- Once we heard Caprisongs...we knew we just HAD to start a an FKA twigs journey and (hopefully) become stans!! Here's us checking out twigs' highly acclaimed album Magdalene that HAS been requested so many times on this channel!! Does it live up to the hype? Is our reaction what you expected?! It’s already grown on me so much the past week 😇
It actually took me so long to get into it fully! I always loved cellophane but it took me weeks to reach the point I’m at now where I LOVE every single song
I remember hearing this album for the first time and it blew my mind I fell in love instantly and once I really understood the meaning and the comparison to her and Pattinsons relationship and relationship of Magdalene and Jesus. From what I heard she was ridiculed and treated terribly by Pattinsons fan base because they looked at him like a god and they never saw her as good enough for him because of their own envy. Apparently they were also very racist to her as well. I think it’s interesting when you compare the huge out-poor of people fantasizing about him and Zoe kravits because of Batman as she is a mixed woman as well. It’s very contradicting behavior to only root for the woman of color when she is not actually in “your way” of being with a celebrity you have zero chance of being with anyway. Lol
Wow how didn’t we make the relationship connection between Jesus and Mary v FKA twigs and Robert! Can’t believe people would treat her that way, I’d like to think they have learnt by now but 😑
this album was way too experimental for me at first but it grew on me so fast. you NEEF to watch the music videos especially for cellophane and sad day. it's a literal piece of art

yeah, it must be such a shock to you girls going from caprisongs into this, but it definitely grows so much once your mind gets used to it! it's a beautifully powerful album, fka outdone herself so much in here. so glad you're back, hope everything's ok
Twigs fell extremely ill with cancer I believe. Daybed and even home with you (tumors the sizes of Apples and Cherries) chronicle part of her recovery. Daybed is my favourite on the album, the empty airiness of it with her soft vocals really capture the endless feeling of recovering from an illness- a person with chronic pain
I don't think they were cancerous thank god. Still, it really took a toll on her body and mind
Sooo happy the queens are back! This album is a journey, but wait until you get to Melissa or LP1 I'm sure you gonna love them, they are thr middle child of both Magda and Capri All the love, queens!!💙🌻

Love this album sm, Fallen Alien and Home with You are my favess, also, fun thing, but if you've ever watched the Judas MV by gaga, she herself is actually acting as Mary Magdelene in it(that was unrelated to Twigs but yea:)

It is definitely my favourites twigs album, and I'd also call it a masterpiece. And I agree with Lydia! I love how each track is so different and unique, yet they all still feel very connected to one another. My favs are fallen alien, mirrored heart and cellophane. xo

As someone who was in church choir most of my adolescence, a thousand eyes gives off VERY HARD hymn energy and I feel like that is what makes this whole album incredible. I'm not religious but it has a very "higher power" vibe to it. It made me feel connected to a god that I've never believed in if that makes sense?

Hi, hope you both are doing great. Love this album, I´ve been playing it a lot since it came out, I must confess tho that I didn´t like it at first listening but know it´s a fave for sure. Actually Robert p is not the one to blame . Once in a interview he said his fans were talking nasty shit about twigs. He was so angry but he didn’t know how to deal with all the nasty comments cuz he felt fighting back was kind of giving away his power. But I can tell he really loved her cuz when he told the story to the interviewer he introduced her in a very loving and proud way, said she was an amazing artist.
