Nganou fought only two times in three years. Just look on Kumaru, he foght so many times on last few years and he's paid very well now. And other exemple, Kamzat Chimaev, he's on top level hype on this moment, but his pay check is very low, because he's not a champ yet.

I thought that main event was so much more entertaining than if we would have seen Francis KO him in the first. The evolution and ability to adapt mid fight that Francis showed just made him vastly more terrifying imo. Especially given the fact that he did it with a blown out knee.

@@saint3085 100%. And I'm a kiwi. His coach said he can fight at HW. Just because he lost to Jan at LHW don't let that fool you. He has fought at HW here in kickboxing and won titles. As Izzy always says...there are levels to this game. That's honestly the fight to make and Jones is the benchmark. I can't see him going down to 205...and Izzy is chasing greatness, which I think he will achieve. Just my thoughts

Imagine a fight against Jones whose has been putting weight on his frame for the past year or two, for sure a tougher matchup than Jan at LHW.

Good job Francis but we need a rematch and i really don't like the fact that they give away rounds for 'ground control' when the fighter is doing nothing. Francis was havier and literally was just laying down over Gane. He had less than 10 ground strikes in 8 minutes of ground control time. I know i sound salty but that was a draw at best.

Dana had envisioned Gane as the next UFC superstar, since Francis didn't make him any money. He was getting ready to fire him. Tough luck, cuz Francis could walk outta UFC with the belt. He's so ashamed to even show up, cuz he placed all his chips on Gane.
Since everyone failed to ask, what did you think of Dana's decision of NOT putting the belt on their heavyweight world champion and then not attending the post fight press conference?

Such a childish move in my opinion. He is your champ and deserves the respect. Dana doesn’t like not getting his way and was obvious they wanted Francis to lose. They don’t understand that Francis has been fighting his whole live to just survive. He will get what’s coming to him. Either at UFC or elsewhere.

Yes it was perfectly clear. It's sad to know it's ok for a grown man to act like that for his own champion of the world. He's a child and that's why fighters will never get what they truly deserve. MMA is an amazing sport, but the UFC has simply taken advantage of fighters through bad contracts and made a billion dollar company off of their backs. Yet, the UFC can still ask for more money out of the viewers for PPV but say hell no to paying the fighter more. Two men fighting in a boxing ring using more padded gloves made 25 times the amount of money than the entire UFC270 fighter made combined!! That's sickening. UFC paid out 1.8 million for the fighters last night, how much you think they made off them. Ain't no one saying to make every fighter a millionair but cmon man they make plenty of profit to implement an increase. Doing absolutely nothing while avoiding the conversation shows exactly what type of organization they are!

People always thought Ngannou was bad at the ground, but men he train this since his debut with Fernand his former coach, who says that Ngannou have a good ground game but he never show it because he doesn't need to he was knocking everyone out !
Ciryl is the first men who forces him to use it !
Against Stipe in the first fight he was so confident onto his knockout power, and that's why he ain't use it. Hopefully after that fight he learnt, and never make this mistake again ! If he can strike he strike if he can't wrestling simply as fack props to both men tho ;)
um I did. definitely didnt predict this path but against a guy who is new to mma from a stand up fighting style (ciryl is a pure kickboxing type) and he wrestled against Stipe (many people dont understand this because they dont consider his sprawling to be a sign of constant wrestling practice but it is) so i knew he has now been wrestling a lot for at least two and a half years now. also its the same shit we seen with Jan vs Izzy. its a very basic gameplan that has worked time and time again with guys that are great at striking but not great at wrestling
Francis has found a peace that is hard to describe.
I kind of figured that out when he looked smaller than he usually was during the build up of the fight so he could have more stamina but I thought he would just go and wrestle him from the start which wasn't the case

The intensity when the 271 promo was on was wild!! Crazy night of fights though, so much happened that not many people expected!! They said it was "top heavy" but so many fighters delivered!!! Great all around card!

@@vasiliantonov7484 I thought it was once but either way apart from that he was landing at will on Figgys face if I recall correctly. I remember the knockdown at the end of the round but thinking 'nah Brandon still did more than enough to take that round'
