I have been using this for lure fishing from the surf ever since I got it. Last weekend I caught a 7lb corvina, which put up the first real fight I have had with this reel. The bearing in the drag makes a noticeable difference. Butter smooth runs every time, with no jumps or pulls. I paired it with a Yamaga Blanks for Surf 103M. Perfectly balanced combination!!!!
@@Dariuslynel What I like about this one is that, if I get hit by a big wave, or accidentally dump mu reel on the sand or salt water, I have peace of mind that nothing will break or corrode. Cannot say that about any other reel aside from a Van Staal IMO.
I have purchased 3 4500 reels like this. But have yet to use them. Will use in March. How long have you been fishing yours?
I have had it for over 10 months, and still happy with it. It works great and the drag’s smooth too.
The rotors plastic on the 2500 DX I've got the 3500dx.im not that impressed with mine.thank you for the review.
The internal rotor or the material on the body?

@@pablocontreras8767 nice. I am from South America as well. I own a Penn Battle III DX so I am sure if I need the upgrade we’ll see 😁.
