Undoubtedly a sick af demo but in terms of fanservice, it feels lacking. Like, for a game thats been unashamedly showing fanservice in such copius amounts (Zhu Yuans butt, Caesars shower scene, EVERYTHING with Jane Doe), for them to suddenly dial it back for Lighters demo feels a bit unfair for the ladies. Not even a shirtless or a bathtub scene. If theyre going to goon, goon for both or don't goon at all.
I agree 100%!! I was looking forward to this trailer to see if they'd keep it fair but this is kinda disappointing. If the trailers are gunna have some extra fan service at least do it all the way ya know?

The rumors circulating was that he was originally only supposed to be an A Rank, but due to his popularity and demands for more male characters, on top of Harumasa being a patch away, they had to quickly promote him to S rank. Can't say if it's true or not, but it does line up a bit with how short his demo is, as if the animation team had to scramble just to make something for him in a rush job. A high quality rush job. Which is why most of his fanservice will probably be relegated to his story quest.

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for Harumasa's trailer-- if they treat his a bit more evenly then I think this one might've just been a fluke bc of the changes like you said!

Lighter lady over here! First time Lighter popped up in Lumina Square scared me too (I was like who the heck is this guy???) Altough i actually find him "lame" cool, I feel like he would be a great addition to my Sons of Caly team! Piper's my main so hope he can support her 😈.
Lighter is super cool and resembles ManlyBadassHero so I am pulling for him. Plus I'm hoping to snag a copy of Ben's wengine to complete my build for him. I'm conflicted about the fanservice levels. I was disappointed that they did not give any for Lighter, but then I remembered I criticized Yanagi's trailer for forcing fanservice on a character it doesn't fit, so they technically did it right in my eyes by giving the combat head a purely combat trailer. The double standard is still frustrating though. Well, Yanagi's 2d trailer was a pleasant surprise last time, maybe Lighter's will work on the other direction instead.
