With its confident, flat handlebar positioning and lightweight ALUXX aluminum frame, Roam Disc blends all the best qualities of a mountain bike and a road bike. Its front suspension adds comfort and control. It has powerful disc brakes and durable components, so it can take some bumps on rough city roads. And the fast rolling 700c wheels can handle smooth roads or dirt, making it a great choice for town-to-trail adventures.
Bought a Roam 2 on the other end of the state a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love it.
That’s great!! Enjoy your bike!!
Great review! I'm in north Texas and thinking of picking one up today. Thank you!
Scott Thompson Have fun with your new ride! If you have future needs feel free to reach out ! 5023840770
Do you like it so far?
What’s the difference between the Roam 3 and 2? Thanks!
I love my Roam 2 2020!
Alex P that’s awesome!!!
I just ordered one, yours still good after 3 months ?
@@1sapf1 I've got about 100 miles on it. Still loving it. I swapped out the stem for a short one. Also added a 3 inch Deity riser bar. So comfy now.
@@1sapf1 also put on ergon cork grips, to peak rack and bag.
@@aportilla007 what made you do these changes? Was it uncomfortable or just personal customisation
Ugh, hating the shortage we're currently in. When we finally get out of this, I'm planning to buy a 2021 Giant. Question though. I want the hybrid bike, but the higher durability of a mountain bike in case I encounter some trails with roots, large bumps etc., but how much more difficult is it to ride a bike like a Talon vs the Roam on a regular street road/concrete path? I'm older now, so these urges don't come around as much, but I rode my BMX like a madman in the late 70's/early 80's and still get the urge to try it.
The Talons aren’t very difficult to ride at all! In fact the ride is a little softer due to low pressure .... I think you would be fine
I'm down here in Oz. I've just got myself the blue one of these and it's a great bike. Looking forward to many many kilometers on it.
I wish you were over here buying one from us putting many miles on it =)
@@MiddletownCycling how much km can u do daily whit this bike without breaking something, I have one and I like it very much
fika bir you can go up to 35-50 miles with no discomfort
Middletown Cycling Thanks
Would you recommend this or the Giant Talon 3 for gravel road riding for fitness.
Shawn Moore The Talon is an entry level hard tail mountain bike. The roams are considered hybrids. If you looking to just riding mostly pavement and a little gravel I would recommend the Roam. If you want to do trails and some jumps we recommend the Talon
Is it possible to upgrade the fork to something with more travel, given frame sizing and wheels?
Akhilesh Saravanan Yes you can. But, if you change the fork on a Roam 3 it’s better just to upgrade the bike
@@MiddletownCycling Hmmm understandable. Will the fork on the roam 3 suffice for some mountain trails, nothing with rocks or huge jumps but more like dirt with the occasional branch or bump etc. I plan on using it for paths but want a bit of mountain bike in it you know
Akhilesh Saravanan Totally understand. The bike is a hybrid, so yes it should be able to handle the occasional dirt path or gravel or mulch. But it definitely isn’t a mountain bike so no big jumps. Hope this helps!
@@MiddletownCycling yep for sure, I have a bit more confidence buying this bike now, thank you so much!
Super film 👍 Brawo 🚵 CHICAGO 👍🇵🇱🚵🇵🇱🚴
Giant roam 3 or trek marlin 7?
Roam 3!!
Middletown Cycling haha thanks for this MTC!!! I was just wondering that while watching this video. I have Marlin 7 2018 tho. My LBS is a huge Giant/Liv only dealer. Question... how does the M7 front suspension compare to the Roams? I’m thinking about selling my M7 maybe... not sure. Looking for the skinnier tires that can also haul ass if I push myself like I did on my escape 3. Problem for me with the escape 3 was first winter hit, then the death virus everywhere. The lack of suspension was jarring my shoulders around causing pain from sitting getting kinda chunky lol. Also is blue bike the 4 and black the 3?
Beisenbay Daryn 11A thanks! I just got a 2020 roam 2 and it’s awesome. Looks sexy too lol
Beisenbay Daryn 11A I had M7 2019 and I’m with you. I like the roam 2 a lot more than M7 for the riding I do
Beisenbay Daryn 11A that sucks. This virus is screwing all us. I got the very last one. Seen it hanging and said I WANT IT!! Happened to be the only bike in my size too. Good luck finding one or maybe get a 2021 model if they ever come out :( I wish it came with Shimano brakes though. Tektro is ok tho
Hi I'm 5 ft10 what size would be suitable for me? Also what would you pick from giant roam 3 and specialized sirrus 2.0? Thanks in advance
1sapf1 you would need a medium. Giant always seems to have a better bang for your buck
Why all of descriptions i've read say that roam 3 2020 has a mechanic breaks and you saying is hydrolic ??
Maciej All of the 2020 Roam 3 have hydraulic disc brakes. Here is the link to this product from Giant www.giant-bicycles.com/us/roam-3-disc-2020
You might be looking at the 2019 models which have mechanical brakes
Well Polish Giant treat customers in different way our roam 3 2020 Has just basic equipment
Last video you said the Norman’s buy the roam 2?
You mean the Mormon missionary? From LDS church. The Roam category is very popular amongst them
Giant talon 3 2020 or trek marlin 5 2020?
Renzo Tampoc Treks are good bikes, but they also come with a slightly higher price tag and lesser component group. Also, Giant is the biggest bike manufacturer in the world and some of these high end brands are manufactured in a giant factory. I think for the price and parts, Giant’s a better deal
Hello, I would like some help on the size for me... I'm about to order the Roam 3 but still doubts if M or L.... I'm 5'11" ... long legs, medium torso, long arms.... thanks for your help!!
You are right at the cusp. We would recommend getting the large, only because you mentioned that you have long legs. The medium, will make you feel like you are going over the bar. If you do end up getting the medium, you can always get a slightly longer stem and make your reach farther
Call us at 5023840770 if you have any other questions
@@MiddletownCycling Thank you very much for your help, I went to a bike shop and definitely my size is Large.. on the Medium my knees were too close to the bars.
I liked it so much, so bought even XL. My height is 179 cm (about 5’11”). Medium is too small for me. Even XL is good fit for me, I was surprised. How do you like it so far after 5 month of use?
Is it 3x8 or 2x8? Giant has it listed as 2x8 not sure if that was a typo or if ya just slipped on it.
It's a 2x8, just picked one up today
@@coconuts3789 thank you! How are you liking it?
@@stoneybeard it's pretty nice so far, took it for 3 rides, no issues and it goes decently fast.
Is there any new update on the 2021??
I just bought a 2021 model today. Not sure of the differences but price did go up
What's the difference between a Roam 2 and a Roam 3
The new 2020 Giant Roam's are three different models.
The Roam 4 which is entry level - has 7 speeds with no lock out on the fork
The Roam 3 is the next step up - has 8 speeds and lock out fork and Acera 8 speed Rear derailleur
The Roam 2 is a step above the 3 - has 9 speed with an Alivio 9 speed rear derailleur and a lock out work
The Roam 1 which is the top of line in this model - has 10 speed, air fork with lockout and deore components
If you have any other questions- call us at 502-384-0770!! We always have the best deals!
@@MiddletownCycling Actually the Roam 0 is the top one, my question is why can we not get the Roam 0 in the United States
@@alphil5 Honestly the Roam 0 is over kill for a hybrid. If you wanted something much more advanced go the Tough Road or the Revolt.
height 1m6 - 1m7, size S or M is suitable :)
do you mean 1 meter and 6?
Middletown Cycling yeah, 1m60
@@QKhueP You will need a small!!
Is this considered a mountain bike ?
Brain J it’s more of a hybrid. It can do paved roads easily but then it can do some semi trails, like a little bit of gravel and mud. But it is not recommended for jumps and major rocky trails
his fly is down ahaha :P
Is this bike unisex or male only?
Della it depends ...giant makes a women’s specific bike it’s called the LIV Rove. If you are tall enough, you could surely ride this one , but it’s best to try out the LIV one as the geometry is specific to women’s body geometry
Hi what size is this the black and red ?
Abdul Shahrani that one is a medium. But we can get you any size you want. How tall are you?
Middletown Cycling I’m 6.0 I was thinking to get a L what do think ?
Abdul Shahrani Large is definitely the way to go!!
Also, if you like the 2019 model, we have this on sale for 450
