorable too btw!

@@josiekoerner5345 Another UA-camr (blanking on the name right now) did a wear test and she didn't put down a primer, the AlterEgo mattes faded slightly after 8 hours, but she admitted that she forgot the eye primer that she usually does for wear tests and when she uses primer AE usually lasts as well as the ND. Honestly, in her wear test I couldn't see the difference.

that is a really pretty usable palette whether you spend a lot or a little. I think the Alter Ego one seems a teensy bit more pink but I prefer it and it's negligible. Could even be that your light isn't exactly in the middle of your face. So pretty. Have you used the Colorpop Stone Cold Fox palette? Not sure what it would be a dupe for but I bet it is and it's so wearable and pretty. Love it.
I have never used a Natasha pallet after watching & re watching this video several times I decided to try the alter ego kiss pallet and I am beyond impressed ( also tried one of their liquid lipsticks). As someone who is use to drugstore , morphine eyeshadows & odd high end single shadow or tarte mini holiday pallet . Before I knew which side was which I guessed the correct side for ND. I selected the ND one because the shimmer was smoother and looked more glasslike. The duper is tad warmer and more glitter like. They are so close and if I didn’t know they were different I probably wouldn’t have known. Although almost identical, I prefer the ND side because I prefer the finish on the shimmer. Great dupe palette for sure!
To me the ND shimmer is slightly brighter. Like maybe you put a tiny bit more shimmer on that side than the other, but it is barely noticeable. I can't wait to try out mine!!!💜

I actually like a less pigmented eyeshadow formula. I'd rather build than have to blend like crazy because I added too much product. Although I'm not sure how I feel when company copies every shade in high end palette. I'm sure the people at ND aren't too happy about it!
I doubt they care, or at least they shouldn't. Alter ego isn't using their formula just the same color story. ND is providing a service/product. AG is doing the same thing but for a more affordable price. If we nit pick on presentation and color stories we wouldn't have many affordable options or different formulas for makeup.

I'd happily save the money and buy the AE palette any day. I prefer having to build matte shades rather than starting too intensity with color and maybe having to take some away. Beautifully done makeup, btw!
Your base looks totally airbrushed and the eyes are beautiful😍 I have the CP Stonecold Fox pallet so I'm gonna pass but I do have three Alter Ego pallets and I love them. I'd love to see you do a look with the Luster pallet.

I always thought of ND Glam as being so cool-toned, and I was surprised that the AE palette doesn't come off that way. Perhaps it is a testament to how much that gray metal packaging of the ND palette can affect what colors we perceive. That said, I did find that the look of the AE side also looked warmer on the eye than did it's counterpart. Regardless, I can't wait to get the palette in my hands so that I can play! I’m loving this idea. I keep going back to ABH Soft Glam and only use tempura, dusty rose and mulberry, plus a tarte tropical from be you naturally palette for a champagne shimmer for my daily work looks. Hitting pans all over. This May meet those needs in a single palette $16, vs 42+38 for 4 shades. Love dupe videos for this reason!
Beautiful - both eyes are beautiful and you are spot on- it depends on how important saving the price in comparison... and how willing we are to apply a wee bit more and take care of some fall out!
It’s insane how identical they look. I’m not sure how I feel about dupe pallets. On the one hand, it’s hard for me to argue that any eyeshadow palette should cost $65. But on the other hand, the Natasha Denona team has clearly spent a lot of time and money developing their formulas and shades. It feels a little bit like Alter Ego is stealing ND’s work. But then again, it gives people who don’t have an extra $65 to throw at eyeshadows a chance to create these beautiful I looks. I am definitely torn.
They do put a lot of work into it, but at the end of the day I feel like the price hike is simply because of the name if you have a dupe that is pretty much exactly the same but can sell it for far less. I think taking advantage of consumers annoys me more than dupes in this case.

So close! I personally think the alter ago pallet glitter is SLIGHTLY more of a bronzey tone where the Natasha pallet is more silver. It's ever so slight! Love you x

I just bought this a few other alter ego palettes I’ve been eying. I love ND eyeshadows, but I can’t afford anything larger than the 5 pan palettes, and only on sale. But I love the way she puts the colors together. So the dupe gives me color story without the price. I’m so excited to get these palettes.
Love that there is affordable dupes of some of these more pricey pallets. I own some of each and honestly they’re pretty good for the price. A little extra build up on some of the shades and you totally couldn’t tell the difference. To be honest some of the shades in the dupe pallet are better than the original. Also, thanks for the code and a lil extra saving$$$ 💛

Back when they were with Hush, Alter Ego had an amazing Pat McGrath Motherhip I dupe. They stopped selling it after their revamp. Now that they’ve just duped Divine Rose, maybe they’ll start duping the Motherships again…

Yes! I was waiting for them to do a dupe of this. I was going to buy the OG and decided to hold off because I am sure I have dupes for a lot of the shades and I frankly didn't feel like paying that price when I had a feeling Alter Ego would do a good dupe.
I can't wait for mine to come in!! I don't know what's taking so long. I ordered it the day it came out. I don't mind that the mattes have to be built up. That's actually a plus for me because it makes it easier for me
I just went and got this along with the Canyon palette🙊 I have been waiting for ages for them to start shipping to Norway and they finally do👏 I got them both with shipping to Norway for almost half the price of one of the ND ones! So good for me as a student on a lower budget, and I also prefer cardboard packaging for palettes as it is easy to recycle♻️
@@tm-93 I just got it in the mailbox today and no customs! They did not include the shipping fee on the front of the package, so as long as the items are under 350 kr I assume it is okay.
I’ve never tried anything from alter ego but I’ve seen a few videos now that really make me want to try them out. It seems like everyone agrees they have a good formula and make great dupes. Thanks for sharing
They look insanely similar!! The only thing that I THINK was different if my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me lol… was the affordable shimmer seemed a little more peach toned and the Natasha shimmer looked a little more gold/yellow toned. Otherwise, holy moly it’s a total dupe! Absolutely beautiful! 🙂💕

I liked the Alter Ego eye better but guessed it right, just because I've watched other review videos on this. I usually guess based on the sparkle of shimmer, but this time I went based on depth of the mattes. I think there is slightly more depth on Natasha's side.

Hi Allie!! I’ve watched your videos for over 2 years now and I love how laid back u are and your consistency and especially love how u always do tutorial style videos so there’s always a technique to follow! That being said, I just wanted to suggest if maybe u could make your reviews a little more well rounded by talking more about the inclusivity of products… for ex, a bit issue with the Natasha denona glam palette is that the shade names don’t have diverse skin tones in mind, so their recommended crease shades aren’t really applicable to all, even if u can technically use the shadows in ways outside of how they’re labeled - or how so many Colourpop launches for eyeshadow palettes that u love (like going coconuts or that’s taupe) are really for a limited range of skin tones. Just hoping you’ll point that out more in your reviews even if they’re products u love and work well for u. Love you! :)

I actually like the Alter Ego better! Gives enough 'shine' without too much - though the ND one is pretty too! Just for me personally, the ND one is too shiny - and I don't care on how much fall out there is because I can just use a makeup wipe, damp kleenex, or even a baby wipe to take it off. So fall out isn't a deal breaker for me. Both are pretty - but I wouldn't use the brown as it'll probably be too dark for me and I can hardly ever get the darker shades right. (Maybe I just need refresher lessons from you Allie) lol

I have the glam palette. And I absolutely love it. It’s effortless and elegant. I do really like Alter Ego too however. As you’ve mentioned they can be a great alternative for travel palettes. I think I just may pick this one up as well because I love the color story so much and wouldn’t want to travel with the glam palette. Plus I’m curious about how close they came to duping it. 😂

Scoopity-boopity is back, y'all!! 🤓 Love it! I ordered this palette yesterday and I'm so excited!! I always thought of ND Glam as being so cool-toned, and I was surprised that the AE palette doesn't come off that way. Perhaps it is a testament to how much that gray metal packaging of the ND palette can affect what colors we perceive. That said, I did find that the look of the AE side also looked warmer on the eye than did it's counterpart. Regardless, I can't wait to get the palette in my hands so that I can play! I’m loving this idea. I keep going back to ABH Soft Glam and only use tempura, dusty rose and mulberry, plus a tarte tropical from be you naturally palette for a champagne shimmer for my daily work looks. Hitting pans all over. This May meet those needs in a single palette $16, vs 42+38 for 4 shades. Love dupe videos for this reason!

Beautiful - both eyes are beautiful and you are spot on- it depends on how important saving the price in comparison... and how willing we are to apply a wee bit more and take care of some fall out!
It’s insane how identical they look. I’m not sure how I feel about dupe pallets. On the one hand, it’s hard for me to argue that any eyeshadow palette should cost $65. But on the other hand, the Natasha Denona team has clearly spent a lot of time and money developing their formulas and shades. It feels a little bit like Alter Ego is stealing ND’s work. But then again, it gives people who don’t have an extra $65 to throw at eyeshadows a chance to create these beautiful I looks. I am definitely torn.
They do put a lot of work into it, but at the end of the day I feel like the price hike is simply because of the name if you have a dupe that is pretty much exactly the same but can sell it for far less.
I think taking advantage of consumers annoys me more than dupes in this case.
Try not to worry too much about corporations. They’ll be fine.

So close! I personally think the alter ago pallet glitter is SLIGHTLY more of a bronzey tone where the Natasha pallet is more silver. It's ever so slight! Love you x
My favorite is Tylan trying to guess what is the dupe!! He knows makeup! It’s cute! From watching, purchasing, and talking about makeup so much my fiancé is the same way now. He knows who all my favorite UA-camrs are, and so much about makeup now!! Lol 😆

I'm so excited!! I bought the Alter Ego the day it was available to purchase, I'm waiting on it to come. I have been wanting the ND Glam palette but can't bring myself to spend that much on one palette.
I just bought this a few other alter ego palettes I’ve been eying. I love ND eyeshadows, but I can’t afford anything larger than the 5 pan palettes, and only on sale. But I love the way she puts the colors together. So the dupe gives me color story without the price. I’m so excited to get these palettes.
Love that there is affordable dupes of some of these more pricey pallets. I own some of each and honestly they’re pretty good for the price. A little extra build up on some of the shades and you totally couldn’t tell the difference. To be honest some of the shades in the dupe pallet are better than the original.

Back when they were with Hush, Alter Ego had an amazing Pat McGrath Motherhip I dupe. They stopped selling it after their revamp. Now that they’ve just duped Divine Rose, maybe they’ll start duping the Motherships again…

Yes! I was waiting for them to do a dupe of this. I was going to buy the OG and decided to hold off because I am sure I have dupes for a lot of the shades and I frankly didn't feel like paying that price when I had a feeling Alter Ego would do a good dupe.
I can't wait for mine to come in!! I don't know what's taking so long. I ordered it the day it came out. I don't mind that the mattes have to be built up. That's actually a plus for me because it makes it easier for me
I've never used either palette but the ND has a pinch more shine in the center than the other but almost 💯% identical.
I just went and got this along with the Canyon palette🙊 I have been waiting for ages for them to start shipping to Norway and they finally do👏 I got them both with shipping to Norway for almost half the price of one of the ND ones! So good for me as a student on a lower budget, and I also prefer cardboard packaging for palettes as it is easy to recycle♻️

I’ve never tried anything from alter ego but I’ve seen a few videos now that really make me want to try them out. It seems like everyone agrees they have a good formula and make great dupes. Thanks for sharing
They look insanely similar!! The only thing that I THINK was different if my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me lol… was the affordable shimmer seemed a little more peach toned and the Natasha shimmer looked a little more gold/yellow toned. Otherwise, holy moly it’s a total dupe! Absolutely beautiful! 🙂💕

I liked the Alter Ego eye better but guessed it right, just because I've watched other review videos on this. I usually guess based on the sparkle of shimmer, but this time I went based on depth of the mattes. I think there is slightly more depth on Natasha's side.

Hi Allie!! I’ve watched your videos for over 2 years now and I love how laid back u are and your consistency and especially love how u always do tutorial style videos so there’s always a technique to follow! That being said, I just wanted to suggest if maybe u could make your reviews a little more well rounded by talking more about the inclusivity of products… for ex, a bit issue with the Natasha denona glam palette is that the shade names don’t have diverse skin tones in mind, so their recommended crease shades aren’t really applicable to all, even if u can technically use the shadows in ways outside of how they’re labeled - or how so many Colourpop launches for eyeshadow palettes that u love (like going coconuts or that’s taupe) are really for a limited range of skin tones. Just hoping you’ll point that out more in your reviews even if they’re products u love and work well for u. Love you! :)

WOW! Being a Sat my dh was here, so I called him over and he chose your right eye as the ND palette (as did your dh) they both got it wrong! If I hadn't watched your video I am sure I would not have been able to tell them apart. This was EXCELLENT. Love this video!

I actually like the Alter Ego better! Gives enough 'shine' without too much - though the ND one is pretty too! Just for me personally, the ND one is too shiny - and I don't care on how much fall out there is because I can just use a makeup wipe, damp kleenex, or even a baby wipe to take it off. So fall out isn't a deal breaker for me. Both are pretty - but I wouldn't use the brown as it'll probably be too dark for me and I can hardly ever get the darker shades right. (Maybe I just need refresher lessons from you Allie) lol

I have the glam palette. And I absolutely love it. It’s effortless and elegant. I do really like Alter Ego too however. As you’ve mentioned they can be a great alternative for travel palettes. I think I just may pick this one up as well because I love the color story so much and wouldn’t want to travel with the glam palette. Plus I’m curious about how close they came to duping it. 😂
