Americans love British musix bands

Our politics may be joke but the values and rights that we own make me proud to be an American 🇺🇸
Proud to be American
in germany i cant even fly my own freaking flag without some folks frowning at me
Keep flying that flag, brother. There's nothing wrong with having pride for your country. I think people are too uptight about the 40s...now any patriotism is frowned upon. It's in the past, and Germany as a whole have learned.

People’s lives must be pretty good if their main concern is people calling themselves “Americans” or “an American”… must have it pretty easy 😂
The ironic part, they use false etymologies. They say not to use “rule of thumb” because it comes from an old British law about wife beating. No such law ever existed. I’m a high schooler and all it takes is 4 words, and about 2 seconds to see that no such law ever existed.
I’m pretty sure English Majors wrote this, but can’t find the etymology of common phrases?
Also, as a general rule of thumb(see what I did there), some Latin Americans prefer us to use the term estadounidense (Spanish for United Stars citizen/American) when we’re in their country and speaking the language.
I love the whole leaky roof analogy Optimus. I think more people need to hear that. These are the types of problems we have is when people find words and phrases like that offensive. We've just had it good for too long. People like that only just prove it.
Love to America from Georgia 🇬🇪🇺🇲

Thank you Optimus, American all the way!
"And I'm Proud to be an American"
We’re living in a time where being normal is considered an achievement. That doing the bare minimum is an achievement, I miss the 2000s and early 2010s. Where people were normal, we live in a dystopia now.
Hear me out: Stanford is just trying to sound prestigious by helping people make that word-count.

I admit we have our issues and I find absolute nationalism somewhat cringe.
But the amount of circle jerks I've seen in recent years especially in left wing places around hating the country is annoying.
If you live here and hate the country that much, then save enough money to leave to your destination of choice.
This isn't NK where you'll be shot or imprisoned for life for trying to leave. Also every country has it's issues, you picking a certain one to constantly shxt on to feel clever or funny isn't a win.
Let americans do the same to another country and then they'll be like "Oh ThE XenOPhoBiA."
This is about language, not politics. People from latin america view south and north america as one continent, America. And they dont like the united states of america claiming the title of America. Its like British people calling their country and citizens Europe(ans)
