I know this is us is really good at building up and breaking down relationships. It took only one episode for me to love Kevin and Sophie together, and then it took two episodes for me to realise they shouldn’t be together after all, mainly because Sophie deserves better. And the same goes for Zoe and Cassidy, so I’m willing to give Madison a chance, maybe there’s something there that hasn’t been explored yet.
Seventy Eight I knew from the moment Kevin and Madison looked at each other during Kate’s wedding that we would end up here. Even when he was with Zoe, I knew she wasn’t the one. I think what Kevin has here that he didn’t have with Sophie or Zoe is that Madison needs him. She in a way is “broken” with her eating disorder and it gives him a chance to be the hero. It’s what’s going to keep him off the bottle and what keeps him from being insecure. She has her demons and he has too. And it’s what’s going to bond them, that and their children of course
I think realistically If they are good at raising kids together that’s all that matters as awful as that sounds ... and they don’t even have to be in a relationship .
The most - and only - facepalm moment of the scene is when Jack named his daughter " Hope!!" When every fiber of my being was screaming "Rebecca!!". This is not Star Wars...

The youngest ones are full teenagers. The middle ones are definitely adults now. But then the youngest were 9 almost 10 in season one and the middle 3 were 15 almost 16; and that was 4 years ago now. So they would be nearly 14 and 20.

I’m actually really excited to see the development of Madison’s character and excited to see where they take Kevin and Madison! I do think they’d be a good fit for each other, it’s all about time because they’ve never actually spent much time together. But if you think about it, they both have very similar, sunny side up personalities, both are very loyal, caring and so on. Especially after Kevin said he’s tired of chasing ghosts, I don’t think Sophie or Cassidy will be back. Especially with Sophie, I think there’s just too much history and If you have to work that hard at a relationship, it’s probably not meant to be.

Here’s my theory. Kate is alive but they want her to have eventually lost the weight after all these years struggling, so cannot show a future Kate without a slimmer Kate - the actress in real life is losing weight (slowly and surely, best way to do it) so eventually when we see her in the future she will be slimmer! Here’s hoping anyway.
Honestly, it looks like Kate is getting bigger. I don't see any improvement in her weight. I'm hoping we see a difference by the time the show is over. It would be sad that this show started with Kate's goal being to lose weight only for it to end her being the same.

Not really. It's more common than you think. The mother's parents being present is definitely more common than the father's though. But remember many adults don't live in the same cities as their parents. Some parents wait until the mom and baby have gotten home before visiting. But also, remember, they could very well be there at the hospital. That was just one small moment.

If I am not mistaken, there was an episode where they flash forwarded to their 40th birthday at the cabin. Kevin said something like “my fiancé has morning sickness” so I do think him and Madison will at least become engaged.
She's more then likely just the woman that Kevin needs in his life he's is always chasing after thoughts women that he can't have we do this in life then that right person comes along in many different circumstances it's not always a great story book romance.

She probably just hasn't arrived yet. Toby said little Jack told him they are on their way. We now know from the "Katoby" episode that Kate is in fact alive at this point, so I am sure we will see her at her mother's bedside soon.

I'm wondering about the timelines here though... Kevin's twins look to be ten or eleven years old in the future with Rebecca. In a previous flashforward, Toby and Randall (I believe) talk about calling Jack and one responds with "Yeah they're on their way." If Madison gives birth in the next nine months, that would make her kids about two years younger than baby Jack, so baby Jack would be twelve or thirteen at the time everyone goes to see Rebecca. He'd also still be a kid... Does this mean that everyone gathering happens while Jack is still young, or does it mean that Kevin has his twins later in life with someone else? If it does happen while Jack is still a kid, then who is he on his way with? It can't be Lucy. And there's still no mention of Kate. If anyone has any ideas or if I'm missing something, feel free to answer!
"They" refers to Jack and his sister. The one where Jack is an adult is 10 years after Kevins kids are 10 so jack was about 12 when Rebecca died and 22 23 when he had hope
two timelines: Rebecca's death is i10-12 years time jump : Madison's twins 10-12 years old, and Jack is 11-13. He comes with Kate/Madison/Kevin's wife probably. Adult Jack is at least a 25 years time jump from the present (the actor is 27).
I think that this season they have been teasing two future timelines One, when they visit Rebecca. Jack should be 14/15 by then. And with the "we are on our way" he might be refering to him, Kate and his sister Theeen we have the futurr when he is having Hope, that must be like 20 or so years from now
I just wanna see any sort of interaction between miguel and nicky at this point. Nicky talked about how Jack had two lives back in season 3 nicky was the brother Jack had growing up and in the war and miguel was the one he had when he found rebecca we've seen how miguel is with rebecca and showing that nicky for some reason is there with her instead just wouldn't sit with miguel just wanna know what's going on dammit 😂
I think people are jumping to conclusions before they've given us the full picture. Yes, we know he has twins with Madison, and he is engaged to someone (probably Madison) on his 40th birthday, we also know that he is married 10 years in the future. However, we do not know that he is indeed married to Madison 10 years in the future. Here's my theory, I think over next season, This is Us will do their thing and make us like Madison, give her a back story and have Kevin fall for her and propose to her. However, I think she will die during child birth, and that he ends up married to Sophie. Now this isn't just wishful thinking on my part, I think they hinted at it throughout the show,. They told us that Madison has a medical history where she thought she'd never get pregnant (at risk), they flashback to the doctor about the hospital bringing such tragedy and joys. Only to bring us to the new doctor (who by the way appears to be a single father too), and since we know both her twins live, I think Madison will die and the new doctor will help Kevin through that loss and become a single father. Just my theory.

Jack, and Miguel in that flash back yet if i remember correctly. in season 3, do you remember when Randall thanked Toby for coming & he said something like “they’re” on the way.. he could’ve been talking about Kate (hopefully) & jack since he wasn’t wearing a wedding ring. so, it’s two different timelines.

In the future Kevin is married to someone else not Madison. I don't see them together although, I love them to be. Maybe he gets back/ marries Sophie whilst Madison is pregnant or he marries Madison but realise his true love is Sophie. No, I ship them from season 2 when Kevin asked Randall to not make him sleep with her because he thought she was crazy lol! Plus, he was always rude to her with no reasons, so I've always thought she could be the one. We will see!
You are not alone, and if people did not forget on S04E12 Jack was telling little Kevin when he lost his sheep that it may seem like the worst thing but he should find something else to love and on that episode the older Kevin was heartbroken. Jack gave little Kevin Mr Tiger saying that Mr Tiger here would love to sleep beside him tonight and we see the older Kevin in bed with Madison beside him. I think the Sophie story is over and Madison was that something else that was being referred to,, I dunno it's just the way I see it

I wonder if Sophie will show up at all, from last we saw shes still thinking of kevin, but if he's pursuing Madison now then its HER turn to feel regret/reject. Since Kevin tried to go back to her but she was engaged. I feel like Sophie's story definitely isn't over since there's more seasons on the way. And it seems kevin and Randall reach a truce. One detail I noticed when they’re younger & Rebecca has to stay overnight in hospital after the car accident, Jack sneaks them to her room later that night in their PJ’s. Randall enters her room first staying at the foot of the bed which he mirrors in 3x18, Kevin goes in 2nd and walks to the left of the bed, mirrored in 4x18 and I think Kate will appear last in flash forward in 5x18 and go to her right.

Here's the great thing bout this ending; Kevin told his mom that Randall and him are not speaking. And in the future, it look like they rekindle their relationship here. But after Season 5 Episode 8 ending, I don't believe so. The creator made us think it's like that. But never was. God I love this show so much.
So I have a guess, Kate Died 🥺 But We'll Find This Out On Rebecca's death bed when she asks for kate, then they will show us the flashback of something tragic & Randall is telling her all the stories we see now before she dies.
Everyone is jumping to conclusions! Yes he fathered Madison's twins. Yea doesn't mean they had to fall in love and be married to coparent. I think Madison ends up with her doctor, Sophie is stepmom to the twins (if you notice she sees Kevin's picture and next scene Kevin looks down at his phone was there a text from her) and I also think uncle Nicky marries Cassidy.
It's not that far in the future from when Madison finds out she's pregnant. When they are all at Randall's, Kevin talks about them turning 40 in 9 months, which is the age they are at the cabin. I seriously doubt he managed to impregnate two women in that short of a period of time and be engaged that quickly to someone other than Madison. Stranger things have happened though, so who knows?
My prediction? Kate does unfortunately pass away, and Kevin and Randall argue about who should then be responsible about Rebecca's care, leading to their awkwardness in the future, because Randall is busy with politics and Kevin has more time on his hands.

Here’s my theory. Kate is alive but they want her to have eventually lost the weight after all these years struggling, so cannot show a future Kate without a slimmer Kate - the actress in real life is losing weight (slowly and surely, best way to do it) so eventually when we see her in the future she will be slimmer! Here’s hoping anyway.
Honestly, it looks like Kate is getting bigger. I don't see any improvement in her weight. I'm hoping we see a difference by the time the show is over. It would be sad that this show started with Kate's goal being to lose weight only for it to end her being the same.

I thought they might have padded her and lets' say she really lost 100 lbs. which really wouldn't be that noticeable but it would be if they decided to pad on 200 lbs. Not really. It's more common than you think. The mother's parents being present is definitely more common than the father's though. But remember many adults don't live in the same cities as their parents. Some parents wait until the mom and baby have gotten home before visiting.
But also, remember, they could very well be there at the hospital. That was just one small moment.

She probably just hasn't arrived yet. Toby said little Jack told him they are on their way. We now know from the "Katoby" episode that Kate is in fact alive at this point, so I am sure we will see her at her mother's bedside soon.
@@selenaforever12 It's possible, but we recently learned that they were alive a few years prior to the birth of Hope, when Jack was getting started singing at bars (before he became a big star). So I guess they just hadn't arrived yet at the hospital, or maybe we will see them meet their granddaughter (who seriously should have been named Rebecca, btw)!

I'm wondering about the timelines here though... Kevin's twins look to be ten or eleven years old in the future with Rebecca. In a previous flashforward, Toby and Randall (I believe) talk about calling Jack and one responds with "Yeah they're on their way." If Madison gives birth in the next nine months, that would make her kids about two years younger than baby Jack, so baby Jack would be twelve or thirteen at the time everyone goes to see Rebecca. He'd also still be a kid... Does this mean that everyone gathering happens while Jack is still young, or does it mean that Kevin has his twins later in life with someone else? If it does happen while Jack is still a kid, then who is he on his way with? It can't be Lucy. And there's still no mention of Kate. If anyone has any ideas or if I'm missing something, feel free to answer!

Adult Jack is at least a 25 years time jump from the present (the actor is 27).
I think that this season they have been teasing two future timelines
One, when they visit Rebecca. Jack should be 14/15 by then. And with the "we are on our way" he might be refering to him, Kate and his sister

I think people are jumping to conclusions before they've given us the full picture. Yes, we know he has twins with Madison, and he is engaged to someone (probably Madison) on his 40th birthday, we also know that he is married 10 years in the future. However, we do not know that he is indeed married to Madison 10 years in the future. Here's my theory, I think over next season, This is Us will do their thing and make us like Madison, give her a back story and have Kevin fall for her and propose to her. However, I think she will die during child birth, and that he ends up married to Sophie. Now this isn't just wishful thinking on my part, I think they hinted at it throughout the show,. They told us that Madison has a medical history where she thought she'd never get pregnant (at risk), they flashback to the doctor about the hospital bringing such tragedy and joys. Only to bring us to the new doctor (who by the way appears to be a single father too), and since we know both her twins live, I think Madison will die and the new doctor will help Kevin through that loss and become a single father. Just my theory.

Jack, and Miguel in that flash back yet if i remember correctly. in season 3, do you remember when Randall thanked Toby for coming & he said something like “they’re” on the way.. he could’ve been talking about Kate (hopefully) & jack since he wasn’t wearing a wedding ring.
so, it’s two different timelines.

You are not alone, and if people did not forget on S04E12 Jack was telling little Kevin when he lost his sheep that it may seem like the worst thing but he should find something else to love and on that episode the older Kevin was heartbroken. Jack gave little Kevin Mr Tiger saying that Mr Tiger here would love to sleep beside him tonight and we see the older Kevin in bed with Madison beside him.
I think the Sophie story is over and Madison was that something else that was being referred to,, I dunno it's just the way I see it

One detail I noticed when they’re younger & Rebecca has to stay overnight in hospital after the car accident, Jack sneaks them to her room later that night in their PJ’s.
Randall enters her room first staying at the foot of the bed which he mirrors in 3x18, Kevin goes in 2nd and walks to the left of the bed, mirrored in 4x18 and I think Kate will appear last in flash forward in 5x18 and go to her right.
Can’t believe it’s bin over a year since I watched this can’t wait to see how season 5 ends next week

Kevin told his mom that Randall and him are not speaking. And in the future, it look like they rekindle their relationship here.
But after Season 5 Episode 8 ending, I don't believe so. The creator made us think it's like that. But never was.

I think Madison ends up with her doctor, Sophie is stepmom to the twins (if you notice she sees Kevin's picture and next scene Kevin looks down at his phone was there a text from her) and I also think uncle Nicky marries Cassidy.

It's not that far in the future from when Madison finds out she's pregnant. When they are all at Randall's, Kevin talks about them turning 40 in 9 months, which is the age they are at the cabin. I seriously doubt he managed to impregnate two women in that short of a period of time and be engaged that quickly to someone other than Madison. Stranger things have happened though, so who knows?
