Just found your channel few days ago cause I was looking for some settings for my 83 s90d (woled). Now I am watching every video you put out because you offer so much information about the product! Keep up the good work😎
@plasmatvforgaming9648 Could you consider testing out the s90d woled? There are a lot of people that have it (in Europe only 65 is qd oled). We would love some comparisons, impressions, settings and your honest opinion. There is zero information about the woled s90d online, so you would help a lot of people out there. Thanks✌️
I'm 99% sure they added "Color Booster" to combat the worse color luminance of WOLED models. Game Mode "Standard"-preset (in Game Bar) is already oversaturated and inaccurate by default w/o Color Booster On. The '24 models are just slightly less oversaturated @ stock compared to '23/'22. If you want accurate SDR colors and gamma, "Original"-preset is what you should use.
I just Tried out the Sony 77 A95l and I can already see Immediately that the Samsung S95D is a better TV especially for the Price.. The S95D Natively has better Brightness, Color Saturation, Color Volume, 3D Pop..The A95L just has better sound and picture realism thats it... S95D is much better and a more Capable TV but I wish Samsung get rid of that One Connect box... Im Returning the A95L and will Try the 83" G4 for the immersion experience but I really want Qd-Oled for gaming Tho especially a 83" inch ...
The One Connect box is the main reason for returning the S95D...Im a PC gamer..It blows my mind for Samsung to have these deal breakers on their flagship Tvs..As bad as I want Qd-oled for gaming I might have to go with 83" G4 for more immersion...
The G4 is an amazing TV and the bigger the better but, screen uniformity of bigger WRGB OLEDs seems to be worse in general. I'd get a 77" S90D, it might even have the 2000 nits QDOLED panel, but even if it is just 1500 nits I would prefer that over the brighter G4 ( which has higher full screen). QDOLED is superior
Got the 55 inch s90c because i live in europe and here only the 65inch s90d in qd-oled. I'm glad i made the right choice. The only problem i have is that i cant use my ps5 in game mode. But on my xbox series x i can run in game mode with no problem.
There's no benefit on software BFI vs S90D BFI. Software BFI can't improve clarity beyond maximum refresh rate. Maybe 72fps software BFI could make sense. Which software do you use?
I hooked my S90c up for the first time tonight. The picture on it still feels blurry on it compared to my LGC1 that i just got rid of. Is it it my head or does the S90c i got for 1000$ have these blurry processing issues. It looks like its an issue more so when i view older content. I'm debating getting the LG C4 instead .
Hey bro, I currently have the option of buying a Samsung 55 s95c for $800 and a 55 s90d for $910. You've had both, which one would you recommend and why? I wanted the s95c but I've read a lot of complaints and problems with the nvidia 3000 card and I'm afraid that I won't be able to activate the HDR on the Cactus or the nvidia.
a question, how do i know if i got a terribly gray uniformity or if im close to the good side, because i know is impossible to get 100% uniformity but idk how bad mine is
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 yes i did that with 5% gray and i can see slightly brighter bars going down from the top in a perfect scheme it looks like a jail wall but is slightly and i notice it only on full screen gray so idk which degree of bad i got
That's the service remote, which has a service menu bottom. I don't recommend the product, and that's why I didn't post an affiliate link. The quality is terrible.
That way of accessing the service menu was changed or removed by Samsung but the service remote works by pressing info then service then 0098 over advance
It is s simple as maxing out ANAPEAK 1 and 2, and Increasing HM Pat Peak w PLUS and Peak W. Until the S95D is clipping at 3000 nits in both Static and active tone mapping
Even with Native Color space the colorfullness is restricted as I showed in the video (hard to see on camera). So using Native is not enough (I'm taking about SDR only)
@plasmatvforgaming9648 By chance did you buy your TV's at Costco? This year's lineup of Samsung mini LED has something called auto HDR remastering. It's one of the coolest features I've ever seen on a TV. It takes SDR content and converts it in real time to the HDR color space and also adds specular highlights. The outcome is often better than real HDR. I typically never use features like this but it works really well. It's a mini LED exclusive because it uses the backlight in order to work, however, Costco exclusive S90D / S95D have a different version of auto HDR remastering as well. Its not the same as the mini LED version because of QD-OLED brightness limitations and ABL limitations- still might be something for you to tinker with if you have it on your TVs.
I searched about it, and only Cosco and Sam's Club models have the AutoHDR remastering feature. That's insane, more or less features depending on the store you buy it. What a mess
S95D still have issues with the one connect box?! 😢 why limitations?! Thank god i already sold my s95c….🥲 i loved, but im tired, disappointed in this f.cking one connect box…. I have LG G4 and its bright, no issues ❤
U cud have used optical hdmi 2.1..going with g4 isnt the answer coz modded s95c is better..im waiting for s95e..once it comes out i will replace my s95c with E using my warranty.
10/10 thanks for obliterating any doubts I had about colour accuracy/naturalness/pleasantness!! 😁👌🙌🔥

Maybe even a side by side comparison with the qd s90d
Got me 83 woled in europe today. Will upload some content soon
Same here. Was looking for settings for my 65" s99d qdoled. Now I'm watching every video.

That's definitely a possibility
Thank you Ariel. S90D it’s great. I’ve got one because of you (to replace my faulty C1) now I’m waiting for the HDR settings 😎

The S95D has the best panel. It goes up to 3000 nits and that can't be touched by the competition right now.

Hey plasma just wondering if you've thought of trying software BFI on this display while playing PC?
(S90D)
There's no benefit on software BFI vs S90D BFI. Software BFI can't improve clarity beyond maximum refresh rate. Maybe 72fps software BFI could make sense. Which software do you use?
To my eyes, S90C handles color vibrancy way much better than S90D which a little bit muted.
This S90C is brighter
There are already leaks about 2025 models.. Time to start CES 2025 hype train! 🙂
Interesting

Apart from tint g1 have you changed any colour space settings apart from changing to bt2020 ?
I'm not using G1 on this one. I'm still going back and forth with all the settings.

Low quality content looks bad regardless. The C4 is not even close. Try the processing settings
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 u have a vid for processing settings?
Not yet, but I will
For watching content in SDR what preset would you recommend? Filmmaker mode, Movie mode etc
I would always customize it so the preset is just a place holder, they'll probably look the same with the same settings
I'll share
Hey plasma! Whenever I try getting into the service menu I press 1234 but nothing is happening? I can get into the hospitality menu.
Check the answer in the other comment
In your Samsung s90d settings.. For HDR gaming and HDR 10+ settings.. Do you leave those on basic, advanced, or off?
Basic Static
Awesome video. I have a 77 in S90D coming tomorrow. What's the easiest way for me to determine if it's a 2000 or 1500 nit panel?
ANAPEAK 588 on the service menu or anything else other than 682
@plasmatvforgaming9648 588 indicates 1500 or 2,000?
@@Icipher4 1500
I see, but info then factory still works to access the service menu correct?
Yes

S95C is 2000 nits peak 300 full screen (if you max it out on the service menu) with a Gen2 2000 panel.
HDR is not a problem, MajorPainTheCactus works
The problem with S95C is Nvidia Image Scaling and DLDSR won't work due to OCB
Potential drops on the S95C due to OCB
Sound is broken on S95C
Ariel, should we use Native on HDR too?
No, for HDR custom BT2020
Maybe the s90c is tracking higher on the eotf curve since it's less accurate
I'm using SDR on this one
That intro will never be able to get topped. lol
😁 What about this one. I don't think I can repeat the remote flipping

Can you make a guide on modding the s95d to 3000nits
If you watch the previous videos where I explained the process for S90C and S95C you can do it for the S95D
