Similarly, I'm an 80's kid, never owned the original but had memories of it. Like you, I stumbled across the reissue last year at Timex jp and swiftly bought it. Thought it's a rare piece not to be missed.
Aside, I had the Expedition digital and also bought one when I saw the Expedition/Atlantis 100 reissue. Brings back memories.

Very nice watch. I like the size and eighties style ! I wonder if the buttons can be pressed in rain without compromising the waterproof.

Born in 84. The Ironman Triathlon was my first proper watch in 1995 as a gift from dad, fell in love with the Indiglo. It was like a soulmate for me at the time like how phones are for kids now.
I still have the watch with me, the case has been changed though, the LCD is a bit off & the speaker is not working.
