1st Paddle of 2024 - Exploring Nine Mile Lake with the Green Plaid Canoe

The 1st Paddle of 2024 occurred on April 7th, this year. The ice had been out in Muskoka for a few weeks, but the weather had been nasty whenever I had time to get out, so I waited for a beautiful sunny Spring day. I got so lucky! There was a bluebird sky, barely any wind until the end of my paddle, the temperatures were pleasant, even a bit hot in my dry suit, and I couldn't have picked a better day. I have never paddled on Nine Mile Lake before, and I was excited to do some exploring and spend some time in my brand new green plaid H2O canoe.
This canoe is made of basalt innegra and carbon innegra and has most of the same specs as my previous 14' 6" pro lite solo canoe from H20 Canoe Company. You can find more information about it by clicking the link here: h2ocanoe.com/c...
