Thank you 🙏🏻!! Great information ! You explained the options so clearly. You sound like a sweet compassionate doctor 🥼… I am so glad that you will be able to help so many chronic pain patients! May God bless you with his wisdom and keep you humbled ✨🙏🏻✨
Thank you for the time and efforts that you put into this thoughtful presentation. I was amazed at the tiny amount of information that was shared with me by my neurosurgeon. I kept thinking that as the time came, or at least on the day of my surgery more information would be shared, but that never, ever happened. I think the medical company that handeled my surgery processes back surgery patients through like slabs of meat at a meat processing facility. I started out with a chiropractor, who referred me to a pain specialist after a couple of years. All my pain specialist did was give me epidurals, which did nothing for the pain, in my case. Then he prescribed gabapentin, which, again, did nothing. Finally, he prescribed pregabalin, which alleviates the pain a little bit but makes me non-functional/loopy. I finally went to a neurosurgeon and was given a TLIF surgery. I came out of surgery in in excruciating pain AND my eyeball had somehow been terribly scratched while I was anesthetized. They did nothing to alleviate my eye pain and blindness.
Thank-you for this caring presentation. I had spinal surgery a long time ago and have been in almost constant pain since a few years after the surgery. I have seen pain specialists and have had all of the procedures you presented except the stimulator. The pain is extreme where the scar is located. Touching it is almost unbearable. But the regular low back pain persists. I don't know what to do and am having a hard time finding a pain specialist who really seems to know what they are doing. My life is limited in so many ways. I look forward to your advice. Thanks so much.
Daughter had magec rod implant early 2022 and left her with flatback-syndrome and post operative permanent neurological deficit. Post surgery, surgeon explained the intra operative that the neuromonitoring signal disappeared during lumbar screw implant, daughter's leg stopped moving, but they continued with the surgery until the end of the surgery. After the surgery, her legs started moving. We're wondering why they didn't perform the wake up test during the lost of the signal. Daughter woke up from surgery with leg numbness and swallow legs, leg jerking and shaking, hypersensitivity to touch. 2 months post op, loss of bowel and bladder control and it then recovered after 4 months. Since she woke up from the surgery, both legs were with electric shocks pain from lower back down to both feet, daily. She described as tingling, stabbing, needles pinched pain 24/7. It's been 15 months post op now, she's still suffering nerve pain daily. Permanent disability as a result of this outcome. Permanently in wheelchair now. She's still going back to the original surgeon fevery 8 weeks for magec lengthening procedures. The surgeon claimed it was a successful surgery and she needed to have more PT to get back to walking. The question now is how to resolve the Neurological deficit and flatback syndrome issues. She losses her natural lordosis curvature since the op and not able to bear weight to stand or walk upright. With the 24/7 tingling and electric shocks on both legs, it is extremely impossible for her to be able to stand straight to walk. Appreciate any input or advice to help her to get back her life.
I’m 28. Had a L4-5 tlif fusion 14 months ago that made my pain worse. 10x worse than it was before. I can’t move, sit, stand without horrible throbbing pain. Before surgery I used to have moderate/severe pain but that was definitely manageable to some degree. Maybe I wouldn’t be the same again but my life could go on with modifications and I was not disabled. Now here I’m lying in bed all day & night crying about the worst decision taken by me at this age. But there’s absolutely nothing that can be done. My life’s a tragedy. Don’t make yours. Please.
It also happens to me I was better before back fission l4. L5. S1 my left leg is real numb and weak .it wasn't like that before. I hate taking pain meds but I need to know. Surgeon really messed me up .thank you .
I got worse after the first fusion in 2018. My new surgeon found a loose screw and L5S1 instantly. My symptoms are being crushed to death, burned alive and electrocuted all at once. Numbness on the sides of both thighs. Muscles completely contracted from my lower back to my feet 🥺
I have back fusion about three years ago still in a lot of pain back pain have gone to management. They keep telling me because I’m 73 years old. It’s going to take more time to heal, but I’m having a hard time believing that.
I did L5-S1 10 millimetres and micro discetcomy in Belgrade Serbia So i‘m feeling pain in leg ,calfs, foot , ankle and my back also It hurts like before and i can’t walk and i can walk only if i limp My doctor said its normal pain and we need to wait 3 months and wait for my nerve to heal
I had L3 L4 and L5 fused and 2018 and I'm still in a lot of pain there's no pain in my feet but my butt hurts real bad and my lower back feel like it's going in and it's kind of difficult to walk but I can walk but it hurts real bad I did catch the infection the same month that I had my back surgery and they went back in but I'm still in a lot of pain what do I need to do
@B. L. I am really sorry to hear that about you. I lived about 2 years with a bulging disc that ended up with me basically paralyzed until I found a pain management doctor who immediately sent me to a surgeon. I got a microdiscectomy that seemed to not do a thing and the doctor kept saying everything was normal but I knew it wasn't right. I went back to that pain management doctor and he said my si joint was pinching off my nerve and he popped my hip(equal to hours of leg pain firing off at one) and an hour later I was walking and could feel my knee for the first time since I can remember. I thank God for Dr. Evenson. He called everyday almost to check and see how I was and he had only seen me for 15 minutes b4 he sent me to a surgeon. I truly hope that you and everyone living that life of pain can find hope and comfort!
@B. L. I know your feeling. I’ve recently had my dr take my pain medication away and I can’t find a way to control the pain. I’m in serious pain everyday and my dr had the audacity to ask me if I sale my pain medication. What a joke! Maybe you should focus on finding a way to help me with my pain because I would much rather not take pain medication and have another way to help me with my pain. This medication crap these days has gotten out of control and the people that suffer are the people like you and I who actually need it so we can live somewhat of a great life. I ask for help all the time and I get nothing. Why should we have to live in pain everyday? I’m a human being I shouldn’t be forced to suffer just because there are others out there that overdose on this medication. I’m not those people. Those people are living on the street and do way more harmful drugs so it’s a joke we are now compared to these people and my medication taken away because people sake them. Let’s think about this. You take more medicine away from people like me thinking it’s going to help but yet all it does is raise the cost of them on ghe street. These people out on the street will still get them and will still sale them. Lol. Makes no sense but yet it’s us that suffers at the end of the day.
Be 1 year in October had bone Grafts ,3 disk done, bar and Screws So much pain but using a cane now . Trying to get pain management but been waiting 3 months now
I had a laminectomy 19 months ago, pain is gone 90 %,but I can't and won't lift more than 6 kilos(15 pounds),If I do more than that pain starts radiating through my right leg which is temporary. So my advice- be careful from the very first day of your surgery and walk every day, distance must be increased little by little
thank you so much you're the only one that explained this alot better I had the sijoint fusion on both sides it's going to be one year on the 29 of this month I'm still in so much pain and I'm so depress please help me
Thank you Iam a firefighter who had a L3,L4 laminectomy decompression ,back in April 2022 And Iam still having some issues was hoping for you email for questions and advice
Before my spinal fusion I couldn't walk , and was confined to a wheelchair. Fast forward nineteen years later, and the pain is still at TEN out of TEN. I've tried everything but standing on my head. The surgery was scheduled to be 3.5 hours long, but ended up being almost 8 hours. Sadly I can't find a doctor to perform further surgery.
Hello. So sorry to hear what happened to you. It sounded like my story.. crazy. 19 years ago I had my back surgery. Loss the use of my left leg. Plus other issues. Pain is worse. On total disability now...There is no Doctor's that will give me the time of day........Hope you are feeling better.. Take care. You are in my prayers... God bless... Stitch
great info! i had a discectomy and laminectomy at L4 / L5 5 months ago (for a severely herniated disc). my nerve pinching type pain finally went away about a month ago (for the most part). but then about 10 days ago i passed gas in bed and felt a little pressure in the herniated disc area. ever since then i’ve had the pinching type pain that i had presurgery. in the same area. although not as severe as prior to surgery. it’s been non stop since that day. could this still be just the nerve flaring up from healing post surgery? any thoughts would help soo appreciated
I had a ten level fusion Nov 16, 2021 a few weeks ago I fell on my back really hard bending a rod and breaking a screw on one side and loose screw on the other side and with surgeon looking into it I had not fused from l5 s1. I'm guessing that they will have to open me up all the way to fix? Iv never completely been out of pain since the surgery and now every day goes by I feel I'm getting worse it's been 8 months I'm so depressed I want to leave this world.
How do I get in contact with you? I have so many questions but you have already answered so many. I had a double lumbar fusion and I’m begging for help with pain relief. I’d give anything to live a normal life.
I had rids and screws put ict 28 2021. in hospital 6 days. to date my back still hurts but 90 percent of left foot numbing gone. my lower back is painful chronically and standing up straight is painful. I did not know what to expect with this surgery. how long will it be as far as stiffness possibly going away as to being tolerable. I am impatient and was a dancer. so to.l9se mobility even tho at 73 let's face it I only dance for myself. do you have any suggestions as my 6 month post op is soon. please help I only want to walk normal again and stand straight. thank tou
That's a long time to be in the hospital maybe they ran into problems ask your doctor what the hells wrong atnd 🧚♀️🧚♀️tell him to fix it right this time and you'll `give him a personal lap dance. When you feel better
I had a Microdiscectomy 10 months ago. I have a problem rolling over in bed and still have pain while sleeping. When I stretch my back, it feels tender still. Is all this part if my process?
Don’t do it. I’m 28. Had same L4-5 fusion 14 months ago that made my pain worse. 10x worse than it was before. I can’t move, sit, stand without horrible throbbing pain. Before surgery I used to have moderate/severe pain but that was definitely manageable to some degree. Maybe I wouldn’t be the same again but my life could go on with modifications and I was not disabled. I'm still in pain. Discectomy. It's been since April 28th 2023. I thought I was going to get better. I got worse. Numbness down my legs and more pain right in the middle of my sacral area. L4 and L5. I CAN'T BEND OR MOVE OR WALK THE WAY I USED TO. I have been doing PT. doesn't help. I'm on pain medication. I don't want to live like this.
I had lumbar fusion TLIF L3/4 forspondylolithesis I am 2wks out. I am having horrible IT band pain that is impacting my ability to walk like I want. Is my fusion failing??
God-bless you and thank you for your information I has mine fusion surgery surgery 7 months ago and and I'm beginning to have pains on my legs Please can you help me with this I went to my doctor and my doctor said he come from the surgery that is gonna go away and I hope I hope to God it will God-bless you
I have NOT had back surgery yet & am very ambivalent about having it. I am very relieved about your non-surgical approaches. Would you be able to offer diagnostic procedures if I submit my MRI & report taken 2 weeks ago? I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your concern for people like me who suffer from disc degeneration disease. Amen!
for God's sake, educate *yourself* ! I have accepted that I will have chronic pain for the rest of my life. Two years after "minor" lumbar surgery I am in constant pain, reduced mobility and dizziness. I was not warned by the surgeons of the risks. The medical industry made hundreds of thousands profit from my case. Never again.
@@alnonickname570 I've had 2 spinal fusion surgeries, the second one being a revision. I wasn't warned I may not actually fuse, of which didn't. I mean, maybe that should have been a given, but honestly didn't enter my mind. I too have resolved myself to the idea I will be in chronic pain for the rest of my life. If I had a time machine, I'd go back and NEVER have the first surgery!
Just wondering how I may be able to talk to you. I've had 2 back surgeries 1 failed fusion and the other i have no idea the pain is so bad I can't live my life hardly at all I have 0 reflex in my left foot the pain is sending me into a depression. I need help please help
Please can u answer my question, my brother got operation and he was fine 2 days ,after he couldn't walk.we all so worry .he needs to do operation number 2.😓😔
@@spturner360 wow that’s great to hear congratulations I’m 3 weeks out from ALIF fusion I’m having back pain and still have numbness and tingling throughout my legs nerves but I believe it’s part of the healing process and the body and nerves adapting to the changes.
Hi Doc I have a question for you please. I just had a lower lumbar discectomy 2 weeks ago for my L5-L6 herniated disc because my sciatica was unbearable and I've been struggling with the pain for the past 8 years. I was told the sciatic pain should be gone by now. I'm afraid that I reherniated it a few days after surgery by lifting my dog or it was just a failed surgery. Is it normal to still have sciatic pain 2 weeks post op? I keep hearing that the sciatic pain should have been gone almost immediately and it's definitely still going down my buttocks and leg. Thank you!!
Hi, not a doctor just sharing my experience. I’m 3 weeks post op since my surgery, my doctor said that it’s normal to have some mild sciatic pain because the nerve is still healing. Only time will tell, However you really should try to avoid lifting anything heavy this early after surgery. The likelihood seems rare that you would reherniate that easily.
Hello the same thing happened to me and I think that it's because two weeks post op I became more active. Definitely don't lift your dog or bend at the waist. I hope you feel better.
I had back surgery for 2nd time 4 months ago. Now pain is so severe goes across my waist when trying to stand or sit up. Like when you stay leaned over. 100 xs worse. I read my condition is rare. Sphyndholestis. When I stand it takes my breath makes my bowels wanna come out it feels like.
This was a really long video to basically say that most all recommendations are injection shots for pain management. Good luck out there to all of us that survived life after back surgery!
I need help I had back surgery through my stomach a year ago and I'm worse. I still have the pain in my back and bad sciatica pain with numbness and tingling. What do I do
Great info. Here's my story. I had fusion on low back Jan 18, 2021. I am in extreme pain each morning and throughout the day. I can barely walk and have to use walker for awhile once I get up. We bought new mattress which helps some but still pain each day. I've had therapy twice and its good while doing it but once I stop the pain is still there. Something can't be right this many months after surgery. Any suggestions for me?
How are you doing now? Did your spine actually fuse? I've had 2 fusion surgeries and my spine won't fuse. I too use a walker when I'm out and about which isn't much because I'm in too much pain. Fusions really suck for some people and can make us even worse than before surgery. I'm going to be doing a spinal stimulator trial and hope and pray it helps!
I had a L5S1 Fusion I'm 6 weeks in and having lots of pain still. It feels like it's the screws in the S1 but my surgeon acts like I shouldn't be in pain because x-ray looks good.. I just wonder if this pain will ever go away?? Thanks
Today is 6 weeks since my surgery, I had disc replacement l4-L5, no fusion of multiple levels but i also still feel pain , but I assume it’s from the incision. My guess is that your body is still adapting, is your pain gone now?
The pain seems to be something most people including me have to live with and you'll get no sympathy from the surgeon, it's on to the next victim for him
I am not a believer in pain doctors. 3 injections and no relief. Had surgery 2 weeks ago. I have had worse pain since surgery than I did before. Hopefully it gets better !
I had a laminectomy and discectomy from L-2 thru S-1. fairly active and I n therapy. I take very little muscle relaxers or pain pill. Got quite some time only 1 a day. I’m am still in pain most the time. Sometimes really bad. My left leg is cold and numb. Is pain at this time normal
I'm going on 4 months post op and im still in quite a bit of pain, can't stand up straight, and can't walk normally. I'm really starting to get worried
6 months post laminectomy with fusion. After 1 month I developed a massive seroma which took weeks to drain. The seroma even opened a small section of my incision. Now 6 months later the sciatica pain down the front and back of both legs is horrible. I have a desk job and I feel the pain is worsening. Help!
I had two levels fused. Although my fusion fixed the excruciating pain coming from my annular tears I wound up with excruciating pain which all feels sciatic. I have done EVERYTHING available and the only thing that has helped is medication. I’ve been told it’s scar tissue.
After reading most of these posts this just reaffirms my decision not to go the surgery route, I am so afraid I will wind up in worse shape then I am now.
The The Thing about surgery is that it's not alwais yours. To make. Sometimes it's more in your best interest to do. , for example, every year. My spinal cord and nerves were being more and more. Squeezed and strangled, to the point where I was risking permanent nerve damage and even paralysis. Dot just knowing that those nerves and my spinal cord were being pinched off. More and more was freaking me out. And I definitely needed that fix dot I'm 6 days out of surgery now and dealing with a bad sciatica. Type pain, but I'm trying to stay positive thinking about how much more space those nerves have now. And maybe that's why they are firing wildly again trying to regenerate, I hope that's the case. 🤞
Could someone help me with answers?) I had a back surgery to removal herniated disk, after two weeks I still feel some kind of discomfort and numbness in my right leg (which was terrible pain before surgery) just thing is week after surgery I felt only numbness, and now pain is come. Is it normal? And which symptoms says that I need to go to doctor?
I'm 3 mon post Spinal Fusion Surgery and I can't walk more than 15min and sitting more than 10min is killing me . I had severe spinal stenosis 14months before surgery. I have terrible pain along my hips and lower back and numbness in bothering legs and feet below knees. Will I be better by 6months. Should I becoming physio ??
I have pissed nerve in my lower l5 and the doctors over here don't want to give me the surgery and my left leg been going out so much I don't feel a couple times I asked I have to go to another doctor and see what's going on cuz I never heard of this bad and the next but I know my leg go out and my back and I fall I don't feel eight times already what this is a pissed nerve can I do the surgery
I was diagnosed with failed back syndrome after I had my neck and back fused in 2015 I’m in a lot of pain is there any kind of relief or help for my situation? I have had injections but didn’t help It feels like my back is been torn or sliced with a very sharp knife. My pain management dr tells me he can’t find anything wrong or where the pain is cheating coming from.
I just had this done 6 days ago and am experiencing horrendous electric shock/jolt type pain of the nerves at right below my buttock and going down into the back of my thigh (not through my butt though, but just under). I was feeling this pain before but not to this extent - I can hardly stand because of it. It makes me actually scream out loud. Is this nerves waking up and it will go away. Or what is wrong??? Somebody, please answer me. I'm freaking out badly and still taking my pain medication. Incision is looking good, doesn't hurt and healing well. But this sciatic(?) type pain is killing me. Except for this nerve pinching I would be recovering very well. But this is intolerable and literally brutal. I'm dying 😢
I have the exact same pain and at the exact location on one of my lef after my scoliosis surgery. I also experience leg cramp. How has it been for you? It has been almost 2 weeks since the surgery and the pain is getting worse? I felt some pain before but now its to the point of having trouble walking. It has been 2 months since you made this comment. Is the pain still there or has the pain disappearead?
i don't understand why these people asking questions from UA-cam doctor or they want answers by the law he can't give you any opinion he is not your treating doctor. That's why u have your primary care doctor and he can referral u to see pain management specialist. 1 if the pain management did not approve ur pain with in 6 months. Ask ur doctor to send u to different pain management for second opinion.
I have it in my lower spine my legs feel weak my hips ache when I walk you can make me stop dead in my tracks when walking I go to a pain management I need help on my medication I need to know what the best medication to help me through this process I'm 55 years old I used to be athletic I'm down to 150 lb I have no muscles in my legs or arms because of this illness I really need somebody to help me and maybe I can tell my doctor at the pain management Clinic to help this I don't want to say he's clueless but it seems like he doesn't know very much about it I don't want to find another doctor can my primary doctor help me with a medication do I really need to go to a pain management
What about not being able to walk after my fusion. It actually started after micro. Discectomy of L2 and 3. Couldn’t even stand let alone walk2 yrs later after decompression of 5 to S1 And fusion still no balance and can’t walk !! Can’t bend either ! What would you suggest.
I'm really confused about RFA. The anesthesiologist that does my epidural injection says that the nerves that are basically being crushed by my spine or Mobility or movement type nerves not sensory nerves I'm getting tons of neuropathic symptoms down my left legs and now beginning on my right leg even to the point of feeling running water down my leg warm water sometimes cold water the time. I was told RFA could not be done on me because of the situation with the nerves. Each epidural that I get changes the location duration and intensity of the pain that I end up with after the epidural. Sometimes I stay with the same symptoms that I walked in with for a week or two and some sometimes the symptoms change immediately upon walking out of the office. And I'm overweight and I'm told that I have to get my body weight down to under 30 BMI and way in the 145-pound category otherwise I'm not a candidate for spinal fusion at this point I can barely walk a few feet before my thighs start hurting and I feel weakness in my legs . Fortunately I have not falling down but once when I couldn't feel my foot hitting the floor. I know my back is really messed up I have arthritis spondylolisthesis scoliosis disc degeneration spinal stenosis period and I'm in constant pain which can range in a day from Level 1 to level 10 what the neuropathy is the worst is that feeling of burning stinging stabbing sleeping... that annoyance that just doesn't go away the spasms when I get in my legs are horrible sometimes laughing 10 minutes. Even the skin is tender to the touch sometimes and feel sunburned two times. I don't know who to believe my neurosurgeon hasn't laid a finger on me and apparently has been able to diagnose the type of surgery he can do on me just by looking at the MRIs and xrays. However he hasn't told me what he would do or what bones are involved with joints are involved in my back that he would fix. He will not commit to making me feel any better stating that there's no guarantee that any of my pain will go away did often times people come out worse than they went in with. So who do I believe what I'm hoping is that as in lose the weight my back problems will be resolved
u make a statement our dr will walk u threw it LMFAO , all my Dr says is yes, yes yes to every question . he got paid hes done with you!!!!!!!!!!!! there days will come
Jesus try and spot the comment that says the Operation worked and was worth it it's full of horror stories in here. I'm 2 months post OP and in worse pain that before, struggle to walk or do anything.
I have numbness in legs and and arms years after surgery also I had my leg completely disappeared when I got out of bed and started walking i fell on the floor because one of my legs did not work what could it be

I have a L5 & S1 decompression and fusion feb of this year now iam going back under for a TLIF L5 & S1 revision & Reinsertion
They are want to fuse l4 now already did l5s1 6 years ago it's been a hard road of pain
@@exposedtv398how did it turn out for you?
I had a spinal fusion in 2014 and the pain never went away. My legs ache, my hips ache and my lower back pain is terrible.
Trying to get pain management but been waiting 3 months now
I had spinal fusion with disc replaced in 2015 and my back is in agony.take care
I had a laminectomy 19 months ago, pain is gone 90 %,but I can't and won't lift more than 6 kilos(15 pounds),If I do more than that pain starts radiating through my right leg which is temporary. So my advice- be careful from the very first day of your surgery and walk every day, distance must be increased little by little
thank you so much you're the only one that explained this alot better I had the sijoint fusion on both sides it's going to be one year on the 29 of this month I'm still in so much pain and I'm so depress please help me
If it makes you feel any better your not suffering alone

A stimulater blocked no pain but it was good at irritating me.
Thank you you help me
Before my spinal fusion I couldn't walk , and was confined to a wheelchair. Fast forward nineteen years later, and the pain is still at TEN out of TEN. I've tried everything but standing on my head. The surgery was scheduled to be 3.5 hours long, but ended up being almost 8 hours. Sadly I can't find a doctor to perform further surgery.
Sorry for.your pain I think I'm gonna be needing a second one on my back.hips right knee locking up on me hurts like hell can't get anything for pain
Stitch
If you watch this video and your back hurts as the Dr. Flops or slams down in chair at the beginning of the video, You know you have back issues.
😂👍🏻
great info! i had a discectomy and laminectomy at L4 / L5 5 months ago (for a severely herniated disc). my nerve pinching type pain finally went away about a month ago (for the most part). but then about 10 days ago i passed gas in bed and felt a little pressure in the herniated disc area. ever since then i’ve had the pinching type pain that i had presurgery. in the same area. although not as severe as prior to surgery. it’s been non stop since that day. could this still be just the nerve flaring up from healing post surgery? any thoughts would help soo appreciated
Could you please update how is the pain now ?.
Great info, just had
Hi doc , it has been 4 months post back surgery and I would feel stiffness on the waist , lately nausea here and there
I had a Microdiscectomy 10 months ago. I have a problem rolling over in bed and still have pain while sleeping. When I stretch my back, it feels tender still. Is all this part if my process?
Back surgery is a scam.Don't do it!
Should I have back surgery on L4 L5 replacing bulged disk with titanium disk and 4 screws to secure in place pain level 8 to 10 most of the time
read all these poor people suffering - worse than before surgery - Leave your back alone!
Now here I’m lying in bed all day & night crying about the worst decision taken by me at this age. But there’s absolutely nothing that can be done. My life’s a tragedy. Don’t make yours. Please.
It's alot of nerve damage I think. From my research. I don't think the problem was addressed.
I hope you get better
I had lumbar fusion TLIF L3/4 forspondylolithesis
I am 2wks out. I am having horrible IT band pain that is impacting my ability to walk like I want. Is my fusion failing??
Give it awhile it takes months to start getting relief and results, have patients
God-bless you and thank you for your information I has mine fusion surgery surgery 7 months ago and and I'm beginning to have pains on my legs Please can you help me with this I went to my doctor and my doctor said he come from the surgery that is gonna go away and I hope I hope to God it will God-bless you
Hi I need your help with my back...I still having pain after back surgery 9 years ago

Curious what they said to tell you the fusion failed? did it not solve the initial issue or something else?

I hope he feels better now

Yes ✋ he did second operation he's back to work.
Had l5s1 Tlif a week ago. I still have pain 😞 . I'm also weak. Gonna rest today
How are u now? I’m 2.5 weeks out same surgery and In worse pain now then before surgery.

I had same thing have them prescribed them gabapentin
Wow, I didn't know there was such thing as an L6.
@@gargoylegirl247the L6 is actually called lumbarization if you want to google it. I have it too.
The pain seems to be something most people including me have to live with and you'll get no sympathy from the surgeon, it's on to the next victim for him
@@johnmitchell8925 I absolutely Agree 💯%....
After surgery when does pain go away if u have a nerve root that affects one leg and foot❤?
I had slipped and fell which ended in 5 level fusion. Nothing but complications. When or ever will I be normal again. I’m in so much pain.
Back surgery is a scam.Don't do it!
After reading most of these posts this just reaffirms my decision not to go the surgery route, I am so afraid I will wind up in worse shape then I am now.
Trust me its worth it after 2 months i was able go back to work full time after l5-s1 fusion
I got the surgery and it changed my life for the better
Definitely something to REALLY think about. I'm one of the unlucky ones.

I'm freaking out badly and still taking my pain medication. Incision is looking good, doesn't hurt and healing well. But this sciatic(?) type pain is killing me. Except for this nerve pinching I would be recovering very well. But this is intolerable and literally brutal. I'm dying 😢
