- This is what I call a successful debut! It felt like a soft launch, easy, catchy, simple, sweet but addicting, innocent and refreshing! Nothing too much, nothing too little, just right if that makes sense!
If I were to describe this with a drink it would be a glass of cold chocolate milk! Each of these MV really gave me this sense of innocent, fluttering ,first crush and “love makes you stupid” kind of energy and so you feel brazen and bold, ready to do anything to confess! I loved how the 3 MV were connected and told a story of Taesan (I think) who has a crush on that girl and the rest of the boys are his sidemen, hyping him and helping him get the girl’s attention snsnsns It’s so sweet and adorable on every level but at the same time it felt genuinely innocent and I think that’s why it was so enjoyable to watch! I absolutely love the blend of confident, bold raps and sweet, shy vocals because it created a super pleasant balance!
In a sense, it reminded me a bit of ‘airplane’ era Ikon? I hope that makes sense lol But honestly, if they keep on making songs like this, which it looks like they’ve already established a signature sound to some degree, I am going to be loving their music! I already really really liked these three songs, though I have a slight preference for ‘One and only’ right now! I’ll definitely keep an eye on them! Like I said also, musically speaking, I trust Zico and I guess that was the right choice to trust him here again!

NEIGHBORS was a really cute idea though!
All 3 songs are connected actually! the songs tell the story of how they met the girl (but i like you) , through time their feelings grew, then they go to buy the clothes (one and only) to confess to the girl (serenade)
You can also see it over the fact that in but i like you the lyrics are 'i like you', while in serenade it's 'i love you', signifying how their feelings grew over time
The boys took Part in writing, composer, choreography and making the music videos.
“i’m in my mom era” felt that 😭😭 i’ve been a block b and zico fan for 10+ years so boynextdoor are like my nephews or cousins in a silly little parasocial way 🤣 they’re so adorable! also your reaction was so entertaining and so lovely 🩵 you put my thoughts and feelings about this group into the perfect words!! thank you for sharing, i will definitely be subscribing 🫶

Compared to other groups debuting i can forgive 1 17 year old a lot more, than like the babymonsters lineup who are literal babies

I don't know why but their concept, vibe, and overall aura is like a boy version of newjeans. Anyways, I really love them already because of their fresh, youthful, and non-generic concept, to be honest I didn't really like the song at first when it was dropped (the first mv) but if you keep listening to it it'll get better and better and now I'm hyping these 3 songs! I will say I really love the way their voices sound too, they have distinct voices that you can tell apart but fit so well together as a group and I dig it so much!
Samezies with the idea of zico.. He's one of the first artist i followed ever since their debut and his solo activities, this man knows his art, and he also started young and underground.. so im so proud that he gets to expand alot.. i wish this first boyband under his own label will be a success too :). I really love their sound and i think zico really put his trust on this boys

There's actually a few people hating them because their sound is so Zico sound. What I can say to them is because it is Zico's group ofc they would sound like his music. Just because Koz is under HYBE some people think they will have a similar sounding debut to the groups who are under HYBE. HYBE has given all the subsidiaries under them the freedom of their music but there are some exemptions which are the groups Bighit created themselves. (I. E : BTS , TXT , Enhypen , &Team ) if you can see the similarities? Then yes those who has a universe.
Bts and txt write ,composer and producer their own music.
All 7 bts members have creative control over their solo activities.
Plus jungkook has director bts music video.
Enhypen is starting to write,help with choro ect....
And so &team help create their choro.
Boynextdoor took part in writing and composeing their songs. They also helped with the making of their music videos and choro.
@@nicoleloss7987 it seems you didn't get what i said. I never mentioned anything about composing and producing songs. All the other subsidiaries have all the freedom to their own music but with the groups hitmanbang himself has a hand in creating they will still have a say to their music direction. For BTS they would have the little say to their music now. But for groups like TXT , Enhypen and &Team they almost have full control of the music direction.
The concept is like brother of New Jeans
Currently the group has 6 songs and there are three members who are credited in 5 and these are Woonhak, Taesan and Jaehyun, also as a fact Serenade was inspired by the love story of the parents of the last member I mentioned (The only song where they are not credited is One & Only)

I think that one & only is actually their debut song, they’ve been promoting it the most so far I think, although officially they refer to all three songs as title tracks, soo you have a good instinct 😅

HYBE are doing well when it comes to debuting new groups. I mean, their new groups is releasing music video first before their actual debut to attract the fans, and it's working! their musics is sooo good.

I think, all groups that debut under hybe label are funded by hybe, koz is owned by hybe with zico as ceo. and it would be too risky for label to debut a group with 3 title songs with 3 mv if it's not from a big company because the funds spent must be a lot, same like newjeans debut where even each member has their own mv. but all the creative processes and decisions regarding debut are owned by Koz and zico a believe
