@@rogaldorn3643 well the lamenters suffered the wrath of lady luck daily so that other imperials doesn't have to. Their chapter icon is a heart. I say they love the imperium just as much as the salamanders, the only thing different is that the lamanters don't get OP plot armor champions.

This is why the space wolves are one of my all time favorites.
They come a close third to me, I still like the salamanders and my personal favorite the lamenters the best!
The lamenters may get their asses kicked like crazy but they don't take shit. Hell, Arch Warhammer said in his review on them that the Lamenters may have been recruiting in secret after being sent on a penence crusade for SHIT THEY DID NOT DO!

I love the grey knights, but more and more the lore makes them seem nothing more than the ordo malleus’s attack dogs. They’re supposed to be the imperium last stand against chaos , but they kill more ppl than demons it seems, makes them seem less like a space marine chapter and more dogs on leash to the inquisition

@@hblake5213 The older lore did not portrary Grey Knights in that way. In the old lore it portrayed Grey Knights as a small chapter that in small numbers would fight off hordes of demons.

Do not fuck with a legion that is built to kill other Astartes. The Space wolves are the last legion you would want to take on especially up close.
That's why the wolves their own game, truly an awesome chapter.
Space wolves should have killed every inquisitor and demanded the grey knights be disbanded for the attack on their world

Yeah no grey knights are still astartes, and thus still victims to Space Wolf specialization. The fact that they have psychic powers- and might think that they are superior because of this- makes me want to grab popcorn to watch the psychic resistant wolves slaughter them even more.
And the moral of the story is; you don't mess with the Space Furries!

@@daemonnexusknight its grimdark warhammer and a hive world of people. every world is going to get atleast a few million tainted ones, even if only a tiny faction was actually chaos tainted.
I love that the space wolved stood up to the inquisition though
@@GiantRedButton I suppose that makes sense. The biggest issue I have is that they have no way to verify who might be tainted and just killing or wiping everyone seems pretty excessive.

The best scenes in this novel is when Bjorn the FellHanded actually raising his eyebrows and showing exasperated expressions when the delegation bows to him and Bjorn calling Logan a pup.
The next best scene is when Hyperion describes Logan sprinting in Terminator Armor and scaring the shit out of the inquisition.
An anti-climax after their victory over Angron (the gamma irradiated version of Conan the Barbarian turned Daemon Prince of Khorne) | Diplomacy at gunpoint...bad move, Inquisition, you don't know the Vikings in Space.

gotta side with the wolves on this one. they fight and take severe losses to save a populace. said populace is free of taint yet they're to be forced in labor camps and the soldiers who fought and died, killed like dogs by their supposed allies. Grimnar killing a grey knight grandmaster was unfortunate but necessary. No wonder azrael was unwilling to fight alonside the gray knights during pandorax, he was covering his chapters ass. You really need to be a founding chapter to avoid inquisition fuckery... or black templars, those bastards push everyone around. I can only smile when they get fucked over.

Yet they weren't free of taint, they were present during ANGRONs invasion. You weren't walking away from a full scale daemon incursion without any sort of warp taint, the Inquisition was in the right and the Space Wolves' decisions went on to condemn far more worlds and lives because they weren't willing to commit to the terrible but ultimately right decision.

With Dark Angels preferred dismissing the space wolves would be easy until this story was realized, good on Grimnar
Pretending for a moment that 40k will ever advance, Fenris's name and this episode has neat foreshadowing for the SW eventually going against the =I=. If you don't know Norse mythology, Fenrir is the wolf son of Loki. Short version is he wanted to be friends with the gods, but they tried to kill him and then he ends up becoming their enemy who will chomp down on more than a few of them during Ragnorak.
I'm sure when my lord emperor raises from his golden throne the very first thing he is going to do is to mark inquisition as traitors
when even the ecclesiarchy would rather "just let sleeping dogs lay", you should probably think hard about wether you want to wake them from their slumber...

You think you could do a video about Grey Knight Hyperion later? Without a doubt one of the most interesting grey knights around.
Hyperion does end up serving the chapter in their Monastery as a Prognosticar. But before that there's 55 years of blank history, unsure what he did there, though I assume he spent those time training under the previous Prognosticar.

@@meth2733 Magnus broke his Promise to the Emperor and the Imperium. We can argue the ins and outs of why he did this, but from Russ's point of View, Magnus was an Oathbreaker and needed to be brought to account.
Horus knew what buttons to press for his Brother to go from simply apprehending Magnus, to the full blown assault of Prospero.
Whilst I'll concede that the likelyhood of the Wolves taking Magnus without a fight is small, it's still not a taint against the Wolves IMO.
Magnus was seduced by the powers of the Warp well before Russ set foot on Prospero, even making a deal with Tzeentch. Was it really Russ that pushed him, or was that simply an excuse that Magnus could tell himself to justify his actions, rather than face the fact he was a pawn in Tzeentch's great game (cough Rubric Marines Cough).
@@MajesticDemonLord magnus brokered a deal with tzeencth just so he could break the wards around the imperial palace so that magnus could tell the emperor of horuses future betrayal but ik magnus failed in that YET magnus was not fully UNDER tzeencth if the emperor had only talked about the powers of chaos with magnus face to face no doubt he would never fall to chaos it was after the burning of prospero and his spine being broken by his own brother was when magnus turned full heretic

I HATE the Inquisition above all else for dragging a lot of the Grey Knights including other notable leaders as expendable muscle.
Kysnaros in particular. He answers directly to Inquisitorial High Lords. On that note, the High Lords also were behind in the destruction of the Celestial Lions Space Marine Chapter. The High Lords are clearly corrupt.
Ya your chapter master was in a tough spot but he paid the price. And Hyperion knew better.

I'm actually playing through the game (deathwing), it's pretty good as an fps, these guys are also pretty likeable. I still would like to see the gray knights as heroes though, I'm sure they have their moments right? I mean fighting the forces of chaos has to be worth something right...
@@chrise221 Those are not Grey Knight... Those are terminators from the Deathwing of the Dark Angels chapter. And yes, the Deathwing are a completely different thing, much better than the grey knights.

What's funny, is in "If the Emperor Had Text to Speech" series. When Grey Knights present to their Grandmaster of the Curse of the Wulfen to have the Space Wolves investigated for heresy?
The Grandmaster continuously looks at the image of the Wulfen and goes, "Digganobz!" Puts whole new perspective to that sketch after hearing this story.
