- In this aviation documentary we talk about one of the best seaplanes ever built - Grumman G-21 Goose! This famous seaplane started as luxury seaplane or flying yacht for wall street millionaires, but then found himself in military being one of the best World War 2 Bomber seaplanes. Grumman did many amazing planes, but in this video we focus on the legendary G-21 Goose.

Many of those interior pictures are the larger G-73 Mallard. You've even included a cockpit picture of the HK-1 "Spruce Goose"; very much larger than a Grumman!

Thank you for featuring this wonderful old aircraft. I flew in one as a passenger back on the eighties and have fond memories as to how smooth the flight was. It was from my home in Auckland out to Great Barrier Island. The operators, Sea Bee Air, are no longer in business although the island can still be reached by launch or conventional aircraft. Neither can match the novity of going by Goose and experiencing history first hand.. In case anyone is wondering, I live in New Zealand.
