      Its pretty common trumpet alarm sound, it is used by all, paid and even a volunteer fire departmens, it has couple of versions, but well the trumpets are the same and i have this as a ringtome for a volunteer firefighter alarm 😄

      @@jandavidek7545 Interesting to know that! I have never heard it anywhere else. Although I probably visit fire stations too rarely 😄

    That trumpets sound somewhat like musical train horns in Japan

    So great that the trip was successful, even with this "bonus" in the form of call response :) And it is the most widespread tone to raise an alarm in the Czech Republic under the name "Gong".

      It sure was a nice bonus 😄 That was not expected.
      Thank you!

    Great video! What siren is used on the ladder? I actually like it because it hits the deeper tones as well, unlike the holomy.

      Thank you! Unfortunately I don't know the name of the siren but I think I have seen more often on Polish emergency vehicles. Might be Gamet or Federal Signal.

    Maybe in 5 to 10 years and with some luck and more insightful, (less stubborn and old fashioned) lawmakers and authorities, this setup will be a common sight and sound in the streets of OUR Köln as well.

      To be honest, I doubt that unfortunately. I have already tried sending petitions to the German Bundestag through their own petition website and received answers on a level of a 4-year old. One petition has been evaluated further and months later I got the reply saying literally "We have checked the petition and its request but we cannot change the law because we would have to change an existing law." 🤯
      Convincing lawmakers is one huge challenge. The second is the German Ministry For Transport which is extremely stubborn. They cannot and will not understand any logic. Same with the whole 4 or more grille lights debate or the ridiculous update of the emergency lighting law which they're planning since 2 years. The German firefighter association DFV assisted the ministry and even they came up with a very questionable "solution".
      (Edit: I can explain that in German too if you like to).

    I was wondering why the engine and command unit has all blues but the ladder has red/blue lights, must be older vehicles from a time before red lights were legalized whereas the ladder truck is newer

      @Rummeltobi  2 місяці тому +4

      Exactly. Red-blue was legalized in October 2018 and both the engine and the Ford Ranger are older than that.

      You are right, ofc fire engine Tatra is from 2016 (It serve in Kolin for only a half year as a backup for Scania, which had a tragic fatal accident in 2023. From 2016 until the beginning of this year served at the station in Zruč nad Sázavou, now is replaced by new orange Tatra Terra), command vehicle from 2015. Ladder is from 2021. There are another new vehicle with red-blue, which I believe will be presented here on the channel.

      @@pavel_tuzar Thanks for the interesting but also sad information! I wonder is there any update on the cause of this accident? As far as I saw it happened in the night. I'm just wondering if maybe the emergency lights played any role in that accident (distraction or self blinding).
      I have a video of their newer Scania engine with red & blue lights.
