I had no idea that the Everyday Witch Oracle existed! Some of my clients really enjoy the creative readings that come from the Everyday Witch tarot - there's a lot of positive energy in this deck (and they haven't been put off at all by the cartoon imagery.) I'm definitely going to buy & try the EW Oracle in tandem with the EW Tarot. I think this combination could give my querants the 'rounded', fulfilling reading they're looking for. It's always fun to see different oracle decks. I love oracle decks but oddly really don't work with them very much. That is one of my goals in 2021. One of my oldest and most beloved oracle decks is the Wisdom of Avalon Oracle Cards and a newer one I have called Wisdom of the Hidden Realms, both by Colette Baron-Reid.
Oooh! They're all so beautiful! I've been thinking about picking up the Everyday Witch oracle; I have the Everyday Witch tarot, and I really love it. My favorite oracle decks (if I HAD to choose - it's so hard to choose) are the Vintage Wisdom Oracle and the Nature's Whispers Oracle.
My reading style is the same with tarot and Oracle. That being said, I start with intuition and known meanings and see what I get. If the message is still muddled, I go to the book.
With rare exceptions, I prefer oracles with key words, and depending on the deck, I might want a phrase or two. For example, a city girl like me doesn’t know enough about animals to figure out what the creator intended for what “muskrat” is meant to describe without reading the guidebook every time. I don’t want to dedicate the time to learn by heart the meaning for 50 cards if it’s not evident from the image, and for every oracle deck I acquire. Who has time for that unless they work with one deck only forever?
