  • Today I show you an eye gaze device. These track eye movements to control a speech generating device for people who need help communicating. In this video I am using a Tobii-Dynavox I-Series device with Communicator 5 software, however, there are several options. Speak with a speech therapist if you think you need one.

Thank you for sharing! I don't have a ton of experience in AAC. I typically work with a bilingual population.

I have an issuer where every time I speak my lower right lip keeps gong down really far and it looks really funny. It makes me look like the right side of my face is paralyzed. Any tips?

So my son has profound hearing loss and with CP due to brain injury (Kernicterus). I want to by this device but I am hesitant to believe that he will understand that actually the device is for him to communicate.
How will he know that this is the device I will need to use to communicate by eye gazing? Thanks.

Saeed, I didn't see that anyone responded to you. If you haven't already moved ahead, you might look for an AAC specialist or SLP in your area. You might also contact the company as they may be able to help connect you with a specialist who can do a trial.

@@michellepatterson7813 hello. Thanks for the reply. I have a found a reseller in Abudhabi for Tobi devices. They are willing to do an evaluation but traveling restrictions due to COVID-19 sucks. Will wait then go check them up.
