I am feeling so grateful to newslaundry because of their efforts, we are able to hear to the voices of the people and able to understand their problems from their perspective. How the political situation is there and how things are. Thank you newslaundry team.
The guy with long hair: your answers were brilliant. I am really impressed by your thought process. Kindly continue your studies (MA, PhD). We need people like you. Much love.
One such programme should be done with the cross section of the society particularly people aged above 50 years of age, we are proud of our youngsters who have represented the voice and concern of a common Kashmiri.
It was better if this interview was done in Urdu/Hindi language so people who are unknown to English can connect with the message of Kashmiris easily but I appreciate the team of NL for showing the ground reality. Hats off for real journalism.
What an interesting discussion ...loved every bit of it ....I luv how Politically informed & rationale are the youth of Kashmir. They're way more politically informed than the youth we've here in Jammu. It's just amazing to see by someone from Jammu! I'm really excited to visit Kashmir in November. I've more reasons to go der now besides food, bakery & lovely sceneries to refresh our memories. Luv frm Jammu!
Great discussion! Hey Manisha ma'am, I've heard that you read all the comments 😂🙈. Ma'am I really hope you come and do a similar discussion here in Jammu as well. We the people from Jammu have been totally sidelined from media reports during these elections and there's a general disappointment among the masses here that they are always ignored at the behest of Kashmir and Kashmir centric politics. There's a need to capture the the problems and issues of the general public here which hasn't been done by any mainstream media till now. Would love to have you here doing similar discussions with the students of Jammu of dogra community. Thankyou and kudos to you and your team for the great work you all are doing.❤️
Hi sunshine. True you are been ignored BUT not on behest of Kashmiris...I dont think they are so powerful. Great to see reporting from Kashmir! However, the small sample size only scratches the surface. We're missing out on the stories of PhD students, researchers, and faculty who are directly affected by the region's politics. To truly understand the challenges faced by Kashmir's youth, we need to hear from a wider range of voices. Including more diverse perspectives would add depth and nuance to the conversation. Same flaw was with the Rahul Gandhi's conversation with cherrypicked women from Kashmir.
Despite the disagreements, great initiative by Newslaundry. At least making an effort to engage with the youth. By the way, when are we going to make “Gujarat (and the thousands of other massacres of Muslims in India) Files”? [Forget about Kashmir and its genocide and massacres]. Or does it not matter because they didn’t flee their homes?
These people weren’t lying when they said, “fear is in the air”; you can hear it in their voices and their selection of words. Hey, Newslaundry, I’ll give you an interview, but only if you take responsibility for my security. That’s exactly why we say, "fear is in the air." The students were also too afraid to speak openly, which is why they didn’t even touch the real issues.
