Well here is my first Patreon request! I didn't have anyone requesting anything at my request tier, so I decided to ask the rest of my patrons if they had anything they wanted me to do! And my good friend Alejandro (AHmusic) recommended that I do Castle from Super Mario World! And I really wanted to make this (and all patreon requests) personal to the person who requests it so it feels like they are getting something worthwhile! And in this case, I felt some similarities between this and two Opeth tracks, "Heir Apparent" and "The Lotus Eater", and since both Ale and I love Opeth, I only found it fitting to arrange it as such! I'm also trying to become more interesting in my arrangements and really transform these songs. So hopefully you guys enjoy!

Props to trying to be even more personal with the covers, man! Personally I think this is the way to go, especially with how complicated it is to distribute safely your music online! So if the line between original and cover is even thinner, more power to us!

Crazy good job! I sadly haven't listened to any Opeth so I can't say anything about that connection, but the dark, atmospheric stuff as well as the blast beat parts fit really, really well with the atmosphere of this song in the game.

HOLY CREATIVE. How come I've never seen a cover of yours before? I feel pretty stupid for that lol. But anyway, even though im not a big Opeth fan myself I totally see this song asking for an arrangement in the vein of their style. Nothing I love more in a cover than the willingness to take a few risks and step outside the box and this really does that well. I always viewed this song in two parts and the way you treated it as such put a big smile on my face. You seem to have a taste similar to mine and an arranging style that I connect with and feel I could take some notes from hah. And your tones make me jealous :/ Sorry for the essay but when I hear someone that really stands out like this I want to give my full opinion. I'm definitely gonna have to delve into your whole catalog but in the mean time, keep arranging and writing because stuff like this is imo what gives us vgm cover musicians a strong reputation as creators using music we love as a platform. It also gives us the chance to shine light on how great a lot of vgm songs are. This shit is literally inspiring me to get working on an arrangement again, its been too long lol. Badass stuff man >:)
