Has no one noticed that this song resembles to the late Princess Diana. Lines like “how could someone not miss you at all” or “you’ve been lonely” (history lesson: Diana did feel lonely and depressed in her marriage with prince Charles and with her illness). Is it just me that it sounds like 1D is reaching out to Diana as if she were still alive? That may just be through my own perspective, but I think it’s a cool connection.
Definitely. The late princess was unimaginably lonely and depressed and she could not understand why so many people loved her. The whole world was in love with her and she still didn’t believe she was good enough for the love people had for her.
