    Great video. And review! Too bad Bosch ecu can't be unlocked and won't hit the full potential. What an oversight by SeaDoo

    Awesome video! Great to see you posting again. I heard the 300 intakes are restrictive. I was considering going with the rear intake set up with a catch can. Do you recommend it ? Will it add any more performance, or is it just for sound and does it actually generate hot air from the engine compartment? Thanks for your input and time

    • @GreenHulkGarage
      @GreenHulkGarage  10 місяців тому

      A lot of people have good success with a rear intake setup but I do not recommend them. The rear intake pulls air from the hottest part of the engine bay. I recommend the RIVA intake as it pulls air in front of the engine before it is heated by the engine and exhaust. A catch can is necessary on any supercharged Sea-Doo! That is the first modification that I make to mine. You can buy both of them from our store at 4-tecperformance.com

      Good evening, thanks for your response it’s much appreciated. I’m leaning towards going with the riva catch can and the kanaflex do it yourself kit that mounts up near the fuel tank. Not to sound idiotic but just curious where does it get air from being tucked up front? Thanks

    Did you say 8250 RPM? That's not listed in the forum post, so I'm not sure if it's a mistake. That would be a big change since the stock rev limit has been 8000 RPM for the past 20 years.
    Also, no surprise to me that the hydraulic steering of the Apex is now standard. I knew that the Apex was just a money grab to have the feature one year before it became standard with no upcharge.

    This might be a dumb idea and I might be wrong, but hasn’t Can-Am been using Bosch for its ECUs for a while now? Maybe talking to some of the teams that set up Maverick X3’s for courses like King of the Hammers would yield results on cracking that ECU

    Other than the supercharger changes, didn't they basically do a Stage 2 from the factory now? Of course it still has the limiter.

    • @GreenHulkGarage
      @GreenHulkGarage  11 місяців тому +1

      There is a lot going on here that you won’t find in any stage kit. If you haven’t read the article linked in the description, I would suggest doing so. There’s a lot of info there detailing every change made.

    • @petrosh20
      @petrosh20 11 місяців тому +1

      I understand that! Let's be real. When you modify it up to a stage 2 nothing else matters. Seadoo did everyone a favor from the factory with the rocker arms and new supercharger.

    yamaha is being very quiet on the new GP SVHO can't wait to see what they come out with. kawasaki is riding on their hull design at this point. Kawi needs to get more innovative before they loose what share in the pwc market they have

    Now we just need RSA-2048 cracked, supposedly it is possible with current quantum computers, I have seen predictions that it will be achieved by the end of 2025. Once that's done I would bet that OTS tunes will make this a 87-90 mph machine with nothing but an impeller upgrade and maybe fueling. The old 300 started having issues at 8,750 with the rockers from my understanding, between the valve train upgrades and lubrication upgrades to the rotatin assembly I wouldnt be surprised if this can spin 9k safely, and with the stock planetary compressor I bet we could see on the order of 500 hp at that RPM assuming fueling can keep up. Any thoughts on if the bottom end can hold that kind of power?

    • @TheVonMatrices
      @TheVonMatrices 11 місяців тому +1

      If quantum computers start to crack 2048-bit keys, then society will have much bigger problems to worry about since that invalidates end-to-end encryption used everywhere from secure messaging to online banking.
      There are more likely ways that the ECU will be cracked, and it will be similar to how modern video game consoles are hacked. In many cases, someone will discover some bug in the firmware that can be exploited to load arbitrary code on the system. The other possibility is that a rogue employee can leaks the master key. But either method can be fixed by a manufacturer through a firmware patch. So you might not want to ever take your ski to a dealer since they may inadvertently update the firmware without your consent and patch the vulnerabilities that allow aftermarket tuning. This is similar to how game console hackers never connect their consoles to the internet so that they never update the firmware.

      The old rockers would typically break above 9000 RPM. 8750 RPM is very safe for the old rockers; I even run well over 9000 RPM on my Sea-Doos and have only broken a rocker once.
      I doubt the stock supercharger will be able to produce 500 HP. The stock bottom end will be able to withstand that power level, but it’ll take lots of modifications to get it there.
      The FuelTech plug-and-play ECU is already available for the new 325. It’s not cheap, but it’s an option to tune.

      @@aceofspades6667 potentially yes, but its all assumptions at this stage until the ecu is unlocked. A GP with the comparitive upgrades/mods. Improved : Pistons , intake retainers, valves , impeller , blowoff valve ... all things being equal in terms of the new 2024 modifications to 325 ACE... the GP is already at 88+ mph. All from an 14 year old engine ... just saying..
      Let's see what the new 23' 1.9 Liter yamaha does when supercharged in 2025. I doubt Yamaha will show up unprepared.
