You had a killer 2023 Alan, hope 2024 can live it up to it! I'm all in on the fujifilm 150-600mm, the combination of size/reach/weight can only be surpassed by a 20k+ prime. Definitely recommend the equivalent on Nikon/Canon/etc.
I’m am considering moving from a Z5 to the ZF for my everyday camera. One of my most used lenses is the 24-120, and I’ve been worried about the ergonomics of it with the ZF. Have you had any issues with that combo?
I love the 85! It’s image is great, especially for the price. I also like that I can get closer to my subject. The Plena is on a whole new level, though. One of the best quality lenses I’ve ever shot with, if not the very best. Definitely a specialty lens, though. Not for everyone.
For me, I no longer have any gear. After over 40 years I am camera less. For me the nikon gear (which was my most used gear) was too big. Canon seems to have gone to sleep. Sony is a brilliant system but just not keen on the design. So, for now, tapping my fingers 😢
Please please make on bird photography with the Nikon Zf+500mm pf & 300mm pf including setup. I own the Z8+400mm f4.5 but I also want a 2nd body+70-200mm f2.8. Thank You
I really miss my Z50. The Z8 is a do all camera but it's hefty. I recommend the DJI mini 3 or 4 Pro. I had the 180-600 and it was great but I sold to for what I bought it for and got the 800PF. Now that was a fun lens. However I missed the flexibility of the 180-600 so I bought it again.
Current gear for birds: D500 and 500pf/70-200 waiting for the Z6iii and the 180-600. for everything else I have a D7100 with lenes that cover 10-200 mm

I love that combo! When I’m out with the family, I almost always have the 24-120 on the ZF. The Smallrig grip helps a bit, too.

I really like the D500! I had a D7000, too, at one point and it was one of the cameras that really got me hooked on photography.
