I love what he does with the beast. It’s a beautiful mix between beast and human. Which is a huge thing for this part. I understand how he feels when acting.
his voice might have not been the absolute ideal for the beast but I feel like a lot of actors take this song and just try to make it sound "nice" but he actually ACTS the song which is what a piece like this needs far more then voice type.
This is actually not much of a pop sound, it’s a very stereotypical broadway sound. He uses a lot of low larynx and certain vowel shapes that make all the difference.
@@JehRehMyUh You're right I think we're all a little used to Terrence Mann and this is a difficult song. But still. Darick Pead is clearly extremely talented but his voice is a little too bright for this role imo. You need a baritone or at least someone with a richer tone.

i actually quite enjoy that his voice is very polished. it helps me keep the beast humanized to me, and to remind me he is, after all, a prince.

There are so many “obvious tenor in a baritone role is obvious” moments and choices in this song 😂😂
Darick Pead is my favorite Beast ever. It's a shame he finished his rounds with the show, I absolutely adored him every time.
I know him and Hilary are the best beast and belle
Rachel t
he's an awesome human period, I've teched multiple shows with him
4:11 they should've sped the tempo up (double time) for Darrick to hold that note, just like in David Gallo productions

If I could do this song onstage like I've done for some people privately, I would love to see reactions
Andrew Mikolajczyk upload it to your channel then...I'll watch it.
Darick plead is my Uncle
Does anyone know what the national earnings for beauty and the beast tours?
Actually, quite a lot after Be Our Guest but, it's OK
Unfortunately the orchestra along with his Pop voice and his "with eeeee" was sadly nothing like the beast
+eddie ferran That's why they need an actual Baritone instead of a lyric tenor.
+Joseph Falabella
Or a tenor that sounds like baritone.

Youre just used to the Terrence Mann “with meh”, mann was classically trained. Pead actually has a broadway sound.
