जम्मू कश्मीर पीपुल्स कॉन्फ्रेन्स के नेता सज्जाद लोन की इस चुनाव में उतनी चर्चा नहीं है जितनी अन्य पार्टियों के नेताओं की हो रही है. लेकिन राजनीति में कब, कौन और कितना महत्वपूर्ण हो जाएगा कहा नहीं जा सकता है. अतीत में सज्जाद लोन कश्मीर की राजनीति के एक अहम किरदार रहे हैं.
लोन की उत्तर कश्मीर की राजनीति पर अच्छी खासी पकड़ है. एक समय पर उन्होंने अपने पिता के नक़्शे-कदम पर चलते हुए अलगाववाद की राजनीति की लेकिन बाद में वो मुख्यधारा की राजनीति में शामिल हो गए. मालूम हो कि सज्जाद लोन के पिता अब्दुल गनी लोन की हत्या पाकिस्तानी आतंकवादियों द्वारा कर दी गई थी.
सज्जाद लोन इस चुनाव में दो विधानसभा सीटों हंदवाड़ा और कुपवाड़ा से चुनाव लड़ रहे हैं. इसके अलावा उनकी पार्टी कुल बीस विधानसभा सीटों पर किस्मत आजमा रही हैं.
इस इंटरव्यू में हमने लोन से विधानसभा चुनाव, उनकी पार्टी और राजनीति के अलावा धारा 370 समेत कश्मीर के तमाम अहम मुद्दों पर बात की.

One person is naming Abdullahs and carry on with Congress not issuing him passport for visiting his wife in Pakistan. What would have happened if the present government had done so ? All godi channels have made stories see ,56 inches has not given visa to a person from J&K to visit his wife in PAKISTAN. Election means level playing field and not vote cutwa parties or persons in the field

When will you speak to a Kashmiri Pandit or Dogri or Pahadi people? Appreciate you speaking to a suppressed sect of people but your bias is so evident. Everyone in J&K is suffering one way or the other. Is the suffering of one more important than the other?
