Wow, this video really struck a chord with me! The metaphor of the “leaky bucket” is such a powerful reminder about life, and it teaches us so much about balance, self-care, and letting go of things that drain us. 💧 It’s so easy to get caught up in trying to fill our bucket with more and more - whether it’s material things, expectations, or obligations - but we forget that without fixing the leaks, nothing really stays. This message made me reflect on how important it is to focus on maintaining the things that truly matter and make sure we are taking care of ourselves, instead of constantly chasing after more. ❤️🧘‍♀️ I also love the idea of addressing the leaks - like negative habits, toxic relationships, or self-doubt - so that we can keep what’s good and let go of what doesn’t serve us. This is truly a timeless lesson! 🙏🌟 I’m going to be more mindful about how I fill my bucket from now on. Thank you for sharing such an insightful and uplifting message! 🌻

Can you imagine a child of today, unhappy because they were born of a different sex and instead of wisdom they are offered surgery. In an effort to rid their children's life of hardship, parents coddle their children and place them in sterile environments that lead to them dying of peanut allergy's. There is an importance to labor and hardship in youth. What kind of future do a people have who have never known Hardship? Because that's coming and these kids are not prepared because of another "Failed Parenting Program". "What are Chores, Alex".

It's about persevering. How one present small action builds on the last action. Like pulling weeds. Or improving your property when only hand tools are accessible. Or piecing a quilt by hand because you don't have a sewing machine or until you get one...
I can see how showing both sides of the road lush w flowers was NOT a good visual metaphor - at all

    • @wisdomnow1
      @wisdomnow1  5 місяців тому +3

Absolutely, perseverance is key! Sometimes, it's the small, consistent actions that lead to significant progress over time. It's like building a foundation stone by stone. While the visual metaphor might not have resonated with everyone, the underlying message of persistence and gradual growth is still powerful and relatable.

@@sananselmospacescienceodys7308 in that passage that you’re referring to Matthew 21:18,19 Jesus, uses a fig tree to teach the apostles a important lesson. he said he sees the fig tree with lots of leaves, but no fruit. This is like people who say they follow. God‘s teachings (THE LEAVES) but don’t actually do good deeds. (THE FRUIT) just as the tree with no fruit withered away, people who only pretend to follow God without doing his will also face consequences. this teaches us that our actions are important not just our words .

@@wisdomnow1 i copied the story: A water bearer in China had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which he carried across his neck.
One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.
At the end of a long walk from the stream to his house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots of water to his house.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.
After two years of what it had perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream, ‘ I am ashamed of myself, and because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house’.
The bearer said to the pot, ‘Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side?’ That is because i have always known about your flaw, and I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day when we walked back, you‘ve watered them. For two hears I have been able to pick these flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would be not be this beauty to grace the house.
(Unique flaws - we are all cracked pots - to notice the good in them.)
Now you can make a decision on your own.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but inherit Eternal Life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, but men loved darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil.
For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come into the light, for fear that their evil deeds will be exposed.
But he who does the truth comes into the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done through God.”
    John 3:16-21

That didn't make much sense. A few drops of water per day along a dry barren path is enough to create lush vegetation in one week? I'm not arguing the point the story is trying to make... I'm just saying the story doesn't make that point. A better analogy is needed.

@@wisdomnow1 I disagree, even though the gentleman is polite… I shared the story with my teenage children and they totally agreed it was an awesome parable

@@wisdomnow1 this analogy is excellent for those with an open mind, like children in the previous statement. Some adults are too inflexible to let the wisdom in. Great video. Never strive to placate fools.

I think the basic message is that mistakes and imperfections (like the hole in the bucket) and doing things that seems pointless and futile (like carrying a leaking bucket day after day) can also lead to growth in our lives with time.

That’s a good point! The story’s beauty might be a bit lost on those with hay fever. Sometimes, even positive changes can have their challenges. Thanks for the perspective!
