I have been on and off of Flylady for years. Right now, I am newly separated and going through a lot, and just recently rented a house. In the midst of all the stress, my first thought was to get back on Flylady. There is such a peace in having the routines and structure when everything else is in chaos. It is even often a good physical workout to mop and vacuum and dust. It does give me focus. And when my surroundings are in order, it helps me mentally and physically to cope with everything else. My home becomes a refuge in the storm. Thank you so much for encouraging us and simplifying things. I really am glad I found you too. Please pray for me as I am really hurting. ❤ I will probably delete this later. (Small town.)
I am sorry you are going through such a difficult time. I found FlyLady in my lowest time during my own divorce. It provides a security of sorts that you are still able to manage chaos to some degree. I am here any time. This is literally why I started my channel so that no one has to feel alone or overwhelmed! It’s unlikely anyone will see your comments from your town but you can always email me or dm me on instagram or fb. Praying for you!!!

Even simple things, like choosing a different bathroom each morning to swish and swipe, if you're not able to get to all of them every day.
I tweaked the length of time for my zones. I spend 5 days per zone. Then the last 5 days I spend to catch up or a project. It has worked well the last few months

I love watching your videos, I’m having such a hard time doing the fly lady even tho I love her. I can’t seem to grasp it. Idk if I’m not just writing it down in a planner or in my phone, I’ve tried her app.. I’m a mom of 2 I work full time and go to school full time.. please help with your suggestions thank you 😊
First I would start with a good evening routine, closing the kitchen by washing the dishes or getting them in the dishwasher and turned on and wiping down the counters/rinsing the sink. It usually takes me 15-20 min every night but I listen to a show or youtube while I work and it goes by quickly. On my way to bed, I tidy the living room by picking up any blankets and pillows off the floor, I already took care of any dishes on the way to close the kitchen so all that is left is picking up my shoes and heading to bed which takes less that 5 min. In my bedroom, I write out my ToDo List for the next day and try to disconnect from electronics. This will start your morning off better. Do this for a week and then add in some good morning routine tasks. I add things in slowly because if it is too big I quit. Hoping this helps. What are you doing that works?
Right now I’m just trying to keep everything maintained I’m such a mess. I feel like there is never tome for anything my work hours are crazy. But I’m still trying to push along. Right now to plan my days and remember appointments I’m putting these in my google calendar. But I never have a plan for my cleaning I see it and just take care of it I don’t make priority lists.
3 things I’m doing today on anti-procrastination day: 1) change the batteries in the smoke detectors, 2) order more contacts, 3) clean my robot vacuum. Thank you for your videos!
