for me, it was the final battle against the Indominus Rex, having seen her spend the whole movie dodging all manner of human counterattacks, slaughtering Sauropods for sport, shrugging off gunshots as if they were flea bites, (seemingly) wiping out the entire Raptor Squad (RIP Delta, Echo, and Charlie) with barley a scratch, and brought down Rexy in less than 2 minutes, the one thought feverishly going through my mind as she bared down on the felled Rexy to deliver the killing blow was a slightly hysterical, 'What's it gonna take to stop this thing?!!'. Seeing Blue charge down the street, then the entire sequence of her and Rexy teaming up on the Indominus finally short-circuited my brain to all else. Well done. a worthy runner-up to me would be the later stages of the Lizzie vs George battle, the music perfectly conveying the ever mounting desperation of trying to bring down a 200+ft, hyperaggressive, seemingly impregnable mutant Crocodile with anything and everything they can find in a sea of wreckage and rubble, all while a bomb is basically seconds away from arriving and wiping out the entire city.
King Kong (Peter Jackson version), where Kong fights the dinosaurs to save Ann.... brutal and beautifully exhausting and exhilarating at the same time.
That fight was awesome. It definitely showed the brutality of Skull Island, the ferocity of it's most deadly predators and the lengths Kong will go to protect his friend Ann. If the Monsterverse Kong fought them, the V-Rexes would have to be at least 100 feet tall. Otherwise he'd beat them by stepping on them.
Skar King is the more interesting looking villain even before we found out Shimo is officially female. Yeah, Skar King looks like a tall, scrawny ginger of an orange chimpanzee. But since seeing those Playmate toys, his action figure is the one I want over Shimo’s. It feels like GxK will be more like Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, just turn them into giants, while Kong needs help from Godzilla at fighting Shimo. I think strength vs. strength, Kong looks stronger to me than Skar King but he happens to be shorter. Skar King likely defeats Kong in their first encounter. Shimo likely destroys Kong’s axe and his hand likely gets severely injured by Skar King’s whip. But Kong avenges Skar King once they fight in Rio while Godzilla is fighting Shimo at the same time. It really does feel like a Planet of the Apes movie, people. Take Caesar and Kubo from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and make them up to 350-400 feet. Make Kubo orange to fool for a orangutan when he’s really a chimp like Caesar and Kubo. Turn Caesar into a giant gorilla who doesn’t speak and that’s Kong for you. I can’t wait to see it. All I know is Godzilla Minus One is the best Godzilla movie ever made but MinusGoji has no shot against titans in MonsterVerse. I’d take Doug over MinusGoji. And for my money, I would buy the S.H. MonsterArts toy of 2002 Mechagodzilla Kiryu over SHMA’s Minus One. We need Hiya or whoever to make a really good Skar King and Shimo figure. What we need is Spacegodzilla AND Destroyah in the MV movie next. Or why not MonsterVerse Godzilla fighting every best Showa, Heisei, Millennium, and Reiwa versions of Godzilla? I want all the different Godzillas in an all-out rumble to see which Godzilla is the GOAT? We don’t even need the one from 1998. I say the final round is Legendary Godzilla vs. Heisei Godzilla. The Showa one and Minus One likely loses early since they’re the smallest ones. The Final Wars Godzilla could fall in the top 3.
Damn it, guys, every time you come out with one of these monster videos you give me urges to watch Godzilla King of the Monsters. I'VE ALREADY SEEN IT AT LEAST 8 TIMES!
@Live_Banana LOL dude me too! I'm a former Marine myself and was actually stationed at the same base that the Marines in the movie are stationed. Love that movie!
I waited for many years But I got to see Godzilla whoop Kong good in theaters, and it didn’t disappoint Although I did feel bad for the way Kong was treated by humanity for much of the movie And I am grateful for the help he lent to Godzilla in the fight against MechaGodzilla
Even tho Kong got beat up in the movie , he was the one to kill the main villain. He killed Mecha , something Godzilla couldn't do. So Kong has been given his title as a "Hero" for saving Godzilla and the world from a villain. Godzilla didn't have that title in the movie so let's be happy bro 😄 Both got their scenes. Kong arguably had more screentime , and more interaction with the humans , while Godzilla destroyed many humans in the first scenes. Both got their respect
Awesome fights! So many of them. Godzilla vs MegaGodzilla,Godzilla vs Konga,Hulk vs Abominations,Mr Hyde vs Dante,T-Rex vs Giganto,T-Rex vs Spinosaurus.,Kong vs T-Rexes. Godzilla vs Destroyah is epic. Excellent video
As an Australian I can't help thinking that Godzilla would have done less harm and more potential good to Sydney's architectural heritage had he thrown Zilla into the University of Technology building at the opposite end of the CBD from the Opera House, and then atom-blasted that eyesore.
Godzilla vs Kong should've been #1 in my opinion. It was the rematch of all rematches in Cinema history. People were looking forward for the rematch since 1962. Almost 4 decades later we were sooo hyped for this. Thank You Adam Wingard 👍👍👍
One of the best WatchMojo lists. Not only did you come close to the perfect list, but the order is pretty difficult to argue with. Putting Destroy All Monsters at #2 is proof whoever did this list is really a fan. Then going back to Destroyah instead of one of the Monsterverse films is really insightful. Kudos.... My all-time favorite fight is Destroy All Monsters. Saw it as a kid and it still lives up to the memory. It was supposed to be the last Godzilla movie, so Toho went all out. But it did so well that they brought him back a few years later and started a new era of Big G taking on all challengers.

Making them into literal living mountains and/or stone elementals was, I think, a very smart decision on the filmmakers' part.

Never understood why every predator in a giant dinosaur movie insist on stopping whatever the hell their doing, including eating just to hunt the human characters, but it works for cinema
the fact that not even one entry from gamera isnt included here feels like a crime. gamera had alot of great fight scenes, his fight against legion was a masterpiece for one.
Hulk and abomination way too low, basically ranked with people in costumes filmed in black and white . While Godzilla final wars is on here way too much, for a 2000s movie graffics look more like early 90s power rangers TV show.

Never understood why every predator in a giant dinosaur movie insist on stopping whatever the hell their doing, including eating just to hunt the human characters, but it works for cinema
Calling Godzilla vs Zilla from final wars a battle is not right. It's an execution.
COOL LIFE SUPER COOOLLL
King Kong is the og kaiju. Hail to the king
Long Live the King👑🦖(Godzilla)
"Even the mediocre movies" omg that knew killed me
Godzilla vs Destoroyah at #1 is a pleasant surprise but not a single Gamera fight? That in itself is surprising.
Gamera vs Iris is on this list...
@@kamikazipidgion whoops, thats what I get for speed-watching
I'd Like to See Godzilla 2024 Fight King Kong
idk why but this video made me mad some of her takes are crazy
the fact that not even one entry from gamera isnt included here feels like a crime. gamera had alot of great fight scenes, his fight against legion was a masterpiece for one.
Gamers vs Iris is on this list...
Hulk and abomination way too low, basically ranked with people in costumes filmed in black and white . While Godzilla final wars is on here way too much, for a 2000s movie graffics look more like early 90s power rangers TV show.
Pacific Rim deserves to be higher guys, Gypsy was amazing
Fr, but which Gipsy are you talking about?
As an Australian, I am honoured they chose the Opera House to lay waste to Zilla
Pissed off goji is bad enough but pissed off mourning dad goji? son you done fucked up !

2008 hulk was supposed to be the avengers hulk never going to let that go this battle had me on edge of my seat
