Bella handled the loose horse like a pro. Thankfully, he wasn't out of control on the loose, just sauntering out for a walk, I guess. There are a whole bunch of people there, so no wonder Bella was excited & a bit worried. But great experience for her. Enjoy the rest of the ride!
What really impressed me as a total stranger to horses is that you were saying “Whoah!” in firm-but-kind schoolteacher’s playground volume - and Bella was not at all confused between your voice and how you were guiding her. She *knew* it was the other horse you were talking to.

I stopped a loose horse one time.... It was an American Civil War reenactment. I was in a corset and hoopskirt, enjoying the day. I heard shouts from the picket line - loose horse! I was in a lane between high shrubs, and could hear the horse trotting. I spread my arms and legs wide, and when the horse appeared, said "whooooooaa" in a low calm voice. The horse was like "talking wall?" And he stopped. I grabbed his reins and gave him over. Easy, and lucky he wasn't dead set on bolting off!

Bella has really grown into quite the trail horse. I must admit, I'm somewhat surprised at how well she took to it. Great job Tara👍, how you've managed with 3 different horse personalities is beyond me, but you can be very proud of them all☆☆☆☆☆I bet Farouk's new owner is in love ❤already!!

Riding through those loose horses several vlogs ago with that fella on a western horse did Bella wonders I think that prepared her for that loose horse as no big deal , the more desensitisation the better for both to be safe x

Can't use fly spray? They have some types in the states that are pesticide free, and they work. Breaks my heart to see her made so miserable by those pesky flies! She is doing great with so much going on. She is so intelligent and beautiful.....what a winning combination ❤🎉🙏
I can'y find a fly repellent that works well or last more than 15 mins in reality. I have both new fly masks for Bella and Apollo

Tara I love how you're showing us the journey that it is to bring a young horse along. Sometimes I can hardly believe this is the same Bella we knew at the beginning she's changed and matured so much. Seeing her walk over to the loose horse and say, " Hello mate. Nice to meet you!" really takes the cake!

Bella did fantastic amongst all that commotion.
Bella is a pretty young girl and listens pretty well. There are mosquito sticky dots you can press onto bridle, browband. Girth etc…they don’t hurt fabric of leathers. She sure is bothered busy gnats and mosquitos they are such nasty critters. You could sew 2 triangles together to make ear covers. I often made my own tack, girths, blankets etc.

So funny, we look forward to the warmer weather all Winter, and then we get bugs. all the wet isn't helping either.
Very nice start...tractors, horse boxes, loose horse, all dealt with very well. Great confident walking. I think due to the ridiculous weather, there has been a hatching of flys. Hope that improves along the way.

Bella was a little on her toes, but she didn't act silly. It won't be long this will be second nature to her and she will be cool as a cucumber! Btw, Bella would enjoy a jump or two! Hope there's some water she can cross...she seems to like that too!😊

I think, the flies may be bad for you over there, because flies need rain to hatch. I noticed, when we had a wetter than normal spring / summer, that the flies were really bad then. Compared to a less than normal rain or drought like spring / summer. ❤❤ ~

Happy the horse didn't take off. Can you put fly spray on Bella? I know some horses don't like it. Think she would look so pretty with the fly bonnet. I remember Farouk's red bonnet and he looked so Cool👑🐎

Very calm she was and the other horse just touched noses and her mom got her. All is well.
It's a shame with all the flies. No rest for the horses, shaking their heads all the time.
