This is the exact model and color of my first big bike ever when I was working in Japan during the 1990s. It still looks and sounds good!

I had one for a couple of years and I nailed it most of the time and was reliable and handled great.

Identical to the bike I owned around 1988. Gets a bit of a panning from people but I loved it and I still think it looks great today; particularly, in the black/grey.

I owned one of these in identical colours in the early 90s, as my first bike bigger than a 600. It was comfortable and plenty quick enough (particularly at the top end), but could be a bit skittish accelerating hard across even small bumps or white lines😅.
It sounded much better after I added a Motad Datum 4-1, giving it a cleaner exhaust note.
I don't think my bike was ever quite as clean as this one, even way back then!
    Nice bike! 👍

A very under rated bike in my opinion and this one looks to be a very original and clean example. I had an identical bike back in the 90s and often wish I still had it. Enjoy, and thanks for the memories.

Used to race these 87-88 models great bikes!. They were actually better than the 89 bikes. In fact I switched back to them & they are every bit as good as the RC30 in production form at a pro level

My first bike. I had it from 1992 until 2004 and 250.000 kilometres. I made some improvements. Wheels from ZZR , swingarm from ZXR, White Power suspensions and kit for more horsepower. I still miss it, still have the keys

I have NEVER seen a 750R on any road ever. I love this bike, so underrated. It hit 154 mph back in ‘87 I believe. Love the low profile seat and rear tire. The red/white/navy was the coolest color scheme imo. A true unicorn.

I'm buying one next week, they still pop up here every now and then, I remember them racing in the first year of the World Super Bike series in 88, before the ZRX750 took over racing duties.

Had he exact bike with a Vance an Hynes phase 3 jet. It was so fast and only weighed about 118 pounds. I needed my friends to help me weigh it down when I wanted to go fast. I would take them them with me at no less than 125 on the high way. That was plenty fast back then for me. I adored my bike. after I sold it I found it thrown on the floor of a mechanic's shop almost 16 years later. He said he was sending it to the Dominican Republic. It needed a ton of work. It was like seeing an old friend that was down on his luck. I so wished I had the money and time to work on it. I would have taken it off his hands. Loved that bike.

This bike ( not this exact bike) was my very first Ninja and led to decades of Ninja ownership. Great bike, I do not like that Kawasaki got rid of the fuel gauge. You don't really need it but it's nice to have. I guess they were trying to make it true to the track bike. I still love that paint and graphic scheme. Thank you for triggering some good memories for me.

Danke für das Lob. Habe 4 GPX750R in meiner Sammlung. Alle in einem sehr guten Zustand. Die GPX750R wird oft unterschätzt, ist aber für eine 80er Jahre Bike sehr sportiv.

My first new bike was this with no GPX insignia. Was the picture on the service manual so I assumed it was European or Japanese only that had the sticker. Fun bike when I was still young!

My 87 ZX750F has been tucked away in my shed for 30 years, I've pulled it out a few times over the years to sell it, but I would get a hard-on every time, so back into the shed it went. What's the difference between ZX750F and the GPX750, do you know? My bike looks identical to the one in the video. Back in the day I installed an 4 into 1 Supper trap exhaust, it sure made the bike freaking loud! But I liked it!! LOL!

ZX750F1 is the Kawasaki model designation for the 1987 GPX750R , called the 'Ninja' 750R in the U.S. Even the earlier air cooled GPz750s and later ZXR750s are also called ZX750s, The alphanumeric at the end denotes model and year. For instance a 1991 ZXR750 (ZX-7 in the US) Is called a ZX750J1, when the model was updated in 93 it became the ZX750L1, the 96 ZX-7R is the ZX750P1.

Danke vielmals.

I bought one brand new in 1989 swapped in a 1986 gpz900 against it, it was a horrible POS.
I hated the thing I covered 4 thousand miles on it thinking it might improve with mileage but no it didn't, ended up losing 2grand on it and buying another GPZ900 A5 which I kept for five years.
The most gutless piece of crap I've ever ridden my left foot ached changing gear like a moped.
