How much was tuk tuk .they always rip me off with like 5gbp for 3 minutes..any suggestions how xan avoud this as defeats my budget totally which is frustrating! Train is best way to travel..
It was a free lift to the station as he was just leaving the guesthouse to start work... yet another reason why we loved staying there! We always recommend doing some research to finding the best taxi app for a country before you get there, and in Sri Lanka that was the PickMe app for reliability and cost.
I have train trip envy. Some of my best travel memories have been of amazing train travel - even the 3rd class really uncomfortable ones still enjoy the same view.
All the Sri Lankan train trips we took were remarkable in their own way. It's a wonderful country for this travel. The journeys are not too long so a little discomfort isn't an issue. The people you come across in 3rd class also seem to be the friendliest and most approachable. It's awesome and just leaves me wanting to return and cover the whole network. 😍
I've been watching a couple of your videos and you guys eat such cheap food! It looks incredible but did you have any run ins with food poisoning or stomach upset? Thanks for the videos they are incredibly informative :)
We are so pleased that you have been enjoying our Sri Lanka series, Surini... there are more videos to come, so keep watching 🤗🙏 We didn't have any stomach issues for the whole 7 weeks we were in Sri Lanka. The food and smoothies were just so fresh and healthy, being very much plant-based, so we felt even better than before 👏💯... and that was even after I'd been diagnosed with breast cancer 🎀 ~ Mandy
Your videos need have more focused themes like food, or lodging, etc. Food tasting videos have more views. It seems your videos are just flitting from one to the next scene too quickly. I would suggest more focus on one of two things you do per video and not try to cover everything thing.

BUT we want to show people how we can travel on a budget, and how wonderful the world is! I don't just want to make a food video or a lodging video of a place... Train travel, actually all travel, is so inexpensive in Sr Lanka, which is why we'll definitely go back, and are recommending it to everyone. Sure, it can be super hot in some places, but as you'll see in our Nuwara Eliya videos coming soon, it's just like a mini Britain, and it gets so cold there! It could be a great option for you & IB 🤗✈️

I honestly hate such tourist though inspite of the fact that they can afford traveling in higher class they travel in lower class to crowd it more leaving no space for poor people who can only afford traveling third class
