Hey man, I just wanted to say that I'm subbed to a bunch of improvement channels but yours was the first and I really love your style. I always upvote and I think what you do is great. You're my favorite channel and I always get stoked when I see you have a new video. You're like 1 of 4 people I've wrung the bell on among over a hundred channels? Thank you very much man. I appreciate your work greatly.
I am slowly learning that some people are not good for me, no matter how much I love them. I deserve someone who is gentle and kind because my soul is getting tired. Realizing that I deserve something good is one of the first steps.
I'm at a point where just seeing one of your videos in my recommendations makes me feel motivated and more disciplined and then I click on "watch later" and start working
This channel is exactly what I’m looking for right now! I LOVE the content. This brand has huge potential and I really hope this will continue and on a regular basis. Thank you!!
Thanks for your hard work on this video. It's really inspiring. My comment: We have a self-sabotaging system. Alcohol, drugs, laziness, overeating are some of them which are obvious. Moreover, some respectful areas (such as career, science, exercise, art, charities etc) may help the sabotage system, if we don't see our real problems. But why do we sabotage our life, are we crazy? I think it is a childhood/teenage experience. That time, when we were not happy, we found the comfort in turning out our emotions. I think we don't need to work hard, we need to get out of our comfort zones (which is really hard). Gradually success comes, we enjoy life more.
I love your content so much when I first saw your videos I saw something about brain detox. I was sticking to my phone the whole day and seeing nothing that could ever help me. I was like 7 hours per day but after watching your videos my phone time got lower. Thank you very much
I've found one word that describe myself better than any other! I've lived this way, and I've actually lost friends, and only have a few left who share a real interest with me and don't require babysitting. I think it's better to lose friends who's interests aren't interesting at all, and thus waste my time to babysit them. Thanks for the video!
Wow watching this video while I am in the middle of reading “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck” is awesome. Key points are the same. I realize that I am not in line with minimalism, because I am all for ESSENTIALISM. Thank you for this!!
Tried for 3 years to function in a home office jammed to the walls with too many things: 2 desks, reading chair, bookshelves, large monitor, etc. Finally cracked. Sold the reading chair and tossed the 2nd desk. kept only what was essential for getting my work done. Not an earth-shattering move, but essentialist all the same. Also, I bought Greg’s book sometime before that.
This so accurate.. As far as I know about myself and many among my social circle, we have just perfected ourselves in the of numbing into things which keep us busy and make us feel less guilty of being not productive _
Working hard is a symbolic representation of trying hard enough to please God. Working smart is a symbolic representation of knowing the one fact that matters; the blood of Jesus Christ washes away sin, and no efforts of our own ever will. God made survival relatively easy to accomplish, as long as begging and playing on the sympathies of others counts. As part of reality, it does. But, He also made it possible to thrive, and to do so requires a change of mind -- repentance is changing your mind. Business is an amazing mechanism for revealing God to the world!
This is easily one of the top 3 books that immediately made a difference in my life. I like videogames, but after reading Esstialism, I realized they weren't even close to a 9 anymore and I didn't want to make the tradeoffs I had to make now to play them. Maybe in the future, but I sold all my gaming items after reading the book.
Janek I guess I would just ask yourself do you really enjoy and look forward to doing it and is it stopping you from enjoying something else more? If you do enjoy doing it and you think it is a good use of your time and there is nothing else that you think is more important you should be doing than keep playing! Everyone needs some kind of hobby or thing to relax them, in the right context video games can be that.
@@knicks2030 I guess the "what's more important" is always going to be subjective, however, I definitely enjoy connecting with my audience, making people laugh and helping others through education which I include plenty of during my gaming livestreams :)
This is not the definition of essentialism … it’s a powerful concept in psychology and an important tenet of philosophy. The meaning is completely different.
It's true mostly time wasting for non essential works... Recently I realised and the same video says... Very happy I found probem before seen this video.. Thank you
I recognized my underlying problem. I'm too much of an existentialist or perfectionist try to make the projects or stuff extra perfect. Please give us more insight into how not to be an existentialist. Thank You !!
Hi, I'm robust lover and fan of your channel, really like your videos so much. I have a small UA-cam channel ( 4 subscribers). I use kinemaster but that's really worse. Mind if I ask you, which software you use.
Bro you are doing a great job! I really like your work. Its very educational. Out of inspiration I also am trying to do similar things on my channel. 😅 But anyways keep it up man!😌
Oh my gosh thank you I thought I was going crazy. I’m 23 and have been feeling horrible trying to fit in so many things during the day.. I am in the midst of trying to figure out ways to start a business or earn money from home while caring for my 1 year old. I haven’t felt healthy so I started exercising, cooking healthier, and trying to do my hobby of drawing and creating a platform to share my art work. Because I work from home as a Teacher and also studying for Teaching certificate as online teachers don’t earn much I just do not have enough hours of the day. I did exactly what you said and sacrificed sleep and this affected everything.
Hey Panda! I empathise with you :) I really recommend you watch "What the Health" and "The Game Changers" on Netflix as well as a pick up a copy of a book called "Rich Dad Poor Dad". Those have changed my life immensely. I wish you all the best on your journey :)
Janek Thank you for the reply :) I recently got my copy of Rich Dad Poor Dad and wow 🤩 what a book!!! We’re all in this struggle together 💪 Wishing you the best as well. 🤗
I just realized I've been wasting all this time on UA-cam, watching your channel! I'm out! THANK YOU! Just kidding... this channel is just what I need to learn to better spend my time.
So, what you're saying is,... I spend 20% of the day doing college work, then spend the rest of the day gaming and I'll be more productive. SORTED! 😎 I think I've just achieved Nirvana 🤩
Haha the whole time I was thinking the same thing 🤣 Saying YES opens doors to life and opportunities! Sometimes I feel saying "no" is almost out of fear of missing out on something else.
Can you make a video of how to identify what thing are important to you? I've been saying yes and listening to others for so long that I forgot what makes me happy, what I find important and essential in my life is lost by others.
But would you want to analyse procrastination. Procrastination is a quality some people have, not many people work this ideal way, many people instead procrastinate. And procrastination isnt necessarily negative.

Yep. Family and close friends are often the 'issue'.😊
Conclusion:
Essentialism == Art of prioritizing.
Thank you. I thought it was about defining things by their essence as opposed to statistically, which I think is often a bad call. Glad it's not that.

Hmmm, I'm still a bit confused how I feel about all that as a gaming streamer. I guess reducing my gaming time is an option i'll have to consider.
