Back in the spring of 2001 I had just finished 3rd grade and because I got straight A’s, my mom said she would buy me any video game I wanted and this gem right here was it. We went to the local Kmart ( old school right) and she paid 60 bucks for this game. What a time warp

Were they really? I had no idea what they were for, I just collected them instinctively assuming they were going towards something. Now that you bring that up, yeah It's kinda weird. I never once questioned it...

This game and Conker were made by classic Rare, so it's no surprise both are great games :)

Team Sonic Racing is just like this with the personalized responses to other racers.
This game had its charm. I wish they made successors.

If I remember correctly, The tokens are used to increase your top speed like in Mario Kart or Diddy Kong Racing.
But it caps at 10.
