People hate this guy? Bunch of little flowers if they hate this guy. Puts out amazing trumpet content for all of us because he hopes some people will enjoy it. Hard to hate that!
To add to that, covering Doc's version of this song is crazy. You do a great job copying his open sound which I imagine is hard to do because that's a signature sound that not many players have but is unmistakable when listening to Doc.
