Wow; what a cool video to stumble on! My grandfather saved this same bike from the scrapyard and we got it running as a project we could do together to teach me about mechanical equipment. It was my first motorcycle in what would be a long list of bikes still ongoing today… I think I was 10 or 11 when we did this. It was seized and after we got it unstuck we disassembled everything and put it back together. The entire cost of the project was a couple of cans of spray paint which I did a pretty bad job of using on it. Great memories; rode it in fields for about two years before moving on to more modern stuff. Thanks for the memories!
Thanks, I restored it from a basket case. A lot of parts were missing. As I live in the U.K. I had to source all the parts from America. The only thing I had trouble getting was a piston so I fitted a BSA Bantam piston which was almost identical apart from the Gideon pin size.
