Today I'll be reviewing the new Alter Ego Shadow Kiss Palette, which is a Natasha Denona Glam Palette dupe! I'll be doing a side-by-side application and wear test to see if the Alter Ego eyeshadow lasts as long as the ND.

I am glad the Alter Ego ones aren't quite as pigmented as the ND. I am not the best at putting on my eyeshadows, and it is easier for me to build them up, than to blend out a more pigmented eyeshadow well enough. Thank you for doing this so fast!!! It looks amazing!!! Can't wait for mine to arrive!!!💜💜💜

I ordered the Alter Ego kiss pretty much as soon as I knew it was a dupe for the ND's Glam. I've been waiting for a long time for them to dupe one of my favorite palettes from ND and I collect the alter ego palettes as THEY ARE THAT GOOD and I truly find that the Alter ego formula when they dupe, things are pretty comparable to the formula that they are duping! I LOVE ALTER EGO!

I have almost every pallete from Alter Ego. I love them too. They launched the dupe for ND Love after I just ordered the real one because I loved the colors so much. Now I know to have some patience, lol.
Do you have Bloom? It’s gotten bad reviews.
@@daisycate I have every AE pallet that’s been launched. I do enjoy both Bloom and Canyon. I bought both of them together. I do use the AE primer which helps shadows stick to my hooded and oily eyelids longer.
Just ordered the AE palette too. I wear glasses, so no one is looking that close anyway. 👩🏫
I love the palette. The neutrals are my jam. I just ordered. The Alter Ego. 16 is more my speed than ND
I wasn’t going to buy this, but as an over 50 I prefer shimmers that are more subtle, not super glittery/metallic. Might be a nice addition, although I don’t REALLY need more eyeshadow…

Being older own one pallet urban decay mini naked 2 love the quality alter ego perfect touch of shimmer.
I would be SUPER excited if they duped the ND Palette with the duochromes. Purples and greens are my 💚💜. I already have enough neutrals. Still think this is a great release for them because so many people need neutrals for everyday looks.

Well snap! I guessed the wrong sides and I have the Glam. 😐. I’m so happy for those that wanted this palette but selfishly bummed since I have the Glam. ☺️. I have been waiting to try this brand but their palettes have all been too warm for me. I had never purchased from Natasha Denona till the Glam. She was the first to make this kind of palette and I bought it immediately.
Just found this and WOW! I will never spend $87 on a shadow palette and Altar Ego is just totally amazing! I have 4 of their palettes now and never disappointed!Since I am so new to UA-cam It’s such a treat looking at all your videos!💙💐

What a great dupe!! I actually think the Alter Ego side looked better because the blend was more seamless. I think for neutrals, shadows that build up rather than have all the pigment out of the gate are the way to go for easy, soft looks. 😄

This is really beautiful. I agree, depending on your lifestyle and preferences, there is a time and a place for more metallic or glittery eyeshadows. And personally I prefer shimmers that blend easily and have enough pigment to hold together rather than having to be packed onto a stickier base than a regular primer anyway.
Glad I didn't buy Stone Cold Fox or That's Taupe. I was waiting for this and glad Alter Ego didn't disappoint. I think I will be buying this one. Thanks Jen!

I think Alter Ego did an amazing job in replicating the colors to the ND Glam palette. I love the way you managed to get both eyes to look exactly the same while using the different palettes, just shows how good the Alter Ego palette is.

You will enjoy their formula my favorite is the goddess palette. My hubby just bought me the glam palette for Mother’s Day otherwise I would’ve jumped on this one.
I'm like you - I prefer a buildable matte formula so I can get the intensity I want. I've eyed the Goddess palette also, but I do already have similar shades to those. And I wanted a more cool toned palette option. :)
I have the Glam palette and I love it so I'm over the moon that AE has duped it. Many people couldn't afford the $65 or just refused to pay that much for a palette, well now it's brilliant dupe is available for a pleasing $16.

For me the ND shadow formula works so well as far as application. I have mature eyelids so I do not like those highly metallic shadows that pronounce Creepiness and wrinkles. ND shimmers are wonderful on mature eyelids.
My problem with ND shadows are, that they just don’t stay on my eyelids, even with a primer. Such oh bummer. It is the reason that I may buy the altar ego version to go along side my ND version. Alter ego shadows stay on my eyelids all day.
I cannot wait for Alter Ego to dupe the Sigma Ambiance palette!
Have you signed up for emails from Sigma? They run good sales often, so you can probably pick it up for $30ish.. I did on the last sale. It's a good pallete for sure. My Sigma palletes are my favorite of all.

Aw thank you so much! :) I used my favorite foundation, the Missha Choboyang BB Cream and my favorite bronzer, the Flower Beauty baked bronzer in Sunrise! I love both of these so much!

I bought the stone cold fox palette. The fallout is ridiculous. I used the grey tones and looked like a raccoon by end of day. It also happened with other shades. And they have a no refund policy. I'm probably going to buy this one and give the colourpop one away. It happened with several of their palettes I bought not just that one. None of my other eyeshadows do that.
@@eing20 I have a very hard time blending when it comes to the stone cold Fox palette so I'm going to sell mine on mercari because I already have the that's taupe and as far as other shades that I really like in the Stone Cold spots I've got them in other pallets so it's not like I'm missing anything. I'm kind of disappointed to see so many other people seem to have problems with that palette though also though
I had the fame palette from colourpop tears ago and i feel zero need to get any of the new ones they or nd or abh or alter ego released. I've made a 9 pan palette with 8 shades from that palette and the mr sandman single and its got me soooo covered!
Reviews of SCF looked chalky & powdery. I got the Buxom Gen Nude Rose palette on sale. It's sooo soft & creamy. Love it! This AE palette is tempting!

Thank you, Jen, I've been anxiously waiting for this! I'm so happy to see that the Alter Ego palette has a true dupe for the crease shade you used from ND. The photos of the Shadow Kiss palette all looked much warmer and darker to me than the Glam palette. And I hope you feel as good as you are looking these days--you're absolutely radiant!
I always wonder why brands do that and raise the saturation in their photos to make everything look warm! There are definitely a few warm shades in the Glam/Shadow Kiss palette but the majority are cooler toned. :)
Totally agree with u soft glam is good 😊 dramatic eyeshadow I notice don’t really good on me but neutral eyeshadow look really pretty on me

Gotta love that natural lighting! Also my phone always makes everything look better/smoother/ than my 4K camera that shows everything, haha! I wish I could film with my phone sometimes, but then the quality wouldn't be as good, LOL. 😂💕

I actually like the Alter Ego side better. The shimmer appears to me to be softer than the ND.

They look very similar on the eye. I did pick the right eye for Natasha Denona in the beginning, but that's only because her mattes is where she shines imo. The depth is undupable. But people are going to LOVE this dupe palette and I'm so excited for them 😃.
Me again. Just came back to say I hope you do lots more eyeshadow tutorials! I like the dupe on one side, original on the other, but any tutorials are great! I just find yours so relaxing! A lot of people are trying to be high-energy or funny, and I watch these at night to relax after a long day with a baby. (Also, if you see me comment “comment” on a video, I’ve been starting to just write anything to help channels with monetization, and sometimes I just copy and paste from the comments section with the mouse so I don’t have to get up to type something on the laptop, ha. I’m lazy.)

I've never tried Alter Ego eyeshadows but I'm very intrigued. I'm think I'm going to get this and also order the eyeshadow base to try. I've been looking at the Colourpop pallets Stone Cold Fox and That's Taupe. WIf you were choosing only one brand, which do you prefer more, the Alter Ego formula or the Colourpop formula?

Aw thank you so much! If it was a few years ago, I might say Colourpop because they used to be my favorite affordable eyeshadow brand! But these days I have to go with Alter Ego..the past year or so my Colourpop palettes have been inconsistent, sometimes chalky/powdery and they don't last on me. I'm not sure if they changed their formula or what happened, but the last several palettes I got I wasn't impressed with. :(
