- Cheap, lightweight and durable van cabinets you can make at home without carpentry experience. This cabinet face is just holes in plywood but you can put doors on yours or recycle a cabinet face. I think bypass sliding doors work better than hinged cabinet doors in the tight spaces of a van.

I like how u simplify things for us regular people. Thank you. I have a low roof 2004 2500 118” and I want to add some cabinets. Is there a specific reason why the cabinets shouldn’t cover the windows?
No specific reasons other than the obvious, being able to see the back of cabinet from outside, blocking window view from inside. Of course it is hard to secure a board to the wall but if you cabinet spans to support on both sides of window it can be strong.
