Moving out this week this town has changed so rapidly in the almost 15 years I have lived here. Nice to see an old video before all the hoopla from the people who moved here from San Jose. Although I love new look from the downtown is so nice to see nowadays
I was born here; it is insanely crowded..impossible to go North in the morning or come back into town at night, Two hours to San Jose. Some people arise at 3 AM just to get to work...no jobs in town. My wife comes into Hollister to our hollister home from Los Altos. She spends 700 dollars a month on gas. It is just not economically feasible to live here and work northerly. Developers have ruined our little village. (high crime rate: just had a camera stolen from my parked vehicle!) and to top it off, high grocery prices, and $86 month for SEWAGE, not water just sewage highest in California.
Same here and I agree with all this info, I live here too and it’s depressing living here. House prices here are ripping through the roof and there’s nothing to do here, I highly do not recommend here.
i WAS BORN HERE, IT HAS GONE DOWNHILL OVER THE YEARS. oVER POPULATED, HIGHER CRIME RATE CROWDED SCHOOLS, CAN'T EASILY GET OUT OF TOWN OR INTO TOWN DURING COMMUTE TIMES. dON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT MOVING HERE!
viceo was taken on the GOOD end of San Benito street, very misleading. Overcrowded, crime fluorishing, streets very bad and always some closure somewhere in town...stay away bad news....
Love my town of Hollister, I've lived here all my life. Seen many things change..many friends and family go. So sad. Miss the older days.
