6:50 made me tear up a little as stupid as it sounds, but it reminded me of the first dog I had. My dad found her while he was on a hunting trip, she probably escaped her previous owner. We believed that because she would flinch every time anyone tried petting her. It never truly left her, she never fully got used to it and always flinched.
I'm getting Raphtalia x Shield Hero vibes from this. I know she definitely wasn't the first "mistreated young girl saved by a good man" example, but it's the most memorable example I know. The vibe is basically a young girl being taken in by a man and being ordered around for her own good because they were traumatized by their previous owners/caretakers.
