Great review 👏.. here's a question alot of us 💯 owners would like to know , does/will the pro seat fit on the angler 100 or modified to fit easily, maybe ?😊
Thanks for watching, this is an older “review” and quite honestly needs redone and hopefully I’ll get around to it eventually. But honestly I don’t know the answer about the seat… but I can take the seat from the pro and place it on the tamarack and see what happens, I’ll post the answer on this comment thread.
The Pro only has 1 hatch to access the hull? Glad I have the 100, I installed an additional hatch to the front for a total of 3. That T Track looks very Weak and Cheap? Absolutely Love my Tamarack 100.
It only has one hatch, not really an issue for me. The Pro puts you on the water immediately with and upgraded seat & tracking, if you’re doing upgrades anyway… might as well start with the 100 and completely make it yours. I think the tracking is fairly standard, wouldn’t say cheap or heavy duty, just right in the middle.
Can anyone tell me what the hell is the difference between the Tamarack 120 vs the Tamarack 100? Every web site I look at says something totally different. One says the 120 is longer. Another says the 100 is just the new version of the 120...new how? What's different? Another says the 100 only has one storage hatch and the 120 has 2, then they turn right around in the same article and say they both have 2 hatches. Another says the 120 is water tight and the 100 isn't. On and on and on. How is anyone supposed to know what's the difference when everyone is all over the place and one contradicting the next (sometimes even contradicting one's self) and nobody even remotely agrees? Any help would be appreciated.
Typically a 100 would be a 10 ft kayak, and a 120 would be a 12 ft, etc. idk how they changed all the hatches and features in the last couple years. Hopefully that answers half of your question 😂 🤦♂️ 🤷♂️
@CountyLineAdventures Thank you! I'll take your word for it. Some sites would say exactly that but then they'd show the specs for each kayak and they'd both say 10 feet. It's pretty frustrating. This is exactly why technology aggravates me. It's not easier ordering online if toy have no idea what you're getting. I'd rather buy it from a store that has one right there that I can see in real life but nobody seems to carry them on shelf. Thanks again! (Anyone else with further info, please feel free to add)
Put a trolling motor on it and a stadium seat. Don't worry about a pedal drive. If your serious about putting a trolling motor on the 100 let me know. Well worth it.
@@CountyLineAdventures I actually remember seeing the video too. I decided I'm going with a perception pescador as my first kayak, seems to be more dense than the lifetime kayaks I've been looking at. Driving from TX to NY in several days to go work at my old job again, since kayaking is less sketchy up there that's where I'm gonna kayak at
@@CountyLineAdventures thanks man, I've put a couple months worth of planning into this trip so as long as nothing major happens I should have a really good time. Kayaking is such a cheap activity if I stay busy with that all summer I'll actually be able to save money, and smoke less. Currently in that stage in life where I have a decent vehicle so I'm taking advantage of that and using it to help me make money for a better one 😎 wanting to get my hands on a 4wd 1st gen Toyota tundra next
Definitely testify to that! It’s nice that it comes that way but a stadium style seat upgrade is a nice touch to any kayak. It makes a world of difference. I’ve only used the tracks for the rod holder but think a camera arm and other accessories will be awesome in the future.
Maybe spring time when they start stocking trout we’ll get you on it to try it out! I love the original bc it’s fully functional and my first kayak but the pro definitely is an awesome yak as well.
Killer job man! I have the Teton angler pro as well as the Tamarack pro. I will be doing a comparison on those two as well. Definitely would like your feedback and input on my review.
@@CountyLineAdventures most definitely! Looking forward to doin some road trips soon. I’m in the DFW north Texas area so it’s not far from som egrets spots up your way 🤙🤙
Anything is possible so I guess the answer is yes but I haven’t seen it done yet... I’d imagine it would be difficult because of the preset molded ones... I wouldn’t mess with it but where there’s a will there’s a way I suppose. 😂
Depends on the price difference. You can upgrade a kayak cheap if you shop for good deals. Plus if I upgrade it myself it will be exactly how I want it.
I put a link here & in the description above, for the Walmart link. Unfortunately they are currently out of stock online and only last a couple days when they do come back in... tough time to buy a kayak. www.walmart.com/ip/Lifetime-Tamarack-Pro-10-ft-3-in-Sit-On-Top-Kayak-Paddle-Included-91033/808534386
It just popped up in stock online! You’ll have to pay $69.99 shipping, it’s The grey & orange one. www.walmart.com/ip/Lifetime-Tamarack-Pro-10-ft-3-in-Kayak-Paddle-Included-91058/131436435
The scupper holes? No I have not yet BUT after using it several times I’d highly recommend plugging at least the ones under the seat, because your butt is going to get soaked if you don’t.
I have been wanting to get a kayak for years but never knew what to get. for almost a year i had decided on the tamarak. then i found this video, did some price comparing and, i is technically cheaper to get the pro because of all the upgrades. your video, even if it may be a little below my standards of quality, does these great justice. Thanks for the help!
You’re welcome? Lol. Thanks. We use what we’ve got (old iPhone) with no apologies. Lol. The Tamarack Pro is definitely a good yak to choose, it’s my go to at this time. Thanks for watching.
THANKS
Thank you!
Have you ever taken the tamarack out for crabbing?
No, not yet but I’d love to.
Great breakdown! 👍
Thank you!!!
Let’s get a update also throw in the white snake trolling motor it’s cheap
Thanks for watching! Hopefully in the spring... we'll see.

Can you tell much difference in the weight capacity?
Muy buenos kayak
We think it’s pretty good as well! Thanks for watching.
Did they warranty the crack?
Situation was resolved. ✅ Their customer service is pretty awesome.
Love my tamarack 100! I’ve put many many hours on it this year
That’s awesome! I feel the same way, it’s a great way to get on the water.
I just bought one a couple weeks ago for 375.oo at Walmart. Had it out couple times now and love it

Ocean State Job Lot has them for $329 Bare bones Tamarack.
Distribution has gone crazy the last few years, lots of different retailers offer them!
Tamerack pro 103 is the winner better design than the other tamaracks having one storage is better than two. I love my tamerack pro 103.
Definitely enjoy mine as well!

Thanks! Still haven't gotten around to that... lol
They made a pedal drive kayak 🤘
Yes they did! And I’d love to have one. 😂 They actually commented on one of my videos last year & said to watch for one... and now it’s here. Lol.

That seat on the pro looks comfy. I plan on putting some tracks on my latest kayak.

No comparison
Good comparison. They look like good setups 👍
Thank you! Like a lot of things, Tamarack is a great model & the Pro is a tad better upgrade.
Tamarack Angler + Trolling motor = easy peasy fishing.
Sounds awesome! Haven’t done that yet!
Can you put an adjustable footrest on the lifetime angler? Would like to buy the pro version but I cant find it anywhere.

$750 on Amazon 😟
The pro leaks water into the hull through the paddle holders, if Lifetime fixed this it could be a great kayak.
Thanks for watching! Yeah it could be sealed better, needs a few upgrades! Thanks for the info!

Walmart sells the pro for 50 dollars more but they arent available. Everywhere else it is a 200 dollar difference

where did you get the pro version cant find it at walmart

Does the storage cup that comes with the Pro fit in the Tamarack storage?
