Keep your head up fella, we all get a bit dis heartened sometimes but you will get there.Just because one person says its not good dont mean the rest wont like it. I would try to use different fv's for beers, wines & ciders but apart from that as the count says start with a SMaSH and add one thing at a time till you find the off flavour. Even try bottled water vs tap water etc. Cheers Dan
Most of my beers have been shite, but I never truly realise until the next one, they do get better and better though, but as long as you enjoy drinking them at the time and brewing them, don't worry about it. Nice to see you back.
Top updates you will be fine , we all have s**t beers and there we learn and get pushed down right path it will turn out good , heads up a keep on brewing cheers
Apart from my first all-grain and a few others loads of mine have come out like complete arse, too. I did leave a lot of them for a stupidly long time, though. I haven't got a clue what the off taste is in mine, either. I can't tell if it's astringency from making my own DIY toasted grains and crystal or what - or maybe because I bought a 25kg sack of pre-crushed whether that's got anything to do with it even though I put it in a big vacuum bag (top tip there). My 1 gallon batches seem to come out a lot worse than the bigger ones. I don't care, though. I'm just going to keep doing it. I'm thinking of trying a SMASH to eliminate things one at a time - maybe give that a go. Cheers, dude.
I’ve read that you should keep your cider fv and beer fv separate as they can impart an acidic tastes, I’m sure that’s your answer.. Don’t get to disheartened we’re all learning and that’s what Brewtube or forums are there for.. Chin up buddy 👍🍻
don't get too disheartened buddy we all do good and bad brews its all part of this hobby but eventually the bad brews do become less often or we just get used to drinking shot lol but seriously keep at it

I have made the same conclusion myself, there is a definite winey taste to my recent brews, thanks for the comment
