Just installed mine on my 2014 fusion Titanium! A cool trick I realized is if you remove the sound deadening material on the hood, the induction noise is wayyy louder in the cabin.
My 2016 Ford Fusion gained 8.4 horsepower when tested on a dyno literally across the street from my work lol and it may not be much but I did notice a lot faster boost response and the sound is pretty impressive especially with a blow off valve. May not be much but better then nothing.
2 days ago I installed this K&N cold air intake on my 2015 Fusion Titanium eco. So far I'm impressed with the upgrade. The Turbo sounds ALOT better and there is a noticeable increase in HP. The car seemed more responsive immediately and this was just normal city driving. I live in Ca so I have Carb legal 50 state version. K&N includes a carb legal sticker with stamped EO# for state smog inspection. I placed that sticker right on the casing in front of the air intake. This will be the only small performance modification I do to the car.
Fun fact about the fusion 2.0 eco boost (I have one myself) you can adjust the turbo solenoid to push out more psi. I just got this intake and with the turbo adjusted, and intake it’s pretty zippy
Steeda front strut bar 179$ and Steeda strut hood lift kit 120$ If you're gonna go all out and spend$, also get Livernois performance tune, rear sway bar and Steeda performance shocks installed in addition to the first 2 things mentioned.; Also maybe upgrade your tires if needed.
Hello and thank u for sharing this vid. Will this kit also fit a 2014 Lincoln MKZ V6 3.6L AWD engine? I think the under engine set up are the same in both the fusion and mkz.
Im a little new to the car scene i just turned 16 and bought my parents fusion off of them and one question is do i need to live in cold climate to use a cold air exhaust ik its a dumb question but i figured i should ask
Not a dumb question. You may have helped others get an answer that were also afraid to ask. I live in Cali and a lot of people have these cold intakes. This might have to be my next install.
Hi RR....Mine called Mondeo here in Malaysia, same engine as yours 2.0 Ecoboost 2015...if you dont mind to share what is the part no of those K&N open port....thanks
I just fitted the steeda one, looks good but I think this one is a better product. Looks like it fits better but the steeda one is sheiled from the engine bay
let your engines breathe. I have one in my 2013 Taurus SEL and I love the whistle and growling but if your always on the gas then you will need lots of gas
I just replace(d)* my stock grill and my gas mileage went up. I work right down the street so I was only getting 16mpg. Now I am getting 17.7 mpg for the city and 28-32mpg for the highway
@@davidtapia1550 sorry. Was out of town for the past 4-5 days. And yeah. I love my grill. It’s a honeycomb design and the spacing gives the engine a little more air. As long as you don’t drive like a full asshole (like me) than you will be fine. Haha. But I recently got like 18.6 mpg
This will add ZERO hp. They call this a cold air intake but in reality it’s not because it’s taking in warm air from the engine compartment. These products are being sold based on a myth, all you are doing is adding a sucking noise.
I disagree. Heat soak is very minimal since the hood provides a seal over the top of the cold air intake and the factory plumbing that routes cool air to the intake from the fender or the bottom of the car is still in place.
Reynolds Rides If that’s the case then a different type air filter is really all that has changed. The incoming air doesn’t care if it’s routed through a square or a round air filter.
The engine is breathing better by bringing in more air through the bigger, higher flow filter as well as a bigger intake tube. Every kit can be a little different but the overall concept is the same. More, cooler air = more power.
Reynolds Rides The engine only uses that amount of air it needs. If all else remains the same (valve timing, port size etc) a bigger intake tube by itself will not make more power. You mentioned all the factory plumbing is still intact, how does it get colder air?
At the end of the day, dyno results don’t lie. We can go back and forth on this but if you research it on Google and UA-cam, there have been numerous dyno tests done that evidence that cold air intakes and high flow filters increase horsepower.
I made a video of me racing this car in my ‘89 Corvette. Check it out: ua-cam.com/video/8vAJQDIScLQ/v-deo.html.
I have the 2017 Ford Fusion se with 2L ecoboost and turbo. subbed plan on getting this mod and loved this video!!!!!!

Now use something like the delta

Is there any chance we can get a review after having it installed for 3 years?

how?
@@stopthecap8679 if you look at the wastegate there’s two nuts. Adjust them to get closer to the wastegate and gold
A step bit is pretty cool for many types of holes.
Tbh, sounds gr8 but sport mode actually adds no horsepower. It just stiffens suspension and tweeks throttle control
They knew that…
Was the car completely stock before the CAI? Or did it have a bov? It sounds crazy for just one mod
Completely stock.
2:19 the disappointment in the audience 😂
Where are you guys at ,it looks beautiful
Does anybody know where I can get a wide body kit for a 2017 Ford Fusion titanium
Ss tuning
I miss the Fusion already.
So much potential, such a great ride and diversity that make each car unique, even though there are millions out there.
Do you need an eco boost engine for this?
You add a catch can??? Just bought a new 2020 and was wondering if you know about the dfi flaws.
Need this upgrade for sure. Good video. She sounds a bit nasty she can breath a bit better.
What else should Trevor do to his Fusion? Tuner?
Caliper covers?

I have a 2015 ford fusion se with a 1.5L eco boost engine It should be turbocharged will it fit in my car?
why did u do a third gear run when 4th is the 1:1 ratio?
Will it fit in a 2017 fusion titanium? Ur engine looks the same but on the website it says it doesn’t fit
Should be about the same install on a 1.5L 2017, correct?
I would think so but not 100% sure.
Is it worth the money?
It’s only work for the acoboost ? How about the 2013 SE ?
Do you have any other mods? I wonder if a tune would do anything
No other mods but, yes, a tune would definitely wake it up even more.
How good does it seal against hood so hot air doesn't get in im torn between this one a d the steeda
It seals pretty well. You’ll probably get a little heat soak but nothing too bad.
I just fitted the steeda one, looks good but I think this one is a better product. Looks like it fits better but the steeda one is sheiled from the engine bay
Did it ever throw any codes?
Nope!
Does this k&n kit fit the 2017 2.0
This kit is for a 2013-2016 Fusion but I’m sure you can find one for a 2017.

Amazon. There’s a link in the description.

Yes.
What was the engine size of the fusion?

Probably not this particular kit but I’m sure K&N makes one for a 2018.

Diesel or petrol?
will it improve mpg?
Maybe a little.
You should have bought a tapering bit.
Did installing this cause a check engine light?
Nope!
I didn't see anything about MPG.
No shot you notice the difference in power

just because the air intake company puts a paper with a graph saying it gives 10 more horse power doesnt mean its true!
