Angelina and Toby's collaboration only leads one way, and that's up, and up towards perfection of already perfection. The world's most versatile amazing young female vocalist in collaboration with one of the best in the music industry! WOW!!! The future will prove that they are unbeatable!
Angelina has done this song many times in so many different versions, but I think a lot of the Angels really think that this is her best performance. Slowed it down even more and added her jazzy influence throughout the song that gave it even more depth of soul and her story of telling ability is right through the roof. Angelina, I think now is slowly coming into her own at her own pace. She is in control of her own destiny. No recording studio or record studio telling her what to do. She is a strong, strong, formidable and protective family and her loyal fan base is always there for her. She is a true singer. Doesn't need to add anything to her vocals. Just a piano and her voice is all you really need to really enjoy Angelina. That's how good she is. But if she's with a live orchestra or a jazz band or backing group she sounds just as tremendous or just singing acapella. She is a generational talent and we only wish the very best for her in the coming future. Whether she becomes the absolute top star that everybody recognizes really doesn't matter because she will always have a dedicated fan base as she guides her own ship ! . Europe went crazy over this version of the song! It's IMPOSSIBLE to sound like her because every word she sings breathes a soulfulness which is genuine, the key word being 'genuine'. Where does she go from here? Yes, she is doing Concerts and is doing a lot of business with Toby but gaining the attraction of EVERYONE in the world to listen to her sing 'for them' is something that escapes our logical thinking process. Most of us have never heard her sing a song on the radio. Isn't it time for her to be appearing on some of those TV talk shows and maybe sing a song at the same time? Or, is this carefully planned out to let nature take it's course and allow her to blossom when 'the weather' is just right? I'm not complaining. Really! I just want the millions of people who haven't discovered her yet to finally get a chance. SHE NEEDS TO BE HEARD BY EVERY PERSON ON THIS PLANET. It isn't just her magnificent voice accompanied by her artistic qualities which great musicians are stunned by, it's 'who she is' that touches our hearts with a love so pure she inspires to be kinder, more caring and loving than ever before in our lives. She understands what is going on and she remains humble but she does want to spread her love to as many people as she can. She knows for the world to be a better place to live for everyone, the first step we need to take is to begin to love one another. A skeptic might wonder, "But there are many people who don't love anyone or anything." If there is anyone in the world who has the capability to open the door to someone's heart it is Angelina. Someone might ask, "What does she do? Is there a trick involved? Is it done with mirrors?" No. Simply, it is just Angelina being Angelina. And that's when those who suffer without love sense the feeling they get when they listen to her is 'genuine' and they may, in a moment of reflection, begin to sob and wash away the sorrow and see a brightness overtake them. What will happen to them shortly after discovering Angelina, someone they know will approach them and say, "There is something different about you. I don't know what it is but I like it."

We all know that she can take a classic song from the past & totally reinterpret into a different song, but this is the 1st time she has done it to her own original. Because she sings so much on the fly, I doubt she can sing a song the same way twice & I'm pretty sure she wouldn't want to. That's why she never gets boring. Just sayin'!!!
Ha Ha. "Where is it". Unfortunately that hits close to home. No problem--just glad to hear from you as I enjoy your perspective on Angelina. I feel she is taking a jump forward esp. in her upper register but also it seems to my unprofessional ear that her control is getting even better and her vibrato as well to name a couple. Her recent Christmas concert was the best yet and if you do any of those use James Thiel's site or Big Angie Fan if not on Jame's site. There are 3 that you may get a read on her improvement and "It's a Mans World" and "I Will Always Love You" ,(Whitney's arrangement), were live at the concert. "What a Wonderful World" is a soft,silky studio version. These are all songs she did when younger but has not revisited them for some time. If you do them it would be outstanding to get your opinion of her recent growth. Wishing you all the best. P.S. Never heard A.J. blow the roof off like she did at the end of "It's a Mans World"----she gave that mic stand a good shaking.😃

This could be her year to burst into broad public awareness, lord knows she deserves it. This performance in particular really showcases her abilities and jazziness.....I'm not even sure what you call what she did with the 'you-shoulda-been-breathin-fire' line - it's a bit scat-like in sounding like a musical instrument. And interesting observation about the desert setting and the valentine being deserted 🙂. As for a next suggestion: a performance from her Dec 2024 Christmas concert; two great ones are either her blow-the-roof-off cover of It's a Man's World, or an unreleased original (another great one from Angelina & Toby) Thank You.
