I really hope not. The family thing is already beyond played out but if they make Sid's hole family serial killers, it will be even more goofy and eye rolling than 6 lol
The same could be said for the boyfriend or best friend being the killer as well. But then people complain when it’s someone Sidney didn’t even know, like Roman. So who else could it be? Her dog? lol
I highly doubt Sidney's daughter would be the killer. I don't think Neve would allow that. We're lucky she even allowed her daughter in it. But I don't think Sidney's daughter will be the killer.
Making Sidney's daughter a Ghostface in Scream 7 would be brilliant for several reasons: 1. Transmission of trauma: This twist would show how Sidney, despite her best efforts, was unable to escape the legacy of violence, giving a fascinating psychological angle on the family. 2. An unexpected twist: Fans would be surprised by this bold choice, renewing the saga's tension with a fresh approach. 3. Basis for a trilogy: A trilogy could explore their mother-daughter relationship, with a gradual build-up of tension to a final confrontation, enriching the franchise with new depth. 4. "Anti-Sidney": By becoming Ghostface, his daughter becomes a dark mirror of Sidney, creating a unique emotional and moral conflict, while revisiting the myth of the "final girl". 5. A revival for the saga: This choice would link past and future, while offering captivating new narrative avenues for the audience. In my opinion, it's a very good idea to see one of Sydney's girls change.
There’s just one problem with all of this, and that’s the fact that they already did the whole fake-out of having the “new Sidney” surrogate character turn out to be Ghostface with Jill in Scream 4. It’d be redundant to do that again
It wouldn't be redundant to have one of Sidney's daughters in ghostface, if anything it would be even darker and more psychological to have one of Sidney's daughters in ghostface.@@kjbeast677
Maybe scream 7 could mirror halloween h20 with sidney being paranoid and overprotective of her daughter and maybe if gale has a son in this one it could be revealed that gales son was the son of dewey but since dewey left gale gale never got a chance to tell dewey
I want a good film and I'm sick of this family ties. Scream 6 was shite in my eyes 👀👀. We need good characters as Mindy killed that film for me so much I've watched once & i bought the dvd. Kirby wasn't much better. I only liked Gales call chase, Annika & the Bodega. Great video as always Tyler 😊👍💜🐾👋
This is more related to the last couple minutes of the video; I really wish they are currently planning a sequel to 7 that’ll actually release on the 30th anniversary (doesn’t matter if it is the in universe day or the actual release of the 1st film. They could tease the daughter being involved but never follow up on it. Or better yet, make her an independent killer that only kills people who she believes will threaten her family. She could be influenced by the haunting words of 7’s killer or killers causing her to snap in a Sidney Prescott way; killing the killers (or rather who she believes is a killer). It would call into question Sidney’s morals of doing whatever it takes to survive. Her daughter would put that to the test.
I’m sick and tired that they adding more final girls! I want the main focus to be a male being a final boy and more female killers in the upcoming scream movie
I feel like it should lead up to that but in the end its not. Imagen Sidneys anxiety and her fighting her mind thinking its her daughter but its not. Sidney having trust issues because of her past.
I don't think we need to worry about this because Kevin Williamson is involved and it's not likely he'll follow the pattern of matching previous themes. Remember, he wrote/co-wrote Scream 1, 2, and 4. If you think about those scripts, those focused on commentating on the genre. We're not really in reboot territory anymore, it's looking more like we'll get a Halloween type vibe with generational trauma. Sidney not being in the last movie would be a great opportunity to have her daughter be telling her "it's okay now, the killers aren't even after you anymore, you can lighten up" -- then turns out she's wrong. The only way I think the daughter being the killer could work is if she never goes after Sidney and she's only doing it with the thought process that if she's the Ghostface, she can protect her mother and prevent other Ghostfaces from creeping up?
I actually think this could work out however it would take some masterful writing to make it work and believable, which I am not sure they’re capable of. The only thing which would make this film an utter embarrassment would Stu coming back as ghost face.
I could see Sidney's daughter be a survivor like her mother and the killer be someone who Sidney gave away for adoption Sam may not be the only one who has Billy Loomis is a father and this Ghostface killer targets Sidney and her daughter Tatum
I think that they could make mark the killer that in part 3 he was the secret accomplice to Roman but the lust he had for Sidney made Roman drop him and assume he was dead and all along he was plotting but probably not
Considering scream 5 and 6 are just lazy rehashes of previous scream movies, it’s not out of the question for them to do this. Scream 5 is just scream 1 and scream 6 is just scream 2. Or at least the Stab equivalent of those movies.
Gail is suppose to get a bigger role so maybe it will be her family if you believe the rumours Toby macguire is suppose to play her new love interest so that could possibly be the killer if it’s not him def her love interest that got with her only to get close to Sidney
Sadly, I don’t think it will be anything special, just because the time of magic in a bottle that lead to the first movie has passed. It’s hard to recapture that. Scream 2 was okay but even then you could tell besides a few select scenes you could tell something was missing. I think the latest iterations really had no balls, were pretty uncreative, and written for the current younger audience, which means the dialogue and characters are gonna be more homogenized. All of the core four are either boring or trying too hard to replicate other past characters, and not doing it as well unfortunately. Funny enough I think what hurts the franchise is being too aware of itself and popularity, so it focuses on the meta. The great thing about the OG is that is mixed a lot of aggressive and insensitive dialogue with moments of vulnerability. Sydney balanced out basically everyone in her friend group, as they were all big personalities. There are no big personalities that feel original in the last couple. But would love to be wrong and find the new one interesting. The final trope is also just not that interesting anymore. I know a lot of people will find that preposterous but usually they are bland nowadays and if there is no tension of whether they will die, then you are taking out a huge question of suspense.
Ghostface will keep up with the tradition with scream 3 and the killer will be Marks bastard son 😂 and now he hates his father and step mom ( Sydney ) for starting a family without him and he hates his sister the way Roman hated Sidney. For the father and the mother and dammit everything that was supposed to be his 😭
or having a ghostface be conntected to det mark kincaid past has that a intresting plot idea maybe someone he putaway in his past got out and a string a ghostface killing happen right has he finds out so this makes mark nervse the tell sidney about the promblem where that killer is the mastermind but has a accomplice is someone who is near the prescott/kincaid family now thats what i think could happen
i just thought of something intresing how about making the prescott a incidental target in some one else story that allowing the motive being unquine but differnt maybe in the current town sidney living in had a serial killer in its past and is retired and may have a realative who is sidney daughter friend group and someone might know about that past and uses the ghostface mantel for revenge im just say having someone else family be that family elemant
Since scream 5 and 6 echoed the first two films, if they really want a ki11er who is revealed to be Sidney’s kid, have Sidney’s son be the ki11er. Now here me out: Somewhere between the end of Scream 1 and 2, Sidney has a son who she had with Billy. Since Sidney believed Ghostface would come back for her (as established in Scream 2) and knowing the kid would be bullied for being related to Billy, Sidney gives up the kid for adoption. Then the boy has some abus1v£ experiences in the foster system or something he decides to take revenge on Sidney and her daughters on the 30th anniversary of the original murd3rs because Sidney’s kids had the life he didn’t. Although this isn’t my preferred choice for what’s Ghostface motive could be, if they have to have Sidney’s kid be the ki11er whilst also paying homage to Scream 3, I’d do it like this
This is a carbon copy of Roman’s motive. However, it makes more sense that Sidney would do this between 1 and 2; before 3 when she realizes that she isn’t defined by her mother’s choices. The problem with this and with Roman is that there needs to be some hint, Easter egg, or buildup to this sort of thing. We didn’t even know she had children for the longest time, let alone a teenager(s). Now a secret adult?

The only way I see that working is that Sidney has forgotten what her son looked like and she has a regular relationship with him. That would be nearly 30 years. So, why does he only come after her now? Is it because she has been known to demolish any killer in her path? Does he now have some will to kill now?
I really hope not. The family thing is already beyond played out but if they make Sid's hole family serial killers, it will be even more goofy and eye rolling than 6 lol

I hope not either like hell NO
I have three words for this upcoming sequel: Expect the unexpected.
It would be 50 something years later I hope not bad 💯

Yeah the whole thing with her family being killers was done twice already in 3&4

I agree. Reverse the usual normal. Have a main final boy, give us 2 female ghostfaces for once in the franchise.
They made Richie's father, brother, and sister the killers in Scream 6. So, they can absolutely make Sidney's daughter the killer in Scream 7.
Scream 7 needs to be the final movie tbh. This franchise has ran out of juice!
Stu lives!
I honestly don't see it happening, 🤷😂, Mathew Lillard said he's not coming back
If stu lives dewey lives it's only fair.
True lol @@jdogjohnson382
It’s all about family.
I feel like it should lead up to that but in the end its not. Imagen Sidneys anxiety and her fighting her mind thinking its her daughter but its not. Sidney having trust issues because of her past.
A theory I have is that it’s Stu and Jill who are living together in seclusion somewhere.

I hope not be she had friends, boy friends and family tried to kill her before it would go deeper if it’s her daughter

Why have the daughter as a gf when she can potentially be the future lead!

Sidney was pushing a stroller in Scream 5 . Was that her baby or someone else's.
